This is from a couple days ago, but I just learned of it while surfing Dad29′s blog tonight.
Liz Cheney, daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney and a former US Deputy Asst. Secretary of State, appeared with MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell to answer allegations (old and typical ones by now) that make Dick Cheney out to be an evil overlord leading an imperialist force out to rule the oil fields of the Middle East.
Possessing the same ability as her father to focus an argument like a laser and support it with fact and reason, Liz set the record straight. Watching Miss O’Donnell get worked up and argumentative (much like CNN’s lady jerk at the Chicago TEA party) shows how much hatred the Left has for all things Cheney.

While Cheney had O’Donnell on the ropes for the whole interview, the MSNBC talker thought she had something to hang her hat on when she responds to this comment:
L. CHENEY: The lawyers’ opinions were sought in order to make sure that the program that the CIA ran stayed within the law. And the lawyers did a very responsible and professional job of laying out exactly what were the limits of how far we could go. And that is precisely what makes it so damaging that these memos have now been released.
O’DONNELL: Listen to yourself - listen to yourself, Liz, “how far we could go.”
L. CHENEY: That’s right.
O’DONNELL: How far could we go with detainees. I mean, how far….
Now, I’m watching this thinking: “Who does this O’Donnell broad think we’re up against anyway? I’m serious…is she really this clueless?” Then moments later, Miss O’Donnell confirms my suspicion:
O’DONNELL: The Geneva Convention were established…
L. CHENEY: Norah, there is nothing…
O’DONNELL: … to protect our men and women in the military. So that America would be a beacon in the world so when our men and women are captured overseas that they would not be tortured. We would never want our people to…
Yep…this O’Donnell chick is completely clueless. Cheney sums up reality for her moments later by saying:
Now, setting that aside, this argument about the Geneva Conventions, in terms of the - you know, this idea that somehow al Qaeda abides by the Geneva Conventions. If al Qaeda captures an American, they cut his head off. So I think it’s very important for us to sort of take a step back from the emotion of this and say we needed to be able to get evidence about imminent attacks.
As I finish this post I realize that there’s nothing “laughable” about this. The “Blame America First” crowd is now running the country and no matter how well Liz made her arguments, all the moonbats at MSNBC will continue their ignorant squawking because, hey…what are the odds that a jetliner will be flown into 30 Rock, right?

I suspect you’ll see PMSNBC go even farther afield as their ratings continue to tank even more. It’s the National Enquirer Effect - Headline: “Boy Trapped in Refrigerator Eats Own Foot.” Like drivers on the interstate, people will naturally be drawn to the scene of the crash to see if someone’s head flew off.
I wish the teabaggers at MSNBC all the best in their rapid trip to the bottom.

O’Donnell is not a NEWS REPORTER.
That is quite clear. She’s entitled to her opinion. NBC has ceased to matter. The reason is, that those at the top are not worried about it’s collapse as a legit news source. They won’t be harmed.

…”hurt our image around the globe”. What? We care more about our “image” that we do about American lives?!
That’s the problem with the administration they are so worried about image that they can not properly run the country.
The left cares more about waterboarding terrorists than the innocent lives of the unborn babies.

Dave Sheboygan. I didn’t hear Ms.O’Donnell quantify in any way, how our “image” has been harmed abroad.
Maybe she should worry about MSNBC’s image.
