Consider this an Election Day Open Line, feel free to use it to discuss any election day items. If you see something irregular while voting, let us know too.
I will be updating via Twitter, you can see the feed below. You may have to refresh to get the updates. I will be with the Sam Adams Alliance for at least part of the day checking into voting problems, and will post those updates here. I will also blog or comment as I get the chance.

No problems out here in the Boondocks. Walked in, voted and walked out. My wife went in early at 7:00am and was in line for a bit but it wasn’t too bad.

according to Drudge Obama took 15 minutes to vote. I think he may have been confused because he was not able to vote present.
It looks like the Dems are pulling out all the stops to make sure it goes there way. R poll watchers in Philly have been kicked out. This looks ugly. Also Virgina did not send military members their absentee ballots in time for them to vote and get them back. It’s only 8:30 and I am already disgusted. I hope this thing does not drag out past today. It looks like the left is willing to buy and steal a landslide. The American people have spoken, but no one is able to hear them

About a half-hour wait at 7:15 at Glendale City Hall. The Obama voters yapping on their cell phones to their Obama-voting friends kept using the word “pre-registered.”
…there were only two contested races on my ballot, POTUS and House. WTF?
And I was amused to note that there were four different socialist parties running candidates for POTUS, if you count the Greens.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Took me about an hour to vote. (School at North Ave and 51st) Longer than usual. The ballot reader kicked out a number of ballots as unreadable. People had to get a new ballot and vote over. (I did see the poll watchers tear up the old ballots) The man working the poll said there was a problem with the ballots themselves, it wasn’t a voter issue.
Also saw a number of people that thought they should be registered have to go register again.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:46 am
Just to clarify…it didn’t actually take me an hour to vote…I waited in line for an hour. Only took me a minute or so to vote.

Yes, I know there is a double post on the blog. It is some funky thing because of the “sticky post” that will stay at the top. No, I don’t know why
Now get out there and vote!

Any signs of electioneering masquerading as inane performance art?
November 4th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
I am at the Sam Adams Alliance HQ, and the internet access is good, so updates will be good.
November 4th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
We have had a few reports of irregularities, but no major problems yet. We suspect that things will change latter today.

Attorney John Washburn is out tracking down reports at 2 north side locations.

Fox News Channel’s Jane Skinner (formerly worked at TV6 here) reported that election fraud is rampant in Milwaukee. She interviewed a book author on the subject and he gave examples and numbers of incidents taking place in Milwaukee in past elections. This news segment, including on-scene camera in Milwaukee, was prompted by the news that Flynn disbanded the election fraud section of the special investigations unit of the MPD. Why would a less pro-active police presence be avoided at ‘certain’ polling places where the history of voter fraud got national coverage today? I’m positive the ‘nuts’ from the ACORN tree fell heavily and flourished in the inner/central city causing the Democratic powers to buckle to liberal pressures to NOT have officers at polling places so as to not intimidate the electorate in those areas. Fox News also reported that Det. Mike Sandvick, of the special investigations unit, a 30-year veteran, suddenly retired in disgust over the tight leash put on him during this election. TV4′s noon news showed Sandvick & a DA investigator at a polling location on N. Holton St., investigating 7 cases of election fraud. According to Scott Steele (TMJ4 weatherman!) who reported from that polling site that there were proof-positive facts plus admissions from 3 of the suspects. A JSonline article gave Flynn’s flimsy reasons for not having cops in suspect polling locations. No doubt that Master Puppeteer Barrett worked Flynn’s strings to disallow more police presence at the shady poll locations. The article said that Sandvick and members of his unit authored and circulated the unsigned 67 page report of election fraud and recommendations from the last major election. Flynn said he wasn’t going to discipline Sandvick, but….for some reason, again according to the article, Sandvick was suddenly going to retire. I can imagine he was given the option by Flynn of retiring or face departmental charges. Det. Sandvick was the lead MPD detective in the recent and successful prosecution of McGee Jr. I worked with Mike Sandvick and he is a diligent and dedicated officer. Because he gave an on-camera interview to the weatherman during the 12:30 PM edition of the TV4 news, I suspect he will complete his tour of duty today and retire shortly. It is highly unusual for a non-supervisory officer to give on-camera interviews to the media without the Chief’s permission. Knowing Mike Sandvick, he has the ‘stones’ to give such an interview, defying the Puppeteer and the chief puppet. The local tv coverage by a clownish weatherman of this major local and national news story illustrates how unconcerned TMJ4 and JS are about this ‘breaking news’ story.

Fox news has video of The New Black Panthers intimidating voters and media with a night stick in Philadelphia.
November 4th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Pat, I’m not doubting that Det. Sandvick did his investigation on an off day…..that’s the way he is….impassioned dedication to voter honesty. But, he surely will be retiring soon as Flynn will not allow his detectives to use intelligence gathered ON DUTY to be used OFF DUTY, especially in front of media cameras!! Cops are on-duty 24 hours a day, with hours/days of rest between their tours of duty. I’m thinking Sandvick did retire suddenly and as a ‘promoted Citizen’ would be immune from Department discipline. Thanks for doing this Mike. I applaud your diligence and defiance of the ACORN nut droppings and the Master Puppeteer and his newest puppet.

Republic Party on the verge of historic new role as permanent opposition party.
November 4th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Some polling locations are already reporting ballot shortages. Deliveries on the way.
November 4th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Folks, I kept my mouth shut at the time, but Mike Sandvick is the Detective that Barrett wanted out after he filed his report last spring on voter fraud.
Mike is a friend of mine and is a man of character.
November 4th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Looks like Det. Sandvick violated an MPD Rule and smartly retired suddenly. Check the rule violation Flynn refers to in this WISN.COM article:

It certainly appears that Sandvick violated Department Rules, but he did so in a noble cause. Sandvick surely knew that he was going to have to give up his career to do the right thing, and I salute him for being principled enough to do it. That took courage which is rare and should be admired by every law abiding citizen.
I have been an ardent supporter of Chief Flynn, but I want this question asked of him and answered: This information obviously existed for awhile and was sufficient for the District Attorney’s Office to pursue it. When did you know about this information and why didn’t you do something with it before? If you didn’t know about it, then who in your Command Staff should have known and what are you going to do about that person not informing you?

Gus’s boyfriend Mike is a detectard.
November 4th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
Thanks Mike! Hey Mayor, not only do we have 1 name, but Det. Sandvick just gave you 7. I’m sure the mayor has something to do with this, but Chief Flynn, you are the chief. I must say, I’m very disappointed.
November 4th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
I hope you in Milwaukee sleep well knowing that LAWS are not being enforced, but DEPARTMENTAL rules are being enforced.
Mike Sandvick was treated like a rented mule after he gave Mayor Tommy “choo choo” Barrett a black eye last spring, by telling the truth about his investigation into voter fraud.
Mike is Cop, he is not a LIBTARD.
Glenn, do you know Mike? He is a great human being.

Mike and I have crossed paths several times. He’s a real #5 guy, not a phony like some of them. I’m proud of him.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Strange, late voting seems pretty light. I was at the Humane Society at 5:45 PM and there were only a few people in the voting room, they had privacy booths empty and only a few others registering to vote. I think we are seeing that the massive early voting and absentee voting had a huge effect.
I spent the day with the great folks with the Sam Adams Alliance, but I am on my way to Drinking Right now, to watch the election results.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Waltzed in at my local polling place in the south burbs about 5 pm and voted with zero waiting. I’m now waiting for the howling of the moonbats to begin, and Patrick to make the first report of celebratory gunfire.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
We all heard of the “Performance Art” being allowed at polling places, here is a short video of a puppet show they had at the Humane Society polling place.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
waiting for the howling of the moonbats to begin
OWWWW…. Owww OWWW OoooWWW!!!!!!!
It is not “Yes we can”
It is “yes we did”
November 4th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Well, if indeed we do elect a socialist President, House & Senate, there is a silver lining.
We will be living under the uber-moonbat utopia.
In four years, there will be no excuses.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Flynn disbanded the election fraud section of the special investigations unit of the MPD.
Flynn is no longer a benefit to Milwaukee. One more reason to leave the city.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
No official confirmation that Det. Sandvick turned in his retirement papers that I know of. His wife, also a Detective, will have to watch her ass big time if/when he retires. Caller on Belling said that pro-Obama students in Vincent HS halls were catcalling folks waiting in line to vote. I think an officer on duty at that voting location, OR school officials would’ve put a quick stop to such harassment. I’m thinking that Flynn, now de-nutted by Puppeteer Barrett, will give serious consideration to a quick departure. Hopefully the Messiah will tap Barrett & Doyle for federal jobs and we can circle our wagons and fight the ACORN droppings until the next election(s). Someone opined that the Messiah spent more days campaigning than he did at his job as a US Senator. The inmates appear to have taken over the asylum. The US has been dumbed-down in the eyes of the free world. So sad……so very sad. I need a drink or two.

“It looks like the left is willing to buy and steal a landslide.”
And looks like they got away with it.
November 4th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Careful what you wish for – you just might get it. If Tommy Choo-Choo gets tapped for a federal position, who’s that leave runing Milwaukee? Clark? Hines? Not guaranteed to be an improvement. Same even goes for Diamond Jim Doyle…..
November 4th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
The Election Day Open Line post is no longer a “sticky” post, so it will now move down as a normal post.
November 5th, 2008 at 3:47 am
The City of Milwaukee has just become a ghost town. The city voters approved the binding referendum for mandatory sick time. In addition, the county voters approved the 1% sales tax increase. Good bye Milwaukee, it was nice to know you.

Were the shots fired calls for service just another impromtu celebration?
Why won’t the paper report all the gun fire that was involved in “Celebrating”?

God Bless Mike Sandvick!
The Chief violated a bigger rule in this whole ordeal, UNTRUTHFULNESS.

Now that the election is over and Obama will be President some things will be changing:
>As a small business owner I will let go some of my workers and higher my family members
>The usual Christmas bonus will now be cut in half
>The three weeks vacations to my employees will now be 1 week vacation with 2 weeks sick days
>All my purchases will be made in Waukesha or Ozaukee County
>Once they lift the cap on Social Security I will not be paying for that out of my pocket so other changes will be coming.
Welcome to Obamanation.

The rebuilding of the Republican Party can and should now begin. The talk for ’12 already is about Paul Ryan. And maybe Gov. Jindal. But please retire talk about Palin, the most uninspiring and retrograde national figure possible. She is the past. The future must be more globally insightful for there to be any hope that the Republican Party will survive…
November 5th, 2008 at 9:53 am
Palin isn’t the past. I am sure she has a very bright future in reality television. I can’t wait to see her on “Dancing with the stars”.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:09 am
No anon, she will be back in a big way! She was the reason that the floundering McCain campaign kept getting pushed across the finish line.
If there is anything to take from this election that I see, is that it’s the beginning of the end for the RINO’s in the GOP. Their ideals that bipartisan cooperation and playing “fair” has led to nothing but failure.
For now, everyone will be all euphoric over the Obama win or the Dems gain, until they get the bill on tax day and continue to watch the economy slide if their tax increases take effect. Then many who were supposedly caught up in the “excitement” will sober up and realize they screwed up big time.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Dave, that’s not how things work. They will be taking your profits no matter who you hire, fire, or how to try to hide it. You are now working for the government. And even though you will not be getting the quality healthcare, you can feel good knowing that all the people higher up in the government will at least be taken care of. Now bow down…
November 5th, 2008 at 11:00 am
Did you know that State Law requires police officers at all voting places?
Unfortunately, former mayor Norquist stopped that when he was in office.
It just goes to show that liberals do what they want to do at any cost and never take responsibility for their actions just like those you want something for nothing.
November 5th, 2008 at 11:32 am
State law forbids police officers at polling locations. You are misreading or are misinformed. What do you think this is Zimbabwe?
November 5th, 2008 at 11:37 am
“No anon, she will be back in a big way! She was the reason that the floundering McCain campaign kept getting pushed across the finish line.”
More so now that in previous months, Palin is being credited as a detrement to the Republicans. Had she not been on the ticket, we may have seen a closer race last night. She was a sugar rush for the Conservatives; one that wore off quickly and left them feeling very sad. If she’s the “future” of the Republican party, I can look forward to years and years of Democratic prosperity.
November 5th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
John Smith, It’s true the government will always get their share. However, the people they claim to help will feel the wrath. It will be trickle down poverty.
Like any business owner they will pass along the tax increases, the over regulations to the customer and or employee’s.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
I think you are going to be very disappointed Meeps. If Conservatives are as “Bad” for the GOP as you and some pundits say, how did they manage to keep their seats in Congress? Why was it that the RINO’s are the ones that got voted out?
November 6th, 2008 at 9:18 am
Chief Flynn in my opinion is not a true crime fighter. If he was, he would also be against what appears to be the government sponsored crime of election fraud. Stealing a vote and stealing a car are both wrong and persons that do either of those things need to answer for their wrong doing.
November 6th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Sarah Palin was the best thing that could have happened to McCain’s campaign. She is good and conservative, that is why the left hates her so. That makes me believe she is right for the Right.
