While searching for information on the Detroit incident, I came across these two tragedies: 11 year old girl found dead and Salvation Army Major shot and killed in front of his children.

The thing that gets me about the salvation army dude is what the hell was he doing with his kids in that area.. the salvation army office was across the street from a welfare housing complex.. It’s tragic as hell and shows the absolute animalistic tendencies of those crap bags, but for god’s sake if you’re venturing into a war zone DON’T BRING YOUR KIDS.

Uh, corbin, if that’s the community center he and his wife have been assigned to lead, the kids were probably there a lot (and chances are they lived nearby). Certainly it would be full of neighborhood kids for programs and meals and whatnot. Refusing to take their own kids to the center where they work with kids would be some Obama-level Sidwell-for-my-kids/failing-DC-schools-for-other-black-children hypocrisy, not to mention a violation of the whole “go among them and spread Christ’s love” thing that’s the whole reason for joining the Salvation Army in that capacity in the first place.

Point to the passage in the bible that says ” though must take thine own to the slaughter house”.
I never allowed my wife to visit me when I was still in school and bartending.. does that make me a hypocrite ? Alot of locals took their kids in their and many left them out on the sidewalk in strollers ( till 2 am). Still remember a regular taking a pitcher of water outside to scare away the “cat”. Was ultimately a drunk pregnant woman at the bar with one in the stroller outside.. (didn’t know she was preggers, couldn’t see he gut over the bar).
