Just a quick note on who I will be voting for. Feel free to share your favorites.

Governor: Scott Walker. Scott will be an outstanding governor, the fact that Democrats are crossing over to vote for Neumann should speak volumes to who they fear. They know that they have a much better chance to beat Mark Neumann… I think they can too. Mark Neumann has angered a lot of Conservatives by spending his first several months running a very negative campaign, even though he now claims that he’s the only one not running negatively… Many of us have not forgotten that Neumann threatened to run as an independent to “rip the party apart.”

Lt. Governor: Rebecca Kleefisch. Rebecca is a true conservative, unlike her main opponent, Brett Davis, the only Republican to vote for Jim Doyle’s disastrous budget, his leadership on forcing Wisconsin to use ethanol to name just a few.

Senator: Ron Johnson. Ron Johnson will add a strong Conservative voice in Washington. Russ Feingold knows his days are numbered. Dave Westlake is a nice guy and may have a future in politics, but I’ll be surprised if he breaks 25% in this primary.

Sheriff: I can’t vote in this election, since it is a Democratic primary, but I fully support Sheriff David Clarke. I think Clarke may be in trouble because he continues to cling to the Democratic party that has left him long ago.

State Senate District 7: Another race that I can’t vote in, Jeff Plale is being challenged by uber-Liberal Chris Larson, a convicted thief with a record of run-ins with the law. I would vote for Jeff Plale.

Others I enthusiastically support is my friend Sam Hagedorn, who is challenging “Red” Fred Kessler, and Dan Sebring, who is challenging Gwen Moore.

Care to share you endorsements?

Thanks very much for your support Patrick, I will do my best to unseat Fred.

Well, I can tell you this. In no way shape or form will I ever vote for Johnson. And here’s why:

However, these are a few reasons why I AM voting for Dave Westlake:

That and the fact that Dave actually has more than buzzwords, Dave has a record of service to our country, Dave is also a small business owner, and unlike Mr. Johnson, actually doesn’t have difficulty reading or understanding our Constitution. So yes, I’ll chose him over the man the wisgop is trying to shove on me any day of the week, month or year.

    Good luck with your campaign.

I feel so very calm and patriotic voting for Ron Johnson, Scott Walker and Kleefisch. If I stumbled into the Democratic column, I would NOT vote for David Clarke. His tv coverage, wearing black cotton slacks and buttons & pins on his uniform shirt demeans the quasi-military look of the uniform. To wear very dark sunglasses when greeting the public outdoors is, in my mind, demeaning and disrespectful. Would he allow his subordinates to be clad in such a manner?? I surely think not.

@Krillinfan…You do realize that, as a Senator, Westlake won’t be free to implement his nifty battle plan for Afghanistan, right? It is the CINC’s job. I have zero confidence that Obamma would listen to a junior Senator from the opposition party. While his battle plan is nifty, it’s kind of a waste of time.

His presentation on economic issues had the beginnings of some good stuff. Tax reform is needed in a big way…as is readjusting how we view public spending. While he gave some specific tax reforms, he said nothing about which government programs should be phased out under his plan.
I respect that he served in the military. Were he to get the nomination, I think Rusty would bury him in campaign spending.

I’m sure you just dropped in to campaign for Westlake, so I will be surprised if your respond to this.

  7. Patrick Dorwin Says:

Krillinfan is a friend from Twitter, he’s very passionate in his support of Dave Westlake, as are most of the hard core Westlake supporters. As I have said, Westlake is an honorable man and I would like to vote for him someday, but in this race, he’s just in over his head. It’s a sad truth that money = speech in politics, and Westlake’s only source of fund-raising is selling orange t-shirts… That’s just not going to cut it against someone with millions of dollars to spend destroying his opponent, the way Feingold will do.

I hope at the end of the day, most of Dave Westlake supporters, and Dave himself, will support Ron Johnson, the real target is, after all, Russ Feingold. That man MUST be removed before he and his Socialist Comrades can do more damage to this nation we love.

  8. Roland_Melnick Says:

The same Lefties/Progressives/Liberals who sang self-righteous blues over big money entering judicial races apparently have no problem with big money entering Sheriff elections in a full-court press against David Clarke. Situational ethics, I suppose.

What does a “true Democrat” do differently as Sheriff, compared to a DINO or a Repub?

Would Clarke have the option to run as an Independent?

  9. Patrick Dorwin Says:

He can’t run as an independent, he would have to run a write-in campaign… Unless enough Republican primary voters write him in on the GOP side and he actually wins the Republican nomination… That would really freak out the Socialists, wouldn’t it?

  10. jay Says:

“What does a “true Democrat” do differently as Sheriff, compared to a DINO or a Repub?”

Selectively enforce laws based upon party affiliation or PC status?

  11. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

I can’t really say that this bothers me as I have always felt if you’re a Conservative and hang with Republicans and you were appointed by a Republican, then you should be running as a Republican. I really don’t care that Milwaukee has traditionally been full of zombie-like voters. That didn’t keep Scott Walker from winning a county-wide election.

  12. Krillinfan Says:

Roland, while I DO love your accusatory tone and implications that I don’t get how government works, no, I’m not just here to campaign.

And yes, I also realize that just because Westlake has a plan it doesn’t mean it gets implimented. However, he at least has a plan. Nor does he have trouble understanding the constitution. nor does he refuse to debate his opponent in 12 given opportunities. Nor was he a johnny-come-lately candidate who won endorsement from the state GoP despite being in the race all of 5 days without a clear stance on issues just because he agreed to self-finance. That’s why I support him, not the exact same type of candidate Feingold beats every time they challenge him and I am SO deeply sorry if that somehow offends your sensibilities.

  13. Roland_Melnick Says:

You are overly sensitive, Krillinfan. I just think that saying Dave Westlake is the best man for the job because he knows what to do in Afghanistan is a pointless exercise.

Apparently you didn’t notice that I complimented your candidate as well.
