A few weeks ago, the Mark Neumann campaign was caught spreading a rumor that Scott Walker was dropping out of the race for Governor of Wisconsin and instead would run for the Lt. Governor position. This week, Neumann’s campaign was caught lying to GOP delegates.
Wis. GOP Delegate Files Complaint Over Call - wcco.com.
Phone calls to delegates at the Wisconsin Republican Party convention asking who they endorse for governor were an attempt to quash support for Scott Walker, his campaign consultant said Tuesday.
The Walker campaign accused GOP rival Mark Neumann of intimidating delegates who said they supported Walker from actually voting to give him the party’s endorsement at the state convention in May.
From the complaint filed with the Government Accountability Board. [em mine]
Kathy Kiernan, a GOP delegate from Richfield, said in the complaint that she received a call on Saturday from someone claiming to be from the Republican Party who asked her about who she intended to support at the convention. When pressed about who he was representing, Kiernan said the caller hung up.
“I’m very upset by this,” Kiernan said. “When people have delegate lists and they’re making misleading phone calls, that’s just not right.”
Wisconsin campaign laws state that callers must identify the campaign paying them when asked. This caller hung up on the delegate rather than identify themselves as the law requires.
The Neumann campaign is of course, deflecting, but once again, Mark Neumann has been shown to be desperate and willing to sink to lying to help himself. Neumann use to be someone I respected, but he’s just a lying politician that doesn’t deserve my respect.

Over at ScottForGov.com they have a partial transcript and a link to Jay Weber’s commentary on the latest Neumann stunt.
It seems that they are now up to delegates in 12 counties, and Neumann himself has been making some similar calls.
