A politicians first choices are who they choose to surround themselves with, even before they are elected. We have seen already the quality of people Barack Obama has surrounded himself with.
For 20 years, Barack Obama and his family have gone to a church run by a pastor that is an overt racist and who hates America, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s “God Damn America” and claims that the CIA created AIDS to kill African-Americans, his friendship with Father Michael Pfleger to his embracing of the anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan, gives a look into the spiritual life of Barack Obama and his family.
When it comes to politics, one of the first people he chose to help him, was a slumlord named Tony Rezko. Rezko not only helped Obama raise money for politics, he also helped Obama purchase a house that he could not afford on his own. And now it looks like Rezko paid $90,000 for the rehab of Illinois Gov. Blagojevich’s home. Sounds like Rezko likely laundered payments for the work through sham billings at a large housing development he was building. Tony Rezko is already serving time after being convicted of 16 federal corruption charges.
Other political allies and friends include of course, a terrorist that planted bombs in the US Capitol, Pentagon and police stations, a man that said in an interview that coincidentally ran on the morning of the 9/11 attacks, that his only regret was that he didn’t commit more terrorist acts against America. I speak of course, of Obama’s friend, William Ayers, founder of The Weather Underground.
Ayers and Obama were friends that worked together for several years running the education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a group that funneled more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.
And now, there is yet another FBI investigation, this time of Barack Obama’s “poker-playing buddy,” former state senator, now Will County executive Larry Walsh.
These are the sorts of people he chooses to be his friends, just imagine the sorts of people he would surround himself with to help him lead the free world. We need someone of good judgment in the White House, not a friend of terrorists, convicted felons and racist America haters. We have no evidence at all that he would suddenly change the sorts of people he would associate himself with, so we see what sort of individual he would have on his cabinet and in close advisory positions. And as a man that has voted against protecting children that have the audacity to survive a late term abortion, we would see what sort of judicial nominees he will be appointing.

Patrick: Everything you post is great stuff, and under other circumstances it would be, well, decisive or at least something necessary to disregard if you were considering voting Democratic. But it’s all been vetted already, and entirely discounted amoung the liberal media, and the voting liberals, with the exception of a few Clintonistas, maybe. The botton line is that no one cares, at least no one cares enough. As I’ve been posting for the last couple of weeks, unless McCain gets up off the canvas under his own power (oops, I just remembered Michigan)…It’s just the turning of a red tide, I guess.

“Although Barack Obama has played down his ties to a former 1960s Chicago radical, the men have never been close, The New York Times reported Saturday.”
http://www.timesoftheinternet.com/8701.html
But by all means, don’t let the truth get in the way of a good smear. When you can’t run on issues, you do things like this. Oh well, at least you didn’t call Barack Obama “Barry”
October 4th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Oh brother….
Obama has already distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright. He spoke out against everything he’s done or said publicly. Get over it.
How bout Rod Parsley, highly touted by McCain, calling for Christians to destroy Islam; claiming it to be a false religion? Parsley compared the folks at Planned Parent hood to Nazis. He’s just as extreme as Wright.
McCain has surrounded himself with Big Oil lobbyists; receiving more than one million dollars in donations. His economic advisor had to leave the campaign because of his career as a lobbyist. In turn, he plans to give almost 4 BILLION dollars in tax breaks to big oil. This after saying in November of 07, “I will oppose any tax breaks or good deals for the gas and oil industry also.”
McCain says he will target Wall Street greed, while he has 80+ Wall Street Lobbyists working for his campaign.
What’s that saying, “People in glass houses….yada, yada, yada.”
October 4th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Like meepos said, people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. After all, we could certainly talk about John McCain’s father in law, who’s a convicted felon, or McCain’s association with John Hagee, the well-known rabidly anti-Catholic paster.

Obama has already distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright. He spoke out against everything he’s done or said publicly.
BO’s excuse has been to say that in all the times he was at the church, for services or otherwise, he neeevvvveeerrrr….eeeevvvvvveeerrrr heard the good Pastor say anything like what was said in those viral videos. No one really buys that…not even the lying libs who say they do. It’s more blind faith in The One.
Parsley was not/is not McCain’s pastor. “Highly touted” is your highly biased opinion. He complimented him as a way to win some votes…politicians tend to do that you know. It’s no where near the same as having the man as your mentor/spiritual leader. But thanks for trolling in meeps.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Poor poor poor meepos. It must be REALLY hard to go through life so stupid.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
I love the “but your guy does it too!” defense.
Yeah, that’s right, ignore the legitimate concerns, just deflect to someone else. Did McCain’s father in law act as an advisor to him? For that matter, did he assist in setting bombs designed to kill civilians at government buildings?
Saying “but your guy does it too” does nothing. I’d be much more impressed if someone on the Left would say “You’re right, Ayers and Rezko helped Obama get started in Chicago politics. But he’s moved away from them since then, and here’s how….”
I’m pretty certain no one is saying those words because they can’t.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Actually, it is not Obama that’s “palling around” with terrorists. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeeQo8xdneA
October 4th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
I hate to state the obvious here, but McCain’s father-in-law is… ummmm… dead.
How exactly does that factor in here?
October 4th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Hrm, I thought sensitive, tolerant liberals saw no shame in being a “convicted felon.” At least, they don’t when they’re paid to “register voters” or raping women while on a weekend furlough or Bill Clinton’s brother…
October 4th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
It’s time for a fear and smear campaign when:
- a campaign is losing and desperate
- they have nothing positive to talk about
- momentum is not on their side
- facts don’t matter
- they bury their dignity to take the low road
- a conservative state like Indiana is in play
- the VP candidate is a joke
- people are ready for Obama to be President
The American public will not reward a fear and smear campaign at this point. Most independent voters have been rejecting negative attacks in this election cycle. Hillary launched so many negative attacks against Obama that most attacks are old news that will fall flat.
It really is sad to see a respectable candidate like McCain (and his supporters) take on the fear and smear campaign style he railed against in 2000.
The straight talk express has been directed onto the wrong set of tracks.
October 5th, 2008 at 4:23 am
For the liberal haters here. These stories have been around for a long time, but the MSM chooses not to report them because, for the most part, they are in bed with Obama.
Hey, peace, it is not a smear if it is true. Just read the facts. It may be hard for you to read because of your IQ, but give it a shot. It may be worth your while.
As for meepos, maybe a little reading may do you some good as well. I can refer you to some good reading programs if you would like.

Someone I work with spent time in jail.
Does that mean I should never talk to him again?
Does that mean I support what he did to land himself in jail?
Should I quit my job to avoid working with an ex-con?
Should I run away if he offers to get me a cup of coffee?
Sounds rediculous doesn’t it?
October 5th, 2008 at 8:31 am
McCain’s associations with the pastors was minimal, like receiving an endorsement. Obama has been endorsed by Hamas and basically all foreigners who want a weaker America. Obama associations could not stand up to any impartial “vetting”, which is why his LIES about them have been accepted by the media.
Willian Ayers was not just “someone from the neighborhood”. Obama ran the Chicago Annenberg Challenge with him, where education grant funding was used to indoctrinate poor kids to a VICTIMHOOD mentality (thus creating future radicals/community organizers).
The hatemonger Rev Wright’s views were no secret during their 20 plus year mentorship.
And Obama’s ACORN Work actually amounted to blackmailing lenders into making hopeless pc subprime loans (or face bogus discrimination claims).
October 5th, 2008 at 8:35 am
It’s not fear and smear when it’s true.
October 5th, 2008 at 8:50 am
It’s not fear and smear when it’s true.
Exactly, when McCalin tells the truth about “O” and the Obamians call it “fear and smear”, what does that say about The One’s past?
October 5th, 2008 at 8:55 am
It says a lot about the O-bots, too.
October 5th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Amen, Meepos.
I could make up all sorts of things and write them down in a blog. Patrick et al, I’ve read almost all of the links you’ve posted. I’ve done research in order to educate myself instead of resorting to playground tactics of calling names. This stuff isn’t true. It’s blather; wreckless smear broadcast from a sinking ship.
I think it’s hilarious when people talk about the Mainstream Media being super liberal. MSNBC is liberal, CNN is not. Fox News is conservative. The Ney York Times is liberal. For as much talk as I hear about liberal victims expecting government hadnouts, there’s a lot of victim-like whining about how the poor conservatives are not getting their views reported. You are getting your views reported. Stop crying.
By The Way, John McCain is in league with Hitler’s last remaining relatives currently living in Long Island. John McCain is going to attempt to setup an Oil-ocracy if he gets into office, but Sarah Palin will cut him off because she wants to off him and become the last president of the United States. I mean, we already know that she’s in leage with Putin to hand over our nation to Russia.
That last paragraph is satire and untrue, but by the logic of this blog, if I can get enough saber rattlers to join my call to action against the things I’ve outlined above, it somehow makes them true. Ridiculous.
October 5th, 2008 at 9:23 am
If you think everything we write here is untrue and made up by us uneducated name callers and the not-liberal media, why do you waste your time here? That’s what I find ridiculous.
Politics ain’t beanbag.

I’ve been telling you for months. Nothing matters to libtard except The Party and it’s Ideology.
None of these disgusting libs that are treated nicely here is bothered in the least that Obama is a racist/Marxist/friend of terrorists.
They brush it away as if it were lint.
Is it sinking in yet Conservatives and Conservatives in name only?
The LEFT has no use for you, unless using you is their use. Keep up the good work playing nice to them.
October 5th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
It’s time for a fear and smear campaign when:
There’s nothing wrong with fear when it keeps a person from putting their hand into afire, or stops a person from driving off a cliff.
- they have nothing positive to talk about
When does the left ever talk about anything positive? They delude themselves into believing that defeatism and self loathing represents wisdom.
- momentum is not on their side
Now where were you when McCain was up in the polls?
- facts don’t matter
It’s not that facts don’t matter. It’s just that your side’s facts don’t matter, because they’re not really facts.
- they bury their dignity to take the low road
You mean like attacking McCain for not using a keyboard?
- the VP candidate is a joke
To the far wacko left, which is an indication that she’s an excellent candidate.
- people are ready for Obama to be President
Only for those who desire to vote themselves other people’s money.
October 5th, 2008 at 1:34 pm

It does sound ridiculous, but that’s only because those questions are generated from your political philosophy.
This isn’t a matter of a chance connection with a an inlaw, or a friend who’s been in jail. Everyone knows someon who’s been in jail.
This is a consistent pattern of choosing far wacko left radicals, terrorists, and corrupt individuals and organizations to associate with, time and time again.
October 5th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I love posting here because it pisses off conservatives, which brightens my day because the Packers lost. Yellow River Rat beat me to it but how about Charles Keating? He makes Resko look small time. I mean really if we play guilt by association we’re all guilty. I’m sure Glenn had dirty cops under his command but does that make him dirty? Conservatives are devoid of any humanity. They want to see their opponents stripped of all dignity by any means necessary.
October 5th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I’m sure those cops are voting for Obama.
October 5th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Conservatives are devoid of any humanity.
This is an absurdly uneducated statement, particularly coming from someone who supports the party that preys on minorities by keeping them forever uneducated and subjugated in corrupt and worthless government programs.
A person with such a deep level of ignorance that maks a comment like that should be forced to return their high school diploma, not that those certificates of indoctrination mean much of anything these days anyway.
The socialist pig Obama, has surrounded himself with radical terrorists, and been involved with currupt organizations, not once, not occasionally, but in a consistent ongoing basis.
The number and frequency of these associations indicates that these are not associations of chance, but rather associations of choice.
Saying if he’s guilty by association, then we’re all guilty is nothing more than a transparent whitewas, and not a rebuttal that has any merit.
October 5th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
I see the best way to bring the resident Libs out by the truckload is to bring up a sensitive topic that makes Obama look bad.
Sorry people, Obama’s up to his armpits in the stench that Ayers has around him. Ayers is an unrepentant killer that hates this Country and what it stands for and is still willing to destroy it.

I think we should put out all the facts about the Keating Five (of which McCain was the only Republican) out there, including that the panel decided to put and keep a Republican in the list of those accused. Including that McCain was exonerated.
I think we should then put out all the facts about Obama and Rezko and Ayers and Wright (and not the whitewashed version, but the actual truth). Include in that Wright marrying the Obamas and baptizing his daughters after he immersed himself in the church for over a decade. Include in that the great house deal Obama received from the money launderer Rezko. And, include that Ayers was the beneficiary of funds steered by Obama, and Ayers’ living room was the launching point of Obama’s career. Include what Ayers did (build and plant bombs loaded with nails at the Pentagon and other government offices), and that he lacks remorse for this — in fact says he wished they’d have done more.
Put all that out there, and let people decide whether it’s “guilt by association” or a dangerously radical person “palling around” with terrorists and criminals. Let’s talk about Obama’s drug use too.
But the point is, get it all out there for people to see. So they can decide, and not MSNBCCNNNYTNBCABCCBSREUTERSAP etc.
Can we see Obama’s full medical records too, please?

Once again… Keating…..is mentioned.
McCain, LIKE HIM OR NOT, was exonerated vis a vis Keating.
But QUICK!!! ANY LIBTARD!! Who is Keating and why is McCain being smeared vis a vis Keating?
Chirp chirp chirp.
Style over substance. Murtha and ABSCAM go UN-NOTICED.
Ayers being part and parcel of Obama’s rise to the level of imcompetence he has reached goes UN=NOTICED.
I’ll take Keating smears and the exoneration of McCain as honorable VS.
Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright, and Bill “boom boom” Ayers. ANY DAY.
The deck has been rigged.
Obama is a very close friend and business associate with a DOMESTIC TERRORIST. Obama is also up to his “white blood, he wishes could be purged” in bed with Tony Rezko. A.k.a. Money bags, convicted sweet sixteen times Tony.
The MSM and LIBTARDS pretend that Obama is clean.
He is filth.

If you make the argument that left wingers want to take money from people and give it to the poor, old, and sick, then you also have to recognize that the “conservative” Bush Administration has spent more money (mostly added to the national debt) than any other administration in history. Republicans held complete power for 6 years and spending went through the roof.
October 6th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Why do we post here?
Because people who read this blog should be able to read responses to the radical conservative views on this blog.
Being called a moonbat for posting my thoughts only helps my case with moderate Republicans and independents.
After years of Republican rule, our national debt is way up, our economy is way down. Our military is being weakened by a mission that was supposed to be over quickly and pay for itself. We spend more money on Iraq in three months than we have in Afganistan the entire time since being attacked by the terrorists who still train and recruit in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Bush says he is promoting American democracy, but our country is no longer respected around the world while democracy at home is being weakened by suspect elections, negative campaigns, monopoly media, etc…
Republicans have had their chance in power and they have failed in major ways. It is time for a change. It is time to vote for Barack Obama.

Everyone forgets about Khalid Al Mansour, who got the 25 year old Obama into Harvard Law and raised money to pay for it. When someone figures out that relationship, it will be a bigger story than Ayers.
