Bill Clinton sported a Timex Ironman. George W. Bush wore a Timex Indiglo, which you’ll recall once “mysteriously disappeared” while Bush worked the crowd during a visit to Albania.
For the modest price of $325.00 (plus shipping, of course) you can share one small element of President Obama’s style. Online watch reseller Jorg Gray is capitalizing upon Mr. Obama’s iconic worldwide popularity by giving devotees an opportunity to wear his watch.
According to the retailer’s website, each Barack Obama Commemorative Edition JG6500 Chronograph carries an inscription on the rear case, chronicling the historic election of our 44th POTUS, as well as a limited edition serial number.
The movement of the JG6500 is Japanese, the watch body is stainless steel, and the case is water resistant to 100 meters, making it almost as rugged as Mr. Obama’s other timepiece, an early-90′s vintage TAG-Heuer 1500 Series Two-Tone Diver. Mr. Obama was reportedly so fond of his TAG, he wore it nearly every day for almost 15 years.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure, President Obama’s version of the JG6500 is ever so slightly different than the one being sold by Jorg Gray; the one Mr. Obama wears bears the emblem of the United States Secret Service, and was reportedly presented to him as a gift by his security detail in 2007, while campaigning in Iowa on his 46th birthday.

I keep wondering where people get the money for all this commemorative stuff when they claim they can’t afford their mortgage, gasoline, birth control, after-school snacks…

Actually what they are taught at home is to spend and borrow as much as possible, then file for chapter 11. The other taxpayers then flip for their health-care, first time mortgage, telephone, heat, childcare,…
Whoever spends their money first wins, we can just vote to print more money.
The plan is flawed, they will have to print even more money next year and the next year and the next…
All because of these people, that vote to spend other peoples money so they can have a replica Obama watch?
