Read this story at JSOnline and tell me this guy doesn’t sound less like a Federal judge and more like a pouting 10-year old child. After having his conduct challenged by the US Attorney’s Office on specific legal grounds, Stadtmueller has refused to take on any new criminal cases since mid-July. He has also shuffled cases already on his calendar to other judges. The effect of this has been to clog the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Are these the actions of a responsible public servant or a pouting self-centered child? He has essentially said: “You don’t like the way I play the game, then I’m going to take my ball and go home.”
