These folks serve their country. They put their health, both mental and physical, on the line. They and their families endure intense hardship and strain. Why can’t we accomodate their basic right to vote? Why didn’t anyone in power not foresee the problem prior to it becoming an 11th hour scramble? Here we have a story of real disenfranchisement…so where are all the folks who claim to be voter’s rights advocates?

Roland, they are only voter’s rights advocates when the voter is Democrat, and possibly dead or non-existant. As far as Obama is concerned, the military can go to Hell.

Do as I did. Contact your State Senator and Representative and let them know how you feel about this. Don’t sugar coat it either. Don’t let them tell you that it’s the fault of the leadership and there’s nothing they could do. They could have called press conferences and gone on talk radio or whatever other media they wanted, and they could have made noise about this long ago and forced the leadership to do something rather than just sittiing on their hands like a bunch of limpwrists and waiting for someone else to do something. Remember this in November!

It really is amazing to me the steps this guy takes to distance himself from doing what’s right. He’s just shy of telling citizens to make their own arrests too. Want a wild west again Ed? Keep going in this direction and you’ll get it.

The problem is that local governments are polluted with leftist activists.
So I don’t think it’s a matter of being able to accomodate the basic right to vote, as much as it is leftist activists sitting on their hands because accomodating the troops’ basic right to vote means allowing votes that run against leftist kookism.
Remember, leftists believe that every vote counts, unless those votes run counter to what they believe.
