It couldn’t have happened to a nicer Racist!
July 21st, 2010 at 5:59 pm
Umm, didn’t read all the updates on the story, huh?
She’s a liberal with the typical class warfare/socialist beliefs, but she clearly was screwed over by this story. Watch her speech in context (link on this post).
July 21st, 2010 at 9:14 pm
Any person so focused on race 1st is a Racist, period.
July 21st, 2010 at 9:57 pm
But if you listen to the whole story, it is about how she overcame those feelings.
I’m not saying I would agree with her on much, if anything, but that doesn’t change the fact that she was unfairly treated in this case. To not acknowledge this fact, undermines the credibility of anyone that holds with the out of context comments, even after listening to the whole thing.
July 21st, 2010 at 10:41 pm
Patrick she talks completely in racial terms. She talked about the white guy getting one of HIS PEOPLE as an attorney. This woman received 3oo hundred thousand dollars in a racial lawsuit against the very man she works for now. Then she got a job from him one year ago this week.
Open your eyes. This woman is a race hustler.
July 22nd, 2010 at 6:25 am
Patrick, Robt. KKK Byrd was also a racist who did some right things, but first and foremost in his thinking as in Sherrod’s is race and that makes them a racist, as is the crowd she was speaking too. They were all down with crapping on whitey.
July 22nd, 2010 at 7:58 am
“This woman is a race hustler.”
“They were all down with crapping on whitey.”
Idiots.
July 22nd, 2010 at 11:22 am
Part of me agrees she was screwed. The other part thinks it’s about timje we white folk had a little parity. I propose that she be given exactly the same amount of forgiveness and undestanding the NAACP would offer to a white male under the same circumstances.
July 22nd, 2010 at 11:28 am
Great comment, tinman-tim. Completely insignificant.
July 22nd, 2010 at 12:33 pm
There is nothing good about this story. That our President could so easily be duped is disturbing.
July 22nd, 2010 at 1:13 pm
She should have just kept her mouth shut, lest anyone think she were racist. Now her true feelings come out:
http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2010/07/shirley-sherrod-obama-is-not-someone-who-has-experienced-what-i-have-experienced-through-life.html
July 22nd, 2010 at 4:31 pm
Wouldn’t it be appropriate to condemn the moron who started this whole charade? What Breitbart did is despicable. Why are you guys giving him a complete pass?
July 22nd, 2010 at 6:07 pm
Teeeeeny troll. The NAACP and SHIRLEY SHERROD started this. Cheating a white farmer and getting the chuckles and nods of approval by the NAA COLORED PEOPLE started this. For the NAACP to condemn the TEA PARTY movement as RACIST is hilarious. Sorry Teeeeny, you aren’t very bright.
Read Sherrods words, she is all about race and she has made her living off the taxpayer. Screw her. Screw you.
July 22nd, 2010 at 7:03 pm
Breitbart doesn’t get a pass Timmay…apparently you didn’t notice the fact that the title of this blog post says Sherrod didn’t deserve this. Can’t you read?
How do you feel about your beloved President getting duped so easily, Timmay?
Obamma’s not ready for prime time…never was.
July 22nd, 2010 at 7:07 pm
Gooooooofy Gus, there are a few decent people on the right who are doing the right thing. Here’s one from FOX News:

July 22nd, 2010 at 7:38 pm
Here’s another conservative who’s not afraid to speak out against idiots like Breitbart.
http://www.frumforum.com/frum-breitbart-fans-racial-division
Melchick, the White House was wrong for forcing Sherrod to resign. They have apologized and have offered to reinstate her. They are doing their best to make amends. That’s what grown-ups do when they realize they have made a mistake.
July 22nd, 2010 at 7:59 pm
This White House is wrong about almost everything it does. They got bitched by a right-wing blogger. That should make us feel great about Barry Hussein going mano y mano with Putin or Ahmadinejad. I know I’ll sure sleep better tonight.
“tinman,” it’s funny you talk about ‘grown-ups’ as you defend this child-like administration you so revere and their illogical, knee-jerk, poorly-rationalized decisions.
This reminds me of their stupid decisions to close GM/Chrysler dealerships for no reason, costing tens of thousands of jobs, and their moronic decision to ban all deep-well offshore drilling in the Gulf because one well was out of control. It’s like taking all over-the-road trucks off the highways because one had a re-tread blowout. It’s silly. It’s juvenile. It’s The Obama Administration. Your heroes.
It’s like watching a group of 5-year-olds run the United States of America. At least the 5-year-olds get naptime. Hard for them to do any damage during naptime.
At least when these Marxist radicals wake up from naptime and put their little mats away, they’ve got some cool parties to go to. Or, at least, a good round of golf to play. Wish that would be enough to distract them. But then there’s that whole “fundamental transformation” thing. Thanks for that, you morons who voted for Obama.
July 22nd, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Fox news got bitched too. But it’s nice to know they have at least one journalist who has the integrity to confront that reality distorting creep Breitbart. Kudos to Shep!
July 22nd, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Who’s giving Breitbart a pass? did you read the original post on this issue after I pulled the video?
July 22nd, 2010 at 9:34 pm
“tinman,” is that really all you’ve got in the tank?
Fox News didn’t report on the story until after Sherrod was fired… by your Obama administration. “Pull over and quit…” Sound familiar?
I see why the other commenters here consider you irrelevant. Still learning the ropes, as they say. Thanks for the amusement.
July 22nd, 2010 at 9:50 pm
Didn’t see the original post.
Kudos to Patrick!
Schaller, it appears you’re running on empty. Here’s the timeline … for your amusement:
Monday
11:18 a.m.*: Breitbart posts Sherrod video, calls her “racist,” claims “Context is everything.”
Fox News amplifies Breitbart’s deceptively edited video
12:13 p.m.: Hoft runs with Breitbart video.
12:55 p.m.: HotAir’s Morrissey: “Breitbart hits NAACP with promised video of racism.”
1:40 p.m. (approximately): Fox Nation accuses Sherrod of “discrimination caught on tape” before she resigned.
1:49 p.m.: Ace of Spades picks up Sherrod story, calls it an example of “your government, working for you.”
3:31 p.m.: Elizabeth Scalia of the blog The Anchoress raises questions about the editing of Breitbart’s video.
4:01 p.m. Ace of Spades reports that CBS’ NYC affiliate picked up Sherrod story, declares, “Breitbart gets results.”
4:28 p.m. (approximately): Sherrod story hits Drudge.
4:50 p.m.: Breitbart tweets to Media Matters: “Tomorrow’s gonna be a long day.”
7:51 p.m.*: Big Government links to a FoxNews.com article reporting that Sherrod had resigned and USDA repudiated her remarks.
8:21 p.m.: Allahpundit questions the video’s editing, but says he will “assume Breitbart’s edit is fair to the spirit of her remarks.”
8:50 p.m.: O’Reilly airs Breitbart’s Sherrod video
9:04 p.m.: “Fox News Alert”: Hannity reports that Sherrod has resigned and discusses the incident with Gingrich.
July 22nd, 2010 at 10:02 pm
“tinman,” nice Huffington Post talking points. You should at least credit your sources, don’t you think?
I’ve heard you’ve had this problem around here before. Plagiarist.
So, who’s “running on empty,” exactly? Tim, you’re a rube.
July 22nd, 2010 at 10:18 pm
Schaller, in my haste to prove your assertion wrong, I failed to provide a link for the timeline.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alvin-mcewan/timeline-of-sherrod-debac_b_656277.html
“The Agriculture Department announced Monday, [shortly after FoxNews.com published] its initial report on the video, that Sherrod had resigned.”
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/19/clip-shows-usda-official-admiting-withheld-help-white-farmer/
You should at least own up to the fact that you lied, don’t you think?
That’s what a grown-up would do.
July 22nd, 2010 at 11:05 pm
You remind me of a previous commenter here, who went by the name of “jmark.” They plagiarized made-up and mischaracterized left-wing talking points, also. You smell very much the same.
July 23rd, 2010 at 9:04 am
“Fox News didn’t report on the story until after Sherrod was fired… by your Obama administration.”
Liar
If a lie is repeated often enough all the dumb jackasses in the world not only get to believe it, they even swear by it.
Plagiarist
July 23rd, 2010 at 2:49 pm
Aside from Huffy (by way of SorosMediaMutters), speaking of liars and jackasses, very nice try, tinhead.
11:18 a.m.*: Breitbart posts Sherrod video, calls her “racist,” claims “Context is everything.”
Breibart posted the video at 8:18 a.m. This easy-to-catch fraud of Huffy/SorosMediaMutters is an attempt to compress the timeline to fit their accusations.
Fox News amplifies Breitbart’s deceptively edited video
Notice anything? Anything missing in that assertion? Why is there no time stamp?
Why would that be?
Well, I’ll tell you… the lack of a time stamp is because the method SorosMediaMutters
used to time stamp their cite of FoxNation doesn’t work for the FoxNews story cited by SorosMediaMedia. In fact, using SorosMediaMutters’ method, the FoxNation link to Briebart appears more than 3.5 hours BEFORE the FoxNews story.
MediaMutters’ “1:40 p.m. (approximately)” time stamp of the FoxNation post was determined by using the time stamp of the first comment to the post (1:41). Using that same method, the Fox News story must then be said to have been posted at 5:22 PM, or more than 3.5 hours AFTER the simple FoxNation’s link to Breibart appeared, and AFTER Sherrod had already resigned.
Here’s your real 7/19/10 timeline:
8:15: Breibart posts Sharrod video
1:40: 5.5 hours later FoxNation links to Breibart
5:22: 9 hours after the video first became available and after Obama forced her to pull over and resign via her Blackberry, FoxNews.com posts first story on Sherrod
Such that, JRS’ “Fox News didn’t report on the story until after Sherrod was fired.” is completely true.
Which makes you, tinhead, the liar and jackass here.
July 23rd, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Well, you better tell the folks over at FOX NEWS to correct their story then.
“The Agriculture Department announced Monday, shortly after FoxNews.com published its initial report on the video, that Sherrod had resigned.”
July 23rd, 2010 at 6:48 pm
There is nothing to correct.
What part of “announced” don’t you understand?
Or are you that daft to think that the legal work behind “requesting the resignation” (a.k.a. firing) of a mid-high level fed g’vment director is a thing of a few minutes?
Yes. Of course. You MUST be that daft!
By Sherrod’s own words AG-Dept deputy undersecretary Cheryl Cook called her three times n her car over a 2.75 hour time period to get her resignation, the last time telling her, “…they want you to pull over to the side of the road and do it because you’re going to be on Glenn Beck tonight.” (my emphasis)
But the FoxNews.com story wasn’t posted until 5:22… after the Beck show was already almost half over.
Meaning, Obama had demanded Sherrod tender her resignation long before the FoxNews.com story appeared.
July 23rd, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Timmay…I will augment MjM’s thorough debunking of your lazy bit of copypasta by just saying, read your last quote…it says the USDA announcement came after the Fox News story…not the resignation.
As my neighbor used to say to his son, “boy…youse a dummy.”
July 23rd, 2010 at 10:33 pm
MJM, I’ll be the first to admit I’m not familiar with the “legal work behind “requesting the resignation””. But I’m not adverse to learning something new. Please, tell me all about the legal work that goes into making a request for a resignation. No doubt there’s tons of paper work involved. Is there a specific federal form that needs to be filled out? Is there a ‘Presidential Request To Resign Immediately’ form? Please help me understand so that I can be really, really smart like you and Melchick.
July 23rd, 2010 at 10:45 pm
Teeeeeny-TROLL, You are not familiar with the concept of HONESTY. LIBS generally are not.
The dodge and deflect is so pathetic it’s laughable.
If you weren’t such an entertaining weasel and loser, you’d be nothing at all.
July 23rd, 2010 at 11:05 pm
Mjm. Both you and Roland have taken Teeeeny-troll apart.
Libs never accept facts and truth.
July 24th, 2010 at 12:01 am
MjM, Breitbart posted at 8 AM PDT; the timelines have been adjusted to report all times in EDT. Hence the three-hour difference.
July 24th, 2010 at 11:59 am
Mr.Bullock:
I’m so glad you returned.
Please share your thoughts with us on the racist member of your blog site who thinks a certain black man isn’t really black enough.
Do you agree with him? Disagree? Do you think his comments were appropriate?
July 24th, 2010 at 2:33 pm
Jay Bullock, patriotic* American*.
July 25th, 2010 at 7:17 am
Now that the timeline has been thoroughly debunked, I wonder when the folks at FOX will get around to reporting about it? I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. I can see the headline now … ALONG WITH HIS AUGMENTING AIDE, LITTLE KNOWN BLOGGER THOROUGHLY DISCREDITS MEDIAMATTERS.ORG. FOX NEWS VILIFIED. GEORGE SOROS SHAMED!
July 25th, 2010 at 3:24 pm
Breitbart posted at 8 AM PDT; …
And just how did you/Huffy/SorosMediaMutters determine that? The time stamp on the page source does not include a time zone designation. Was it a guess? Or simply assumed? (For grins, try posting a comment on BigGovernment and check the time stamp applied to your comment.)
Well, ok, let us also assume it is true and that my assertion about Breibart’s posting time is incorrect….
1) How does the difference between 5.5 hours and 2.5 hours – time between Breibart and FoxNation – unequivocally support collusion between Breibart and FoxNews?
2) How does it address the lie by SorosMediaMutters/Huffy that “Fox News amplifies Breitbart’s deceptively edited video”, a blanket statement made with absolutely no reference or evidence?
3) How does it change the fact that FoxNews did not report on the story until after Sherrod quit and long after Obama began demanding she quit?
What is going on here is simple: the lefties are forced once again into trying to deflect the nation’s eyes from the utter stupidity that is their false god.
Word to the wise: it ain’t working.
@tinhead: Perhaps I’ll explain it to you after you graduate grade school…. um, if you do, that is.
July 25th, 2010 at 5:41 pm
Tinear just confirmed once again that he is a liar through and through. Bullock lies just as much.
July 25th, 2010 at 7:39 pm
And just how did you/Huffy/SorosMediaMutters determine that?
The fact that Breitbart’s operations are in CA? That’s the first clue. The second in that MMFA annotated their timeline to indicate that they were correcting for the time difference.
You were using the “discrepancy” as evidence of a liberal conspiracy. I was merely pointing out that that evidence is imaginary.
July 25th, 2010 at 7:49 pm
Hi, Jay. Since you stopped by, how’s “Bert” enjoying his Warholian “15 (Milwaukee blogosphere) Minutes?” Was it everything he hoped it would be?
And did Keith Schmitz pay back that $35K to the the Village of Shorewood yet? Since, like Bert, he’s one of your contributors, I figure you might have some connections that aren’t available to the rest of us. You should just ask him. The J/S hasn’t done any follow-up reporting since March, 2010.
“Village officials” are rather mum on the topic. Like date-rape victims, who don’t want to cause a stir.
Could you and Mr. Schmitz shed any light on the matter?
Please advise.
July 26th, 2010 at 6:29 am
Crumbum will disappear on the Schmitz scandal, just like he does on any issue where Democrats get caught breaking the law, abusing the public trust, or just being their evil, dishonest selves.
July 26th, 2010 at 8:38 am
Just checked in at foxnews.com to see if the thorough debunking of the mediamatters timeline has been reported on. It has not.
I predict that within the next 48 hours Fox will break the story. It will most likely be the straw that breaks the back of the Huffy/SorosMediaMutters coalition.

Mr. Bullock:
You didn’t answer my simple question about the racist member of your blog community.
One could get the impression that you support this racist, and his racist rant against a black man based on the color of his skin.
Another liberal hypocrite.
I’m just a little bit surprised that you are a hypocrite, but I am really surprised that you support this type of racism from your comrade.

Game. Set. Match.
Just thought I’d finish this off…
Take these three three Sherrod statements
“Cheryl, I’ve got a three and a half hour ride to get into Athens.”
“She called me again and I said, “I’m at least 45 minutes to an hour from Athens.”
“She said, ‘Well, Shirley, they want you to pull over to the side of the road and do it because you’re going to be on Glenn Beck tonight.’”
… the decision to fire her would have been made some time around 2:30 p.m. EST., given Beck at 5:00pm minus 2.5 hours of Sherrod’s drive time between the first and last call.
And that’s (a big) assuming the “Pull Over” call came right at 5:00m.
Now mix in at minimum an hour of White House/USDA beaureacratic lawyerly hop-scotch and back-n-forth bitchin’, you are lookng at 1:30 p.m., which puts the decision to fire her even before FoxNation’s 1:43 p.m. link to Breibart.
