By pissing off the Brits, at least President Obama guaranteed that the British press would be keeping a close eye on his blunders:

“A teleprompt blunder has led to Barack Obama thanking himself in a speech at the White House in a St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address in Washington when he realised it all sounded a bit too familiar.

It was. He was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Mr. Cowen stopped, turned to the president and said: “That’s your speech.”

A laughing Mr. Obama returned to the podium to take over but it seems the script had finally been switched and the US president ended up thanking himself for inviting everyone to the party.

Mr. Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the “teleprompt president” over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.”

So when did we elect “Anchorman” Ron Burgundy president?

Seriously. Bush is supposedly a “moron” but Obama reads his own name off the teleprompter and - gee - he’s still brilliant.

If there was ever proof positive that “the one” is little more than a sock puppet, repeating whatever is set in front of him, this should be it.

The greatest of his qualities is perhaps that he’s a really, really good reader.

No, a “good reader” also has good reading comprehension.

No “good reader” would ever read his name, thanking himself, without realizing it.

Heck, who needs a TelePrompter to make a toast at a party? Sheesh.

Barry’s TelePrompter blogs and Twitters…says he’s going alone Tuesday.

    says he’s going alone Tuesday

And hilarity will follow…the TelePrompter will be very, very depressed.

  6. Patrick Dorwin Says:

Did you hear the latest? That insultingly lame gift of a box of DVD’s he gave to the British Prime Minister will only work in DVD players made in the US…

  7. Bruce Says:

Yes, Patrick, no reflection on you… but the British press actually theorized upon that very issue, the day the DVD’s were given to Brown.

Anyone who’s done any travel internationally whatsoever would have been able to anticipate this.

And they brag about Obama’s technological savvy… Add another “surprise” to the freaking’ list, I guess.

As the son of a Brit, I can guarantee, Obama will be ripped to shreds. Obama is a loser.
