Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Education reporter Alan Borsuk has an article in today’s MJS which provides some insight into Barack Hussein Obama’s (mmm mmm mmm) visit to a Madison school this past week. Borsuk refers to it as a subtle message “aimed right at Wisconsin and Milwaukee”. I’d interpret it more as a subtle message to WEAC since it involves “using student data to evaluate teachers” among other things currently being discussed by Jim Doyle and the legislature. Seems when the prospect of billions of federal dollars (and perhaps other favors) is in the balance, loyalty becomes just another word to some people. How ya like Doyle and Obama now WEAC? I actually believe there are alot of really good teachers who are quietly saying among themselves, “FINALLY the slugs are going to be held accountable.”
Then there’s this from State Senator Lena Taylor: “There were two words I clung on to – ‘transform’ and ‘remake.’ … I feel like I’m under the charge of the president now.” Hey, but don’t worry WEAC! Governor Scott Walker will rescind these changes and restore you to your rightful place in the power structure – NOT!

Weac’s biggest mistake happened about 20 years ago (well, it actually happened when they unionized).. but they would not allow experienced professionals in Engineering, Mathmatics, Biology, Physics etc..
to teach.
FLOCK WEAC.

There is no joy in mudville … you don’t understand the deal that was cut. Dems passed a law that only will allow teachers to be disciplined using test data IF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT HAS NEGOTIATED THAT ABILITY INTO THEIR CONTRACT. So, Dems can thump chests over going after fed money, teachers still immune from accountability. (I got this today from a GOP state senator).
