Ted Kennedy made a brief Washington appearance late this afternoon to cast the 61st “aye” vote on a measure closing the debate on the Porkulus measure and paving the way for final passage tomorrow.
Hanging on fellow “regular American” John Kerry’s arm, Kennedy proved that, even ailing, he could still fire off hollow, aggrandized run-on sentences with absolutely no point whatsoever. Maybe it’s the meds. No wait, come to think of it, he was like this before.
I can’t help pointing out the delicious twist in this paragraph from The Associated Press‘ report on this afternoon’s vote:
“Moments before the vote, the Congressional Budget Office issued a new estimate that put the cost at $838 billion, an increase from the $827 billion figure from last week. Ironically, the agency said provisions in the bill intended to limit bonuses to executives at firms receiving federal bailout money would result in lower tax revenues for the government.”
This debacle hasn’t even passed yet and it’s already robbing the government of revenue.
Hey, just wait.

Obama took a pre-arranged question from the Huffington Post.
Let’s review. The .6% of Republicans, that’s less than 1% crossed the aisle to accept this bill.
The Bill was completely written by the MOST LIBERAL Democrats. 2% of Demcrats crossed over in to DISAGREE with the BILL.
It’s completely and utterly owned by LIBTARDS.
It is not stimulus and it does not put money into the hands of consumers nor the middle class.
To conclude. More people crossed over toward the Republicans than crossed to the Democrats.
And this is BI-PARTISAN??? Please.

This is not ironic, if almost all businesses have already cut 20% and productivity comes to a screeching halt, the government is going to be short more that 9 billion at the end of the year. In addition, California is broke and can no-longer support our federal government. Where is the money going to come from now? Texas, New York, doubt it. The government knows they’ve caused the problem and now they are getting a 800 billion dollar bandaid, for them, the problem, not stimulus for the people. Debt for our children for frivolous government spending in the name of the children here and abroad.

Too bad Mary Jo Kopechne could not be present to hear this idiot. Oh well, the democrats want to respect a murderer and a spineless lizard who lets a young woman to die by running away like a coward. Ted Kennedy is a loser and may he rest in hell, where he belongs.

With regards to total spending, the Dems are trying to pull the most common of all sales scams:
Pre-sale Price: $800 Billion
Adjusted Retail Price : $900 Billion
Sale Price : $838 Billion
You save $62 Billion!!! Three Days Only!! Call in the next twenty minutes!!
But don’t worry. By the time it gets out of committee it’ll be back up to $900 billion (+300 billion for interest).

10,000 GM workers jobless today.
10,000 x 45k per year = add another half billion per year.
Yes, what are we going to do next year and the year after if the money is actually government stimulus.
They only way to combat government stimulus is to reduce tax revenue and not let the borrow anymore money from our children. Let them feed on themselves.

Do they really need those huge lights on (in the tunnel) in the middle of the day?

Does he know that there is an Elderly Death clause built into the Stimulus package. The government will be able to decide whether he is worth saving. So in four years if the Repub’s get into office, they are going to be able to decide if he lives or dies. Good way to thin out the opposition.
I thought he was a grandparent. How can he be pro-DEATH to grandparents STIMULUS BILL? I think he will not miss the 838 billion, for they will choose not to save him if he’s old and has cancer. Just to expensive to save the old guy?
