Channel 12 is reporting that Milwaukee police are investigating harassing phone calls made to a recall supporter. Details to follow.

McGee Staffer Accused of Harassment
The women leading McGee’s recall effort turned in signatures last month. Since then one of the ladies said she’s received countless phone calls from a McGee worker and even one from McGee.
Jeanette Chatman refused to return Alderman McGee’s call. After all she’s working against him.
“Why would he call me? I have never spoken to or seen this man,” Chatman said. But, the calls continued, allegedly, from Joan Hollingsworth, who is said to be working for McGee.
“She’s telling me about, ‘Do I want to make some money?’” Chatman said. She said she was offered $1,500 to quit the recall campaign.
Milwaukee police say they received the complaint and are investigating.

Ms. Jordan was on the agenda to speak at the Nov. meeting of the Riverwest Neighborhood Association. She did not show up. However several “new” folks did. Standard practice during introductions is to say your name and the city block you live on. These new folks (all black men)said things like “I’m thinking of moving here,” “This is my first meeting,”
and one even said he lived well outside the neighborhood. It took me a few moments, but it eventually occurred to me that these gentlemen were part of the harassment Ms. Jordan has complained about. This is all very real. And the 6th District deserves better.

On a related subject, isn’t Michael Maistelman the same ambulance chaser that was involved in the Doyle “fixing” of the Elections Board? Oh, the company you keep….
