Mark Block reminds us that there are only a few days left to get your cell phone registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. When cell numbers are released to telemarketers in a few days, they will be able to call your cell phone, calls that you will be charged for.
Getting on the Do Not Call list is very easy, just call 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register, it is all automated and takes about a minute, but it will save you from all of those annoying telemarketing calls.
Update: Did we get duped?
Snopes, via Nick says so. Damned urban legends!

You can also go to https://donotcall.gov to do it over the internet.
Imagine that…I am savvy enough to register online, but still not smart enough to figure out ho to actually insert the link. :0

Actually, there is no need to do that at all… because cell phones being released to telemarketers is a myth… check out snopes for details.
