Did anyone watch the press conference tonight?
I wasn’t in the mood so I ended up watching a poorly scripted, poorly acted show on Fox 6 called “Lie To Me,” which I thought was supposed to be a crime drama starring Tim Roth. You may remember Roth as Mr. Orange from Resevoir Dogs (1992). Instead it was some monotoned dude who couldn’t look away from his teleprompter for more than 2 seconds and when he did, he qualified his answers with “That’s not just my opinion….” Good thing I had the latest episode of Deadliest Catch on my DVR.

I thought Lie To Me was the name of the press conference?

BTW, I couldn’t stand watching it either, when a friend called and said he was going out for dinner, I jumped at the chance to avoid Barry.

I watched the DVR’d Deadliest Catch as well. I was really upset because I was looking forward to watching Lie to Me.
Why did Fox cave in and end up showing the conference?

I thought I was being original, as I switched off the grinning ninny and watched a DVR’d episode of “The Untouchables.”
My cat has a real problem when the messiah speaks. Anyone else notice that high-pitched squeak/whistle at the end of any word that ends in “s?” Being elderly and decrepit, I don’t hear very well in the higher frequency ranges anymore, but it drives the cat nuts.
I’m surprised this speech oddity hasn’t shown up in the various political parodies yet. It really makes The One even more annoying.

FOX knuckled under? Darn.

Did Fox ever officially announce they weren’t running the press conference or was it just a rumor flying around?

I watched “Lie to Me” as well…thought it would be the same as watching the press conference.
Keep smiling and telling us everything will be fine. Ah, no everything is NOT all right.
