It looks like someone has been paying attention. The man elected as Alderman Michael McGee, has had his drivers license revoked because the DOT has discovered that he has licenses under both Michael McGee and Michael Jackson. It seems that after the license was revoked using his legal name, Jackson, he went out and got a license under the McGee name. The DOT is referring the case for possible criminal prosecution.
JS Online:McGee driver’s license revokedThe state Department of Transportation’s fraud unit has determined that Milwaukee Ald. Michael I. McGee held driver’s licenses under two names, a DOT official said Monday.
His driver records were merged under the McGee name June 26, resulting in the revocation of his license, said Janet Huggins, a DOT program supervisor. That’s because a license under the name of Michael I. Jackson had already been revoked in March 2000, and DOT investigators determined McGee and Jackson were the same person, Huggins said.
Reached by phone at City Hall, McGee said, “You are not going to get any comments from me about my personal life,” and hung up.
Now the insurance company that Jackson owes money to from a past accident, is on the case.
News accounts of the name-change petition drew Schimmel’s (from Farmers Insurance Co.) attention and concern that McGee might be switching between the two names to
avoid paying his debt, Schimmel said. The insurance company is still owed about $650, Schimmel said.Records in the Jackson insurance case show that most of the monthly payments were made by money order, but that a Michael McGee had made two of the payments by personal check, once in 2000 and again in 2001.
“Strong circumstantial evidence” suggests McGee stopped making payments on the accident judgment after he got a driver’s license in the McGee name, Schimmel said. “I would argue that in this case he has used the two personas to create misrepresentations and fraud.”
When asked about the 1996 accident records in the Jackson name, McGee told the Journal Sentinel in May: “Any issue regarding that name had to be a mistake. I don’t have any record of consistently using that
name.”
McGee’s attorney claims that any money owed to the insurance company was extinguished when McGee filed for bankruptcy in 1997, but the bills to the insurance company were never listed as part of the bankruptcy, and the action from the insurance company was against Michael I Jackson, not the McGee named in the bankruptcy case.
Hopefully later today we will find out of the District Attorneys Office will charge him for the perjury charges stemming from his false testimony in court earlier this year.

Someone should now check to see if he voted under both names in the past few elections.

The insurance company won’t give a damn what the color of his skin is or that he is an elected official. They won’t be intimidated or worried about a potential backlash. They will do more here than E. Michael, the State Elections Board and other Milwaukee law enforcement combined.
