I feel sorry for people like Rev. Wright, if I happen to think of them at all. Strange that such angry language could make him happy…Seems that the evolution of civil rights leaders (if you can call many current leaders that) has actually been anti-Darwinian.

Interesting that your username is “3rd way” — which is the political philosophy known as Fascism. Fascism was the “3rd way” of governing (Classical Liberalism and Communism being the other two).

Obama attended the man’s church, wrote glowingly of him in his memoir, and titled his second book based on a speech Rev. Wright gave. He was baptized in the church, as were his children. He retained Rev. Wright to head his campaign’s religious outreach group.

If Reverend Wright’s not a mentor to Senator Obama, who is?

Saying he’s not doesn’t prevent it from being true, just as saying he is doesn’t make it so. Evidence, even circumstantial, suggests they were close, are close, and share a common view of government’s role in the lives of people.

I was a public school teacher in the hood of milwaukee last year. I was the minority with both the staff and the students. I corrected English daily. My job was never questioned because of my actions in correcting student’s English. Maybe your friend is a bad teacher. Lord knows there’s enough of those out there.

And for the record, I still support Obama in ’08, despite this guys rumored “influence” on Obama.

After this speech you guys are going to have to put an end to these lies about Wright being his mentor. This speech was organized by a Hillary supporter, Wright says he isn’t his mentor, Obama says he isn’t his mentor.

If anything Wright has now made himself an enemy of Obama.

What amazed me (as an Obama supporter – don’t hate me!:)) was that the Reverend, while quite flip and, some might say, defiant, clearly didn’t think about the effect this would have on the voters’ impression of Obama.

Like it or not, the two are connected, and Rev. Wright would be better off coming across as a rational, concerned individual instead of one that clearly doesn’t care about getting his candidate of choice elected. This is all about him now.

Any other student at a public school is taught how to speak English and it’s alright. A friend of mine is a speech therapist and if she corrects the speech of a black child she would be fired……..for being racist! Foreign exchange students are not held back that way.
