Liberal hero Bob Woodward is tossing a huge monkey wrench into the Scooter Libby indictment. He has testified that he knew about Valerie Plame about a month before her identity was publicly exposed. He has testified that neither Scooter Libby nor Carl Rove was the source. Fitzgerald’s case is crumbling around him.

UPDATE
Lots of info at Just One Minute .

We are also lucky enough to have ScrappleFace also on the case…

  1. Rod Says:

We all know that everything coming out of Washington is the ultimate truth- noone would lie and attempt to mislead Fitzgerald. Hey- do you think it matters that Karl Rove was fired (TWICE) by senior Bush for leaking information to Novak? Probably- not.

  2. A Disheartened Republican Says:

I am so absolutely burned out on politics and so burned out on the Bush Administration that I couldn’t care less if they indicted, convicted and locked up the whole lot of them. The White House has absolutely betrayed every rank and file conservative on every major issue. And I don’t credit them for the Alito nomination either. Not when real conservatives had to apply the pressure that they did for it to happen. Never forget that he really wanted Miers. All this group does is spend, spend, spend, create new bureaucracies, leave the borders wide open, cave to the liberals at every chance, and oh… yap all about how conservative they are. I’m sick of it. I could never support a democrat, but I’m going to have to think long and hard before I contribute one more red cent or a second of my time to the GOP. The modern Republican Party has lost touch with what it means to be Republicans. All they are is a bunch of gutless wonders posing as conservatives in order to make their sorry butts electable. And that includes the very same president I was duped into voting for. And what of this war in Iraq? Can we all just admit it was a mistake and find a way to get out of there? I don’t think Bush lied, but I don’t think he had the best intel either. We now know there were no WMD’s. We screwed up. It happens. But this group refuses to learn from its past and try to do better. All they want to do is perpetuate the same BS we’ve been getting for what has turned into years now. The democrats are just as bad – and maybe even worse. They can’t even admit that they were on board with Bush going back to 2002, and against Iraq going back to Clinton. If Clinton had started this war back in 1998, and it had gone exactly the same way, what would the Republican reaction have been to that?! Don’t answer yet. Just ponder it.

I have had it. I think it’s all a bunch of cr*p, and I for the first time in my life, feel like I have no political party. I am very afraid for 2006 and 2008. At this point, unless a miracle occurs, we are going to either be stuck with the same pack of RINOs or be overtaken by the Howard Dean/Hillary Clinton left. And to think that this second term started with so much promise and possibility. Where have all the elected real conservatives gone? **Sigh.**
