Remember when ACORN’s defenders, including “Chief Organizer” Bertha Lewis herself, as well as a host of media pundits and “real news” entities, insisted that amateur investigative filmmakers James O’Keefe and Hanna Giles had been “thrown out” – exact quotation – “shown the door” at ACORN’s Philadelphia office after the prospect of illegal activity was discussed?
ACORN Office Manager Katherine Conway-Russell even gave testimony to Media Matters in which she denied unequivocally that any illegal activity had ever been discussed.
Whoops. Somebody’s gonna’ have some explaining to do.
O’Keefe and Giles did find the door, eventually (and voluntarily) after repeatedly discussing prostitution, the nature of their “all cash” business, avoiding trouble with the police, Giles’ supposed former “abusive pimp,” and underage sex trade with Conway-Russell for a full 32 minutes according to excerpts of a video released today.
The filmmakers were welcomed by ACORN staffers long enough that the batteries on their camera started running out of juice. As O’Keefe and Giles left, Conway-Russell gave the pair a business card, asked them to call her personally if they had any further questions, and invited them to an upcoming housing workshop.
With a look of disgust on her face the entire time, undoubtedly.

How can you tell Bertha Lewis, any ACORN member or ACORN supporter is lying? Their lips are moving.
