From Wigderson’s Library & Pub via Hot Air…on Monday, it was discovered that yet another person in a Feingold campaign ad is a high level AFL-CIO political operative…aka beltway insider…aka not-Jane Mainstreet. By the Feingold campaign’s own representation, one in three people supporting him are members of Big Labor. Tarnishes his above-the-special-interests image more than just a bit.

In order of appearance in the ad, the “regular people” supporting Russ are: #1…Linda Sadowski, an AFL-CIO liason to the White House; #2, 3 and 4…unidentified; #5…Joanne Ricca, AFL-CIO Legislative and Research Director; #6…unidentified. So far, it would seem that this ad didn’t use actors…didn’t use “regular people” but preferred high level, political insiders from one of the biggest labor unions in America. So let’s see who else we turn up. First, we have the two fellows in the video:

I have no idea who are these two gents. As for the ladies…

…I have no idea who they are either…but I know who they aren’t.

I challenge our most prolific commenter, “Jaeson” to identify one of these folks. If anyone in our audience will ID them, I’m betting on you man. ;)

Sidenote: If you scan the comments section at that Boots & Sabers post, you see breathless protestations with phrases like “witch hunt” and “right wing smear machine.” There has been conversation/debate elsewhere about the similarities between the hunt for Elizabeth Ackland and the savaging of a laborer from Northwest Ohio commonly known as “Joe the Plumber.” The biggest difference is we’re talking about trying to find a non-existent person versus the thorough trashing of an actual person. JTP, as I’m sure you remember, had every aspect of his life exposed to the sunlight as the vultures picked him apart. All because, like those who understand the American Dream, he one day wanted to own a business of his own. Did it matter that he was unlicensed? No, in Ohio anyone can work under the supervision of a licensed plumber. Did it matter that he wasn’t going out to open his own business the next day? No…again, it’s called aspiring to do better. Quite naturally, he wanted to know what an Obama Administration would mean for his future. Pretty natural concern, right? With Feingold, the story is the same. No union card? Sorry Joe, no Russ.

Not one of the people (or non-people) Identified in the Russ Feingold ads have been attacked.

Sebator Feigold using lobbyists and left wing special interests has been attacked.

The candidate, not the individuals. To say anything else is a lie.

I’m afraid I’m at a loss, though I’m sure identification will come soon enough.

The leftist comments at Boots & Sabers are quite amusing, typical hyper-emotional over-reactions.

For a witch hunt to take place, doesn’t the person in question have to at least, actually exist?

Furthermore, why shouldn’t the right wing smear Russ Feingold, when he’s hiring activists to portray examples that support his ideology, examples which simply don’t exist?

And that’s the real crux of the story, and why leftists seek to downplay its obvious importance.

If Feingold has to resort to hiring activists to portray folks who benefited from the policies he supports, then it suggests that the reality is something else entirely; and leftists are aware of this.

    Maybe this can be used:
