Former Vice President and “climate change” profiteer Al Gore swoops in to Madison today, undoubtedly weaving his special blend of liberal guilt, hypocrisy, and junk science into his keynote speech to a group of environmental journalists meeting in the Capitol City. Madison could not be more thrilled.
Oh, and Barack Hussein Soetorobama won the Nobel Peace Prize. Greatest human being who ever graced the earth with his presence. It’s impossible for mere mortals like ourselves to comprehend his awesome awesomeness. Able to unite the world, outrun a jaguar, and perfect pitch to boot! Oh, you should hear his voice! He’s smooth as butter! Like Mario Lanza, he is. Amazing. What a man. What an amazing, amazing man.
You know the drill. Talk amongst yourselves.

So then…, I take it he’s “swooping in” on his solar powered airplane?
I heard he had to turn in his Nobel medal so they could give it to some other liberal fool. It’s become sort of a travelling trophy for ineffective liberals nowadays.

Wonder if he’ll be meeting with Mark Neumann to discuss “Green Homes”.

I’m still laughing about the Obama, Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Committee “praised his pledges to reduce the world stock of nuclear arms, ease American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthen the U.S. role in combating climate change.”
So how does doing nothing while Iran builds nuclear weapons, and continues to threaten to wipe out Israel, “reduce the world stock of nuclear arms”?
Of course, the easing of “American conflicts with Muslim nations” was discussed here yesterday… Obama now says the Taliban is no longer to be treated as the terrorists that they are, even though they continue to kill American solders… Yeah, surrender eases tension. Also, the fact that he is pro-Muslim doesn’t hurt.
And global warming, or climate change as they now call it to cover their blatant lies… Chicago is expecting their earliest snowfall ever… the last “earliest ever” was… 3 years ago
Submissions to the Nobel Commission was due two weeks after Obama took office, at that time, his only international accomplishment was the fact that he was going to foreign nations and apologizing for anything for anything America may have done to offend them in the past… Actually, that’s still his only accomplishment.

So how does doing nothing while Iran builds nuclear weapons, and continues to threaten to wipe out Israel, “reduce the world stock of nuclear arms”?
For every one nuclear warhead Iran builds, Obama expects the U.S. to dismantle a number greater than one. Net reduction in “world stock of nuclear arms.” Basically, he gets the award for promising to weaken America.

Exceptional Krauthammer article:
“The current liberal ascendancy in the United States–controlling the executive and both houses of Congress, dominating the media and elite culture–has set us on a course for decline.” -CK

Meanwhile, back in the Badger State, Al Gore and company turned off the microphone on Phelim McAller, co-director/producer of “Not Evil Just Wrong” after he asked some hard questions of the Goracle.
Semi-on-topic; I do recommend the movie.

My gift to the Goracle.
Please share with as many people as you can.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Obama administration has repealed a rule that would have threatened employers with prosecution unless they fired workers whose Social Security numbers did not match entries in a government database, ending a two-year battle in a San Francisco federal court.
Although the Department of Homeland Security formally withdrew the “no-match” rule Wednesday, the administration is supporting another program enabling employers to check workers’ names against electronic records that are supposed to screen out illegal immigrants.
That program, E-Verify, is voluntary for most employers but mandatory for the 170,000 companies holding federal contracts and for their subcontractors. This week, a House-Senate conference committee voted to extend E-Verify for three years.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is challenging the scope of the program in a Maryland federal court.

DebbieSchlussel.com has learned that Robert Schoch, the Special Agent in Charge of Immigration
and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for Los Angeles, is under investigation for alleged embezzlement
and/or misuse of ICE funds used in undercover operations. Mr. Schoch and the Los Angeles Deputy
Special Agent in charge, Jennifer Silliman, were escorted from the ICE federal offices in Long
Beach, California, and had their badges and guns taken from them (standard procedure when an agent
is under investigation and put on leave). They were both put on administrative leave pending a
continuing investigation. A search warrant was reportedly executed on Agent Schoch’s home, and
sources say his computers from both his LAX and Long Beach offices were seized.

Congressman Joe Wilson has raked in a cool $2.7 million dollars in campaign contributions this past quarter: http://www.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/20091009rep_joe_wilson_rakes_in_27_million_in_donations_after_you_lie_shout/srvc=home&position=recent

I’m holding the main level at 70 with ceiling fans and a gas fireplace, but with relatives coming to stay with us tonight, I see a flip of the switch on the big boy before the day is through… Haven’t had the yearly P.M. done on it yet. Hope you don’t read about us in the news tomorrow…

I turned the furnace on about 1/2 hour ago. After steam-cleaning the carpets this morn it was pretty toasty for a while but it has cooled down real quick.
Egads!!! I just looked out the window…. it’s snowing.
(corner of Waukesha & Walworth counties).
October 10th, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Yeah, it was snowing in Sun Prairie about 1 1/2 hours ago, didn’t want to say anything about it to depress the rest of you. Figured it would get over that way sooner or later.
My cousin is actually helping his in-laws move their boat across Lake Michigan from Benton Harbor to Chicago today. I’ll bet it’s a little “choppy.”

The Weekly Standard has published a list of people whom the Nobel committee apparently felt were less worthy than Mr. Soetorobama.
The woman who fought the Taliban to keep the girls’ schools open in Afghanistan, the dude who spent 17 years in a Chinese prison in an attempt to reform communist China, and the folks who clean up land mines as a hobby were dealt a heaping, Chicago-sized portion of “Hope and Change.”
Well, they were dealt a heaping portion of something.
