I will be at Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront most of the day today. I am making a whole day of this afternoon’s TEA Party! So if you are Taxed Enough Already. join me and thousands of others as we let those in Washington D.C. know that we have had enough of their intrusion into our lives. From 3-5PM, we will be joined by several outstanding speakers, on both the local and national level.
My plan is to post updates throughout the day to this post, but my primary mode of communication will probably be through Twitter. You can follow me here. For this weekend, I have also added a Twitter updater at the top of the right sidebar.
I should have pictures and video posted by this evening and into Sunday. I hope to see many thousands of you down there having fun. If you have never been to this sort of event, it is always a lot of fun, not the hate filled screaming matches the media & liberal moonbats (but I repeat myself) likes to portray them as. It will be a happy, patriotic day as we exercise our First Amendment Rights!

The Milwaukee Area Labor Council is planning to be there, of course they have to call out their organized members and professional protesters, but don’t let this attitude stop you from excercising your freedom of speech.
From The Milwaukee Area Labor Council (AFL-CIO)
High taxes and socialism is NOT what is right for this country, no matter what these union thugs try to dictate.

Information moved, please check here.
September 19th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
The usage of sophomoric sexual slang in AFL-CIO’s official communications illustrates the mentality of the organization.

Pictures here, folks: http://thedavecasperexperience.blogspot.com/
I couldn’t find the AFL-CIO folks. Anyone else see them?

The only protestors I saw were across the street on Lincoln Memorial Drive. Looked like a bunch of dried up 60s era hippies too. Maybe 10-12 of them. I saw none anywhere near the actual event. I think the size of our crowd has an intimidating effect on these morons as they have been a non-factor at every one of the Tea Parties I’ve been at in the State.
Michelle Malkin is a very awesome and personable individual. I had the pleasure of being assigned as her personal security and had great help from Bruce, Roland and Brian (friend of Bruce and sometime commenter on BB). From the time we picked Michelle up at the airport until the time we took her back to the airport she was just a pleasure to be around, and she is a very accommodating celebrity with autographs (signing her book and other items presented to her) and photographs with her admirers. Unfortunately we had to hustle her out of there to catch her plane and were unable to accommodate everybody who wanted a photo with her or authograph. (That was on me, so if anyone was upset it’s my fault – not hers.) On a side note, Bruce gave us a wonderful tour of the airport parking structure after we picked her up.

No time to write an in-depth bit right now…Mrs. Melnick and I got a sitter for the kids and we’re hitting the town for a nice, relaxing dinner.
I will say this…anyone who calls the TEA partiers an “angry mob” (or pick any of the other derogatory labels we’ve all seen) either needs to have their head examined or they are intentionally spinning these gatherings for their own agenda-based reasons. Everyone I met today were polite, well mannered and well spoken…unless you got to talking specifically about our Federal Government or one of the many ills currently afflicting Wisconsin State Government…just as with the April 15th, 2009 Tax Day TEA Party in Madistan.
All I’ve got time for, for now…dinner awaits.

That’s very cool, Glenn. It’s nice she got first class treatment, she’s a national treasure.
Hope she posts some good words about us.
It was a beautiful day on the lakefront with caring people around wherever you looked.

Scott Walker gave an inspirational speech at the TEA Party.
(The beginning is a little rough, but I got better.)
September 19th, 2009 at 10:24 pm
Thanks for posting that, Patrick. Wish I could have been back this weekend…
Couldn’t help but notice the stooges at theJ-S put “angry mob” up top and Scott Walker down at the bottom.

Michelle Malkin!
Because of the poor audio quality I received at Veoh.com, I have decided it was best to split the video and use YouTube, please view both parts.

I just received word from Mark Block (AFP) that the Sheriff’s Dept. estimated the crowd size at 15,000. Not too shabby.

Mike Tate, the Wisconsin Democratic Party chairman, downplayed the impact of the tea party movement.
“These are extremist elements pulling together, distinct vocal minorities that frankly don’t believe in this country,” Tate said. “They don’t want to see more people have access to quality affordable health care; they don’t want clean air and water. They fundamentally don’t understand how the American government, economy and capitalism work.”
This attitude is good news for those of us who DO CARE about this Country, enjoy drinking water and breathing. It’s this demonstration of complete cluelessness that is going to truly CHANGE things in the Country…..about time!! Typical liberal attitude, PRETEND the problem doesn’t exist and it goes away.

“They don’t want to see more people have access to quality affordable health care; they don’t want clean air and water.” – Mike Tate
Yup, we are completely against clean air and water. That is what the tea party was all about – dirtier air and filthier water!
I wasn’t around too long after the tea party, but the grounds looked spotless. Hate to think what Veterans Park would look like had 15,000 libs gathered.

I have to share this bit of our conveyance of Michelle from the airport. While enroute to our first stop, Michelle wanted to stop at a drugstore to pick up a few things. As we were on the eastside (where I was born and raised and lived until 1976), I knew that there was a Walgreen’s at Farwell and Brady so that’s where we stopped. Those of you who aren’t familiar with the Brady Street area, it’s the belly of the beast where the hippies congregated back in the 60s – kind of Milwaukee’s answer to San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury District back in those anti-Vietnam war times. We walked into the Walgreen’s with her; she looked around and purchased what she needed; we wlaked back to the car and drove off. Some of the usual freeze-dried 60s hippies floating around; but nobody recognized her (obviously because they don’t watch FOX NEWS). I explained the history of Brady Street to her and we went on to our first destination. I’m sure that once this gets out, the lefties will go into vapor lock and some kind of Boycott or other protest (maybe a candlelight vigil) will take place to deal with this “trespass” upon their “hallowed ground”. I just laugh my ass off everytime I think of this.
As for Michelle, she was one of the most unassuming people I have had the pleasure of being around. And what a courageous person too. I stayed close to her and was not about to let ANYONE cause her any problems yesterday, and no one did.
Vicki McKenna reported one disturbance at the event, but that must have happened after we left to take Michelle back to the airport because I had been talking with Vicki off and on while I was there and neither she nor anyone else made mention of any problems to me. Apparently some balloon head decided to act stupid and hit a woman in the crowd, but the good guys swooped down on this asshole and arrested him. He should have purchased a lottery ticket after they released him from jail because they probably saved this guy from the need for medical attention too.

Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke is one of my favorite public speakers, as usual, he didn’t disappoint.

Thanks for sharing for us “Badgers by Birth” who live elsewhere now. Watching this makes me miss Milwaukee just a bit and wish I could have been there.
Keep up the good work!!

I was unhappy with the audio quality of the Michelle Malkin video, so I have reposted the video using YouTube. Because of the length of the speech, I had to split it in half. Please scroll up to see the new video.
September 20th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
The only protestors I saw were across the street on Lincoln Memorial Drive. Looked like a bunch of dried up 60s era hippies too
Probably smell like it, too. Fortunately you weren’t close enough to get a whiff.
September 20th, 2009 at 3:02 pm
Thier was one protester on the west side of the crowd near kind of between the red semi and the tent further North. He was quoted in the Journal but left soon into the protest. I am guessing he left after he was interviewed. He had a 2 Square signs one with Don’t Blame Obama for Bush defceits and second with Healthcare for all or something similar.
It was a wonderful day to sneak away from homework and be there. The speakers were excellant and I have to say in my lifetime I have never felt such an electric feeling to the crowd. They are not backing down. I don’t if I am right but the air of commitment or resolve makes me feel this movement will not stop until they have influnced the country and stopped the madness. I imagine it was like when Tom Ament and the board was thrown out but I wasn’t in Milwaukee then. Thank you Patrick for all the video’s.

Glenn, next time you pick up Michelle Malkin, I get to ride along.

John O’Hara speaks to the crowd at the Milwaukee TEA Party
September 20th, 2009 at 5:53 pm
Mickey, we didn’t have room in the car, or we would have called.
Best part of the day was Michelle Malkin politely asking if she could ride in the front seat of the car and my best friend, who is 6′6″ and 290 Lbs., politely responding, “no problem,” then buttering up my door frame and slipping his mutantly large frame into the back seat of my car. Every time I looked at his face in the rear view mirror, with his knees at a level roughly even with his neck, it appeared that his head was going to explode.
It was eerily similar to the expression Matt Lauer had on his face the morning he interviewed Michelle Malkin on the Today Show.
September 20th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Hi Bruce. I hope you are well my friend. We haven’t chatted in a while!!
As you know, I’m tiny and lithe. I could have sat on your lap brother!!!!!
Please tell me that Glenn didn’t have to sit in the back too!!?
Dear dear, if I sat on your lap, who would have worked the pedals???
Btw. Who is this Mickey you refer too??
September 20th, 2009 at 6:20 pm
Glenn, I’m holding you to NEXT TIME.
Btw. Bruce is pretty slick!! Aina??
September 20th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Vicki is awesome. NO HOLDS BARRED IRISH WOMAN!!
Over a year ago, I talked to Vicki and had her put a CARBON CREDIT on E-Bay!!
She got offers!!
September 20th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
And lastly. Bruce. I’ve never seen a 6′6″ 290lb mutant teenage ninja HILLTOPPER in the back seat of a PRIUS. That must have some effect on gas mileage and global warming. I believe there should be a federal TAX on all of those over whatever weight I am currently at.
September 20th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
LOL Mickey, I don’t drive a Prius, but I do drive a vehicle in the “Toyota family.”
And Glenn sat in the back seat, and never once complained. Because Glenn is a class act.
September 20th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
While waiting for another video to upload, I thought I would share a few thoughts on the TEA Party.
While I was offered a spot with Glenn, Bruce & Roland, and as cool as I’m sure that was, I had a wonderful time and I’m glad I didn’t miss the chance to enjoy the entire event.
I got there a few hours early and got what was probably the closest parking spot you could get, and best of all, it was right on the park, so I put my flag on the car and my lawn chair next to the car and enjoyed the afternoon with some good friends, Pete, Steve & The Asian Badger. We hung around the car until a half hour or so before the start, then we made out way in. On the way in, we stopped to chat with Chris Kliesmet & Orville Seymer from Citizens for Responsible Government.
Once I found a a good spot for the tripod, I settled in to enjoy the show. During the speeches, State Representative, and Senate candidate Leah Vukmir spotted me and came over to say hi (you all better vote for her). As Leah left, a young woman next to me was really impressed, “You know Leah Vukmir?’ she yelled in my ear… I told her Leah and I were drinking buddy’s, sorry Leah
Then after Bruce came over to talk to me looking all official and on “that” side of the tape, she must have really thought I was someone important
After things wound down, I was looking around and was surprised at how clean the grounds were. Funny how after a tree-hugging liberal event, the place is trashed, never see that after a conservative event. On my way out, I took my time, letting the traffic thin out, I was talking to one of the guys selling flags, I had to get me a little Gadsen. He told me that he works at a lot of events like this, business was great and had never seen a nicer group of people.
September 20th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
Hey Bruce, I think Glenn didn’t complain because he was happy he wasn’t stuck in one of those little airplanes again

Zach Wisniewski is calling BS on the attendance figure, claiming it’s closer to 1,000.
I think he’s confused:
Maass….1,429
Molus….1,277
Wiesniewski….1,049
Szablewski….733
September 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
Good one Paul. If Zach thinks the attendance was closer to 1,000, that confirms my suspicions about him and his group of kool aid drinkers. I’m sure they believe we were all photo shopped too. Kind of explains their blind allegiance to gumby and the Dem Party. (Hell of a quality for someone who is supposed to be monitoring criminals too.) Zombies.
Hey Patrick, you’re right on the money with the little airplanes comment. I think I’d have been more comfortable riding an ultra-light on that trip. By the way, my apologies to those in attendance who I didn’t take time to talk with (did see and shake hands with Steve, The Asian Badger upon our arrival with Michelle), but I stay very focused when I’m with any celeb/dignitary I’m responsible for and am very conscious of maintaining their safety by not altering their destination for personal purposes.

Zombies. For some reason that classic clip of Bob Hope comes to mind …

Peter, this is the Bob Hope classic you were referring to. Takes a little while to open up on my machine, but it’s worth the wait. Jaeson, this clip says it all.

The tea parties have yielded one thing – an unhinged Keith Schmitz with racist rants. Talk about a self-loathing Caucasian.
September 21st, 2009 at 8:03 pm
The lefty answer to Bagdad Bob (Renee Crawford) wrote on her blog that we had about 300 to 400 people at the Lakefront Tea Party event, and she was just so distraught at the violence that took place before her very eyes. She and the rest of those lefties must really be afraid of what they see happening. It didn’t go their way when their heroes Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn (and their crew) were trying to blow up police cars and other government property; when Leo Burt, Fine, and the Armstrong brothers killed the researcher when they blew up a UW research building; and it isn’t going their way now. They resort to lies and other distortions which is what they’ve always been about, and there are some idiots out there who believe them but there is a significant number of people who see through all their B.S. and aren’t gong to put up with it any longer.
