My next book purchase hasn’t been released yet, it is out on Aug. 23, it is Charlie Sykes’ 6th book, 50 Rules Kids Won’t Learn In School.

Michelle Malkin has had the chance to read it pre-release, and she gives it a great review.

So head to Amazon and order your copy, or you will have to wait in Harry Potter type lines as the Cheddarsphere’s bloggers vie for our own copy.

Sounds like an entertaining read. Anyone catch the story on his show this morning regarding the pilot program in Tuscon, Arizona that will designate a group of “on the fence” students (meaning close to or at risk of dropping out) and paying them $25/week to attend school?

  2. Peter Says:

Unlike the Harry Potter philes, who dressed like their favorite characters from the books, I cannot imagine a collection of Cheddarsphere people dressing like Charlie Sykes.

I wonder when the Wierd Warriors next book will come out?

  4. NWA Says:

Yea I’m going to be first in line for that one. Matter of fact I will buy every co available and throw them into the MMSD deep tunnel.

  5. Patrick Says:

There was a time when others destroyed books they disagreed with…

But as long as you are paying for the books and Charlie gets his cut, I don’t think he will mind.

Does “co” stand for “company”? “Copy”? “Coma”?
Must be some sort of military acronym…

  7. Dennis Says:

    Ah Mickey……

The Weird Warriors can acutally write? :-)

  8. Peter Says:

NWA can’t read anything unless it’s written in ebonics … same with the rest of Junior McGee’s trolls.

    “B, E, G, A, C, F, D …. Hukt On Ebonix werked fer mee.”

  9. NWA Says:

i wonder whut numba wun is gone be. don’t marry a shawtty who gone have a bedda job den you.

I bet Papa McGee is awesome with the Crayolas.

  11. Bruce Says:

Actually, truth be told, NWA is a very bright guy. Writes in a variety of differing syntax, with a bunch of different monikers; multiple identities. Almost as though it’s instinctive.

My favorite late night reruns are “All in the Family”. How ’bout you, NWA?

  12. mickey Says:

I’m sure he’s a Sanford and Son or The Jefferson’s man.

  13. Peter Says:

Multiple identities? Reminds me of the Rodney Dangerfield jokes … “I told my psychiatrist I had split personalities, he charged me double … then I told him I had suicidal tendencies, he told me I had to pay in advance.”

Peter, I read your first comment and had this awful image of 100s of kids with Charlie Sykes masks on walking through the fairgrounds spouting nonsense. Thanks a lot!

Roland … sounds like a great post … hint hint. I must admit, I have difficulty imagining anyone being paid to read.

NWA (translation): I am ignorant and will go to great lengths to remain so.
