Has anyone noticed that the Indian Summer Festival being held at the Summer Fest Grounds this weekend is honoring Warriors? They are talking about the modern day Warriors, like soldiers, police officers and fire fighters. This is an awesome thing they are doing, since the history of Native American Warriors were the protectors of their people, a position of honor, something children strove to be… This is the true meaning of the word.

Contrast that with the hyper-politically correct goofballs, like those at Marquette University that tell us that the term Warriors is derogatory and must never be used. I know it’s too late to change their (closed) minds, but I hope they caught the true meaning of the word from the people who they claimed to be protecting.

Any term can be considered non PC if it is used by a non PC person or group. Also the same term if used by the correct PC person or group falls under the protection of the PC banner.

    Is that clear?
