Both CNBC and The Chicago Trib cite sources, confirming first-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as the VP candidate on the Republican ticket.

If true, I may vote for McCain. She is the best canidate McCain could have nominated. How soon will the liberal slime machine take before make up, fabricate or try and destroy this lady?

I was just watching CNBC and the Money Honey, Maria Bartiromo, was talking about Palin and an interview she (Maria) conducted with Palin last week. Maria reports that Palin has extensive knowledge of energy resources and is an “anti-establishment” type Governor in that she ran counter to the old boy network in place in Alaska government. I didn’t catch the date/time the interview will be aired, but I think it will be later today.

Props to McCain. An absolutely brilliant choice. He is going to swallow up a lot of the Clinton crowd. The “same old GOP” line is going to lose some of its traction.

Yesterday I ordered a bunch of Hillary for Prez buttons on ebay and planned to wear them as a pissed off at the Dems Hillary supporter who was now voting for McCain. Now I’m excited, seems I may have been ahead of the curve.
What a brillant choice by McCain and what a way to knock the air out of BO. Not a “TKO” yet but close, very close. Where’s the bounce BO??? LOL

I’m excited for the first time in months.
I’m sure she’s going to take a lot of grief over her youngest son from the feminists for “cruelly” bringing him into the world and then from the media for “abandoning him” to work (oh, look, it’s already started), but the way she talks about him I believe she took his needs into consideration before accepting.
(And superficially, a conservative woman second in line to the presidency is a huge blow to the egos of Pelosi and Clinton. How can you not like that? *grin*)
