Four time convicted drunk driver (including 3 times in 19 months, which also include a charge for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia) State Representative Jeffrey Wood, (I-Bloomer)
and his Democrat buddies have been trying to get this slug off of disciplinary actions taken by the Assembly. They have reached a new low. While a leader of the efforts against this rummy, was attending his mothers funeral, Democrats attempted to force through a vote at 4AM this morning to amend AR 14 from expulsion to a meaningless censure.
Democrats and Rep. Wood Attack Rep. Nass While at Mother’s Funeral
Nass: Rep. Wood tried to force unscheduled vote on Expulsion Resolution at 4:00 a.m.
State Representative Steve Nass (R-Whitewater) while at the visitation for the funeral of his mother last night was informed that Rep. Wood (I-Bloomer) and Assembly Democrats would try to force a vote on Assembly Resolution 14 (the Expulsion of Rep. Wood) in the overnight hours during Nass’ absence. On April 15th, the Democrat leadership had provided a tentative calendar for April 20th with AR 14 scheduled for a vote.
“In my 20 years in the State Assembly, I have witnessed some pretty lousy tactics by both parties. However, the cowardly and despicable conduct overnight by Rep. Wood and some Democrats is an all time new low,” Nass said.
Rep. Wood and Assembly Democrats used a surprise procedural motion to attempt bringing up AR 14 for a vote at around 4:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Rep. Nass is the author of the original version of the AR 14, the Expulsion of Rep. Wood. Their intent was to amend AR 14 from expulsion to a meaningless censure.
However, it got even more disturbing when Rep. Pedro Colon (D-Milwaukee) criticized Nass, during debate, for choosing to be at his mother’s funeral instead of attending the Assembly session.
“I am sickened that any elected official would criticize a person for attending the funeral of a loved one, especially a parent. Rep. Colon’s statement is unforgivable and lacks any elements of human decency,” Nass said.
Nass noted that Rep. Wood admitted in debate on AR 14 last night that he wanted a vote on it prior to his court date this coming Monday. Wood is now counting on Assembly Democrats passing a censure resolution. He intends to use the censure, containing no real penalties, to seek a softer sentence from the court system.
“Rep. Wood has argued that he deserves no punishment and that the Assembly has no jurisdiction. Now, he wants immediate action on a do nothing censure resolution to help soften any criminal sentence as a result of dangerous decisions to drive under the influence three times in a twelve month period,” Nass said.
The procedural stunt failed on a vote of 47-47. All Republicans and five Democrats voted against the efforts of Rep. Wood and Democrat leadership.

So much for the party of empathy and compassion and love. Lots of projection, at least-look, Sr. Colon, just because you hate your mother doesn’t mean everyone does.

Most of the voters who put these people in office don’t care. It’s all about power to them, not right and wrong.

Pedro Colon will now be known as Pete Asshole.

The disgusting Pedro Colon, who has missed votes for family vacations, is ripping a man that just lost his mother. This classless fool must be replaced. As far as I know, no other Democrat has even condemned Colon’s ruthless actions.
You can watch Colon’s display here, you will need to scroll forward to 88:30 on the timeline to get to Colon.
