About a week and a half ago we learned about the case of a 17 year old that was stabbed by the mother of the 8 year old cousin he was sexually assaulting. The mother was arrested, but a charging decision was put off until today.

Follow the link below for full details and links to criminal reports.

Prosecutors Charge Mother Over Stabbing of Sex Assualt Suspect
Prosecutors in Sheboygan County have filed a misdemeanor charge against a mother who stabbed a teenager after he was caught sexually assaulting the woman’s 8-year-old daughter.

[...]

In a statement, Sheboygan County District Attorney Joe DeCecco says, “On the one hand, you have an obviously distraught mother reacting to the news that her daughter was sexually assaulted. On the other, you have the fact that the nephew was stabbed after the child was safe, after he had been beaten by the mother’s friend who discovered the act and after the mother had called police and had taken the knife away from her friend. This appears to be retaliation or revenge and is simply unacceptable under the law.”

[...]

DeCecco says he’s not seeking jail time for the mother, but he believes a misdemeanor conviction is appropriate.

She deserves a medal, not a criminal charge!

  1. Ron Says:

I certainly hope the mother of his next victim (months from now) finishes the job!

  2. Amy P. Says:

Typical…defend yourself against perps and thugs and YOU get in trouble.

When did it become SOP that criminals have more rights than those they victimize?

  3. HeatherRadish Says:

I gotta go with criminal charge: “At some point, the mother, her boyfriend and other friend left to go to a food mart, leaving the nephew with the children.”

They left children in the care of someone known to have a history of sexual assault involving minors.

Charge all the adults with child endangerment.

  4. Gary Says:

Looks like Sheboygan is just filling out the triangle of crime ridden cities along with Madison and Milwaukee.

  5. Leonard Says:

As a third-party observer: She deserves to be charged. If convicted, she deserved to be imprisoned. Vigilante justice has no place in civilized society.

As a parent of three: I certainly wouldn’t have stabbed him, but I’m sure he would have “fallen down” a few times before the police arrived to take him away.

  6. mickey Says:

Leonard, I must assume that you would plead guilty to “helping him fall down” a.k.a vigilante justice and willingly leave civilized society for prison.

    You are a good man.

  7. Roland Melnick Says:

What this woman did was not vigilante justice. It was not self-defense. She was defending her child against rape. Yes, she chose an ugly means, but telling a parent they can’t defend their child from rape is a sickening message to send. I think the woman would have an excellent ‘diminished capacity’ defense.

So Leonard, you’re saying you’re not really against vigilante justice so long as it doesn’t leave a physical mark?

  8. Peter Says:

I’m no longer opposed to vigilante justice, since our criminal justice system no longer works to protect law-abiding citizens. The cops refuse to do much of anything and when they do, sleazy trial lawyers fool juries comprised of products of our gummint-run skoolz, and dealing-making DAs and ADAs pleading down to the lowest common denominator just to get the conviction on their record.

If the system won’t protect us, then we have to protect ourselves. No one else will do it.

That’s another reason to love CCW.

  9. Peter Says:

How’s that saying go? I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

  10. mickey Says:

Liberals come to the aid of criminals all the time. They don’t come to the aid of victims. This woman and her family are THE VICTIMS, if she blew this motherfuqqers head off, I’d give her 30 days in the cooler, then suspend the sentence. Maybe Robin “goats head soup” Shellow can get her off on a non-urban psychosis defense.
Libs don’t even want to defend their country never mind children. They wriggle and twist themselves into the phoniest moral high ground holders. “Vigilante justice”?????? WTF, this was a pissed off angry mom. If it had been me, he’d be dead. Then I’d get a jury trial and the key to the city.

  11. HeatherRadish Says:

the nephew was stabbed after the child was safe, after he had been beaten by the mother’s friend who discovered the act and after the mother had called police

She wasn’t “defending her child against rape. She may have been able to prevent the assault by not leaving her child home alone with someone she knew had sexually assaulted someone else, and she didn’t. Instead, she knifed the perp AFTER the act was OVER, AFTER someone else had already pulled him off the girl and smacked him around. The stabbing was gratuitous.

The “mother’s friend” who beat up the kid after catching him in the act is not being charged. That is defense. Stabbing him later on is NOT defense.

I’m not a big fan of coddling criminals–why the F was this kid free to molest someone else??–even if they’re sympathetic because they’re (lousy) mothers.

  12. mickey Says:

Heather-Radish, I think you are correct, but I don’t have any sympathy for child rapists. In fact, I think the odds of this mother ever stabbing a child rapist again are slim and none. I see no purpose in punishing the mother of a rape victim further. The rapist/victim is alive and breathing, he should be thankful.

  13. Leonard Says:

HeatherRadish makes the point very well. The 30-year-old man walked in on the 17-year-old and, in defending the 8-year-old “attacked the 17-year-old with objects that included a shovel and a house fan”.

According to police report as reported in The Sheboygan Press

“The girl’s mother entered the apartment with her boyfriend to attempt to stop the fight between the two, and afterwards learned what the fight was about. After the 30-year-old man left the apartment — leaving the mother and teen alone together — the mother picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the teen several times.

The release called the stabbing “an act of aggression” that was “not legally warranted to defend either the child or herself.”

I can excuse the 30-year-old man’s actions as necessary to defend the 8-year-old child. I would even excuse the mother if she had merely beat up the 17-year-old after confronting him. However, the stabbing goes too far.

Of course, the extreme circumstances must be taken into account. Don’t lock her up & throw away the key, but don’t turn a blind eye to her violent crime.

  14. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Looks like all the facts and times are not yet clear here. Heather says the rapist was stabbed after the mother had called police. If that’s right, she’s wrong. Not unsympathetic, but still wrong. If she was able to call the cops and make a report first, the stabbing was not a “reaction” but a somehwat more rational event.

Unfortunately, now we’re going to have to pay for 2 trials instead of just one.

  15. Ron Says:

Is ‘Sheboygan’ German for (Jerry) Springerland?

  16. mickey Says:

Yes Leonard we know already. He’d have a few slips and falls with you, and your moral superiority, then you’d turn him and yourself in, right?
This woman is NO danger to SOCIETY. ZERO, ZILCH, NADA.
If you could get the your hands on the rapist of your child, I would applaud you. You’re talking as if you’ve been there. Yes it might be a wee bit wrong, so I’d say to her. Naughty naughty mother. Good work.
Do you guys think these things happen in vacuums??? I can forgive the parent of a RAPED CHILD. Her actions are COMPLETELY understandable.

  17. Bruce Says:

First of all, I reported here when this first happened that the family had left the mother and the pedophile in the room alone together and somebody told me I was an idiot, trying to “represent myself as some higher authority”. Oh, little troll, where art thou?

Second, why would the family members leave these two in a room together unless they were hoping for some kind of UFC deathmatch? That’s just something that makes no sense to me.

  18. Joe Says:

Give her a job on the tatical child-rapist police force. Too bad her ‘victim’ lived. Eventually, this scumbag will end up in half-way house paid for by the tax payers in the name of ‘rehabilitation’.

  19. mickey Says:

Joe!! You are on to something!
She should be on the Tosa Teri Estness Task force vis a vis racial HARMONEE (Tosa residents will get it).
Michael McGee Jackson Jr. hugs for thugs blue ribbon commission!!!!
“Can’t we all just get along”.
Teri Estness is still Tosa’s Mayor!!

    An she has no shame.

  20. big_hairy_bubba Says:

I didn’t see the Tosa Teri Estness Task Force establishing any HARMONEE at yesterday’s hearing. I wonder if they’ll be attending the multiple trials.

  21. From the Hip Says:

Yep vigilante justice is just great! It’s always guilty until proven innocent when it comes to child molesters, isn’t it? Here’s another story about a fellow that took matters into his own hands and stabbed the “alleged” child molester to death:

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13415435/

Turns out there was absolutely no evidence to support the allegations made by his wife. Her psychiatrist now claims she was just suffering from post-partum depression when she told him she suspected their 2 year old was being molested. Yeah, I’m sure that’s why she was crying at the sentencing hearing – it has nothing to do with the fact that her meal-ticket err… husband is now being locked up for 12 years for stabbing an innocent guy to death. Great outcome!

For this “distraught mother”, I would fully hope for the same trial results although we all know that won’t happen. Women in this society are treated like irresponsible children and rarely held accountable for their actions. Just a slap on the wrist is what she has to look forward to. But the truth is, whether or not the 17yr old guy molested her daughter, her stabbing him is a criminal assault and could even be construed as attempted murder. To wrongs do not make a right.

  22. From the Hip Says:

*Two* wrongs do not make a right that is…

    http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/06/04/flashmob.lynchmob/

  23. Patrick Says:

How about comparing apples to apples, in this case, the 17 year old was caught in the act of molesting her 8 year old daughter minutes earlier. Also, she did not try to kill him… you don’t try to kill someone by stabbing them in the leg and arm.

  24. mickey Says:

From the hip?? If I caught someone molesting my son, and I beat him to death with anything I could get my hands on, and I would, I wouldn’t be attempting to make 2 wrongs a right.
I’d be making one “left” a corpse.
