91% of black 4th graders can not read, and if anyone tries to change that, the liberal establishment, especially the black leaders, scream bloody murder.
Why is it when we point these things out and try to make things better for these children, we are called bigots by those whose job it is to actually teach and make things better for them? They have failed our kids for decades and dont want anything to change.
Who are the real bigots?

We could spend a lot of time and energy trying to understand the underlying causes of the almost complete meltdown of literacy amongst black kids; and the causes are many, and none easily fixed, if fix-able at all (which I doubt). But teachers and schools are far up on the pyramid of causes – the base is, of course, the elimination of the black nuclear family, the now irreversible black culture/prison mentality nexus, the end of the availability of low skill or semi skill jobs in Milwaukee, and chronic semi-homelessness of black females with their all-different-father kids, etc. The only local black leader who ever addresses these issues is David Clarke – and I think he’s been reduced to frustrated ranting; even David seems to have come to the conclusion that blacks live in a death culture…the remaining black leaders (Michael Holt??) whoever they are, understand this. They know change is impossible, and thus argue against any…

Let me see if I understand this.
Average pay of MPS teacher is $100,000.00 @ year with retirement in mid-50′s.
9% of black 4th graders can read.
I blame Bush.

Obviously, the answer to this problem is a more powerful teachers’ union and more spending per pupil.
You stupid mouth-breathers are so dense. Enlighten yourselves, for god’s sake. You’re embarrassing the compassionate progressives who do everything for these children.
(Except help them LEARN.)

Where are those who claim to be “leaders in the black community?”
What is their reaction?
What is their solution?
Either silence by said “leaders” or a lack of reporting by the “mainstream” media.

Let us remember the report from The MacIver Institute:
Average MPS Teacher Compensation Tops $100k/year
This for the worst preforming schools for black children in the entire country.

Bruce don’t you mean more spending per teacher/admin/staff?

That’s all they’re concerned about. Very true, Jay.

Just saw a great MPS COMMERCIAL less than a minute ago.
“Teachers who really know their stuff” One “prop” of a child says.
Why would MPS need to advertise?
Doesn’t the 9% literacy rate of black 4th graders attract kids from all points of the compass??
Maybe FOLKTUNES could fill us in on that?
Crapper has the SOCIALIST WORKER angle covered for us.
Maybe Keith Schitz could be our point man on SMALL BUSINESS or possibly our FOOD CRITIC here??

I just saw another MPS commercial:
“Milwaukee Public Schools…our record speaks for itself.”
Naw…just kidding. They know better than to say that.
Can anyone name another public school district that runs advertisements? Does anyone know what their adverstising budget amounts to?

Can anyone name another public school district that runs advertisements?
Syracuse Public Schools run ridiculous TV ads with a bunch of non-white kids reciting garbage like “In December 2041, I broker a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine” (Palestine!? WTF?!) and “In January 2037, I discover the cure for breast cancer”, implying that pouring more state and county money into the schools, these things will never happen and it will be all your fault, you greedy selfish jerk.
The ads on the buses are more of the “it’s your responsibility to sign your child up for free lunch, breakfast, and snack–don’t worry! That doesn’t affect how much money you get on your state food debit card!” variety.
It’s a racket, just like the mob, except the mob was less destructive on society.
