On the heels of a recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece which talked up Lou Dobbs for president, CNN last night reported that Dobbs is currently attending “listening sessions” in Boston related to a potential presidential run as an independent candidate; also reporting that in an AOL Online poll, of those responding, Dobbs garnered 56% of the vote.
We’ll see if “The War on the Middle Class” is a message that has legs in the coming months, I guess. With Ron Paul out-polling Fred Thompson two-to-one in New Hampshire (and Romney pulling away from the pack), I wonder if folks are truly ready for another “unconventional” independent candidate.

Are there any Statesmen or Politicians or Viable Candidates on the Right these days or is it just wannabes, never wases and pipe dreams?
