Go get’em Mark!

JS Online:Green plans court action

Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Green indicated Saturday that he will go to court to hold on to $467,844 in disputed political action committee money, though the battle ahead is as much political as it is legal.

In his first comments since the State Elections Board on Wednesday ordered him to give up the money, Green accused Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle of undue influence on the board.

“It shows a campaign that is desperate,” Green said while campaigning in Milwaukee. “Jim Doyle has introduced corruption into the Elections Board.”

Xoff and the rest can start preparing their excuses for why the court slapped down this partisan elections board, because it’s going to happen.

I lament this decision, the courts are a tool of leftists and criminals. The leftists have hijacked the courts. Read Mark Levins excellent book, Men In Black, to see the rampant abuse of the courts and tort system in America. I see this as diving to there level.
Don’t let the courts decide this just let the people decide it. We are more educated then you think. I don’t need a judge to tell me whats right and wrong

Patrick… I’m surprised at you thinking that the court would “do the right thing” after what we went through last summer with the Chief Justice. I wouldn’t bet on this case in a million years, although sometimes you have to get into a fight just to make a point. Go get ‘em Mark.

The whole problem lies with Green being a naive idiot.
The national GOP has massive resources to assure that funding is legal and accountable in every single race. Green did not use that help offered to him. Stupid move Number One.
The state limits, as applied to Barrett, allowed it as his Congressional Seat was eliminated. He could have pocketed every cent in the account. Any Congressional seat that is eliminated allows the official to keep the money, personally. Barrett just gave it all to his own campaign. Claiming this was a precendent will only embarass Green as the ignorant lawyer he is. Stupid move Number Two.
The Ethics Board was to be reformed, and supported by bothe Doyle & Greem but was blocked in committee by the guy who wants Green’s job. John Gard. Stupid move Number Three.

Green screwed up, his staff screwed up, the GOP screwed up on this one. It’s not the first time, and it won;t be the last. Green has decided to play frivilous lawsuit with this now and that will backfire. Green will be seen as trying to keep illegal money. After his ties to Tom DeLay and his # 1 aid, Mark Graul getting and asking for freebies from Jack Abramoff, it would be wiser to just pay it back and move on.
Green wants to go to court. Stupid move Number Four.

Green is not showing voters he behaves ethically, but rather greedily in this, and corrupt is not fairing well.

Poor Joe, do you actually believe that? When even the Wisconsin State Journal and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel talk about what a bad decision this was on the part of the State Elections Board, Green even went to this board BEFORE they moved the money and they cleared it. This shows you just how outrageous your stance is. What Green did, was clearly legal at the time he did it, but we know things like that matter to some of you.

To Tony & Steve, no, I generally don’t have much confidence in the court, but I have a feeling that this case is a slam dunk, it is such a clear cut case of abusive of power that Green would win. It also points out the unfair practices of this administration, an administration that has never seen an approval rating over 50%.
