My County Board Supervisor, Toni Clark, proved today that she is a crook. Of course, many of us suspected that by her past actions, like when she tried to stick taxpayers with her junket to Obama’s inauguration with Supervisor Elizabeth Coggs. This also stems back to the John Doe probe at which State Sen. Lena Taylor (also my representative…I’m so proud) agreed to testify as long as anything she said couldn’t be used against her… That inspires confidence, doesn’t it?
Today, Toni Clarke was charged with submitting a false campaign finance report, a felony punishable by up to 3½ years in prison. She was nailed so dead-to-rights that she is going to plead guilty tomorrow and accept sentencing immediately.
Not only is she a thief, stealing at least $6,545, it seem she also has a gambling problem. Fortunately, her guilty plea will result in her being removed from office. Hopefully my neighbors will elect someone that is honest, someone we can be proud of, but I’m not holding my breath.
Supervisor Clark to plead guilty to felony, be removed from office

It seems clear that this is a “negotiated issuance,” meaning that if Clark did not contest this one count, more serious charges (or just more charges) would not be issued. The Criminal Complaint might sketch out what those additional counts could have been…but sometimes they’re just disclosed at sentencing…we’ll see…

Yeah, they must have had some good stuff on her, and probably others, for her to accept this charge.
I would like to know what Lena “don’t you know who I am?” Taylor has done to make her plead the 5th just to testify.

The man fabricated all of this only because she is black.

Six months in jail, three years probation.
Which of course means that she’ll be back on the county payroll, in some way, shape, or form, within one year from today.
Mark your calendars!

Tip of the iceberg (which includes national politics).

Maybe she could be a BLACKJACK dealer?
Do any of you remember Tony Czaja? (Sp)
He got a plum job after his shit canning.

Yep, it was Tony Czaja. Back in the good old TOM AMENT days. Craptard Liebenthal must be so very very proud. IN fact, Tony Czaja was in the district that Crapper currently lives in.

6 months work release, what a joke. And she will likely get a yearly pension worth more than she stole.

Odds she’ll go into child care anybody?

Actually, apparently she is already planning to use that excuse for Huber. The paper wrote that she has two kids, not her own, living with her… I suspect that number will grow… at least on paper.

2 kids not her own. Great role model. Convicted felon.
