Thugs once again took the life of a hard working man just trying to earn a living.

Milwaukee pizza delivery man shot
A 53-year-old pizza delivery man was fatally shot about 3 a.m. today and police have more than 10 people in custody, said Capt. David Zibolski.

The Milwaukee man, who has not been named pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead at the scene, Zibolski said. Zibolski would not answer any more questions about the incident, other than to say police had been called to the 1500 block of W. Hopkins St. for a disturbance, and found the body.

It’s a shame that Wisconsin’s liberals refuse to allow people like this to protect themselves. But folks like Jim Doyle would rather we remained unarmed victims. Of course the thugs by definition, don’t care about the law, so they remain armed.

Jessica reminds us of Andres Vegas, another pizza delivery man who twice used his hand gun to protect himself from violent robberies. He defended himself from the thugs, then he had to defend himself in court… That’s really screwed up! But if course, the Constitution means nothing to some people.

  1. mickey Says:

Jim Doyle has armed guards. This doesn’t affect him.

  2. Peter Says:

You couldn’t pay me enough money to do this guy’s job. Or a number just like it.

  3. Henry VIII Says:

Great idea, let’s put more guns on the street. Absolutely brilliant.

  4. Ron Says:

What seamless trail of logic you have brought forth, Hank.
Excellent thinking. Objective, sharp, and full of perspective.

  5. Henry VIII Says:

    Thanks, Ron. Back at ya!

  6. Matt Says:

It is ashame that a citizen has to die doing his job, a very hard job at that. Yet he has no way to protect himself because of a sick minded govenor.

Gee Doyle dose not seem to understand, the bad guys do not care about his rules. Rules and law only effect good citizens. No matter what gun laws you pass or do not pass, the bad guys will still be the only ones carrying. Great Job Doyle.

  7. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Let’s not be as screwed up in our thinking as Diamond Jim’s crowd. Concealed carry doesn’t mean this guy’s killers would be deterred, that this guy would have been carrying, or that he would be able to deploy and utilize a concealed weapon to protect himself. Granted that the odds of all these more desirable events are increased by concealed carry, it’s as far from a certainty as the “wild west” attitude the liberals postulate.

  8. mickey Says:

Henry the troll illustrates how brain dead leftists are.
He’s blathering on about “putting more guns on the streets”.
Those who use guns illegal already have them on the streets Hank. In the song, Henry the 8th got married to the widow next door. Ya think the widows hubbie was a Pizza delivery man who got offed by those already enjoying concealed carry???
Henry, criminals already carry. Criminals don’t obey laws.
Stopping concealed carry only stops LAW ABIDING CITIZENS from carrying.

  9. mickey Says:

B-h-b, 48 states have concealed carry. It requires a permit and education. Which of the 48 that have concealed carry has turned into South Vigilante??? None.
Liberals don’t blame criminals, they blame criminals tools.
Maybe if we outlawed cars, drunk drivers would go away.

  10. Leopold Stotch Says:

Henry is just an aging hippie liberal douche, don’t mind him.

  11. Peter Says:

    Henry,

I have two guns. The only threat they are to you is if you break into my house. Then you cash in your chips. If Don Doyleone trusted this guy enough to respect his 2nd Amendment rights, he might have had a chance to shoot back.

If you don’t want to own or carry a gun, that’s your choice. But don’t deny me my right to do so.

  12. mickey Says:

Peter, you don’t understand. More guns on the street equals more crime and death. It’s the guns that are the problem.
Henry is a troll, but peeps like Joel McNutty believe this tripe. We have 2000 sworn Milwaukee Police officers, each having a gun. No murders by MPD. We have 100 murders each and every year in Milwaukee, each is done by a criminal ILLEGALLY using a gun without regard to any laws. I should note that criminals carrying, concealing and using guns for murder is not stopped by making “concealed carry illegal”.
I submit a question to the liberals among us that object to concealed carry permits. How many murderers and thugs and 17 year old drop-outs and gang members do you LIBERAL stooges believe would even APPLY for such a permit?? Furthermore, if we already have 100 murders each year, in Milwaukee, why do you Liberal idiots think, LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, SHOULD NOT, be allowed to apply, take a course and pay for a license to protect themselves.
CODA: Are you liberals stupid enough to believe that those who, WOULD FOLLOW THE RULES, APPLY, GET EDUCATED AND PAY FOR A CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT, would increase the threat of RANDOM VIOLENCE??? Are you lefties really that stupid or are you drunk on the KOOL-AID?
    I know the answer.

  13. Matt M Says:

This is tragic news. Its these kinds of senseless killings of innocents that really get my blood boiling. Who knows if this man would have been inclined to carry, but the simple fact is that if he hadn’t been denied his 2nd Amendment rights he would have been able to make the choice for himself. Instead, Jim “Bingo” Doyle and his cronies in the state legislature decided for him, and they decided that they’d rather have him die than be able to carry a self defense tool that could have saved his life. His blood is on their hands as far as I’m concerned.

  14. mickey Says:

Matt. This type of murder happens too commonly. We as a society are so very QUICK to run from certain truths that are “inconvenient truths”. The demographics of those who commit THIS TYPE OF CRIME, are PATENTLY OBVIOUS. The “PROFILE”,of the person who WILL BE apprehended for this crime is completely predictable. Most of us know it viscerally.
    ILLEGAL GUNS WILL BE BLAMED.
We all know what the PROBLEM is, and WHY it is, BUT, we cannot say it. Nope. To say it is forbidden. To suggest HOW,WHO and WHY this continued problem exists, is NOT TO BE SPOKEN.
Imagine if we treated AIDS with this philosophy??
And we did, for a long time.

  15. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

I have no problem with concealed carry, but even with concealed carry there are neighborhoods through which I would not travel and jobs I would not do – pizza delivery and driving cab being just a couple of those jobs I would not do. That’s not to say violent crime can’t happen in a safe neighborhood, but in some neighborhoods it’s a way of life that I choose to avoid. Until such time as the Police Department (specifically Police Department administrators) stop merely being “appalled” at violent crime and start actually waging war on violent crime and criminals, these high crime neighborhoods are never going to change and innocent people living and working in these neighborhoods will continue to be shot and killed by urban terrorists.

  16. Scott Says:

Come on guys, hasn’t Doyle made it clear as to with whom his loyalties lie? In his view he believes there are too many thugs incarcerated as it is, so even if this guy had protected himself he would have still been in a world of hurt. Yes, it is so much better that average law abiding citizens die rather than be given the choice of being allowed to protect themselves as far as our state representatives, and Governor are concerned. Being one of only three states being denied this right should tell you that our representatives think law abiding Wisconsinites are incapable, perhaps even too stupid to be trusted with firearms, and maybe they are right because these same people who are keeping us from having this right restored to us keep getting re-elected.

  17. Henry VIII Says:

Wow. I post 2 lines, and all the insecurities come out. I had no idea that I said all those things that some of you claim I said. Sorry for “blathering on”, Mickey.

Don’t worry boys, I’m not trying to take away any constitutional rights. George Bush already has that covered.

More guns on the street do not deter violence, it’s as simple as that.

I wish that pizza guy could have turned the tables on those murderers. But having the right to have a gun, or even having a gun, would not have guaranteed anything.

Pete, I don’t care if you have guns. That’s Kool & The Gang. In fact, you help illustrate the point. Your post indicates that you only keep them in the house. I presume that this means you don’t carry them with you while you work.

Own your guns, boys. Just do everyone, including yourselves, a favor by leaving them at home unless you’re in the woods wearing blaze orange. Carrying guns doesn’t make anyone any safer, including the person carrying the gun.

  18. big_hairy_bubba Says:

I doubt most victims of crime find themselves in a situation where they could return fire during an attack were they only armed. That small number, if armed and willing, would be far safer than unarmed.

The biggest factor in personal safety for most of us is how aware we are of our surroundings and our relationship to them. That awareness is more likely to keep you ou of trouble than an entire armory. And yes Mickey, I do support concealed carry, I just don’t think it will cure all our ills.

  19. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

You’re absolutely right BHB. Situational awareness is the key. Lambs don’t understand that primarily because they are bred to only see the good in people. It would be nice if such a world existed.

  20. Dan Says:

“Carrying guns doesn’t make anyone any safer, including the person carrying the gun”
Tell that to all the p[eople who have had guns and had to shoot thugs and thankfully, put them down forever.

  21. milwhowie Says:

DOYLE LOGIC: Don’t allow concealed carry. Allow carrying concealed pizza so the killers won’t know that a pizza is being delivered. Why a restaurant allows deliveries to the ‘rectangle of death’ (central city) stuns me to no end. If such deliveries continue, have the deliveryman don a Doyle-image halloween mask and the murders and robberies will assuredly stop.

  22. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Howie, what we need to do is go back to having our guys make deliveries. If a few of these thugs got plugged word would get out fast.

  23. Peter Says:

Actually I do carry one with me in my car while I am at work. I fear the thug who doesn’t respect the law. A few thugs sent to take the Eternal Celestial Dirt Nap would make the world a better place.

  24. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Plugs for Thugs instead of Hugs for Thugs? How politically incorrect and insensitive!

  25. Ron Says:

The quote of this thread (Scott):
…our representatives think law abiding Wisconsinites are incapable, perhaps even too stupid to be trusted with firearms, and maybe they are right because these same people who are keeping us from having this right restored to us keep getting re-elected.

  26. dad29 Says:

I have no delusions about “quick-draw” to stop someone who already has a gun at my head.

But I have no doubt that if my situational awareness is working, “brandishing” is a VERY good way to make someone think about dying.

WELL over 90% of criminals run like hell if their intended vic pulls a gun. No shots need be fired, the innocent will not be harmed.

But someone will buy a new set of undies.

  27. Jamie Says:

Is it legal to carry a gun if you do not conceal it? For instance, I used to work out in Bishop’s Woods in Brookfield, I know the Blue Knight security company had guns on their sides when they patrolled.

  28. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Brandishing? If I have cause to pull a gun to defend myself or family, it will be brought to bear and discharged as soon as it clears the holster. I’ll take my chances with the law after that.

That’s where carrying guns gets people into worse trouble – some people are too quick to pull them and too slow to use them.

  29. Patrick Says:

Short answer, yes, it is “legal” to carry if it is not concealed, but you will instantly be arrested for disturbing the peace or some such thing

  30. Jamie Says:

    @Patrick –

Of course, that seems logical. (shaking head)

  31. Jeni Says:

    Quote:
Stopping concealed carry only stops LAW ABIDING CITIZENS from carrying.

I don’t know how anyone fails to understand that criminals don’t care about the law and do carry guns, shoot people and kill them — some of the victims, if they had chosen to, could have been carrying their own concealed weapon LEGALLY and could possibly survive a thug shooting. You know — those who respect the laws, pay taxes and actually contribute to society. Something thugs know nothing about.

  32. spanky Says:

Wake up boys your Goverment is breaking the law we all have a permit to carry concealed guns….. it is heavily guarded by the USMC in Washington DC its called the bill of rights carry your weapons like we do in the south you bye you a cheap 9mm, 38 ect…. if you use it to protect yourself its a misdemeanor the police wiil take your gun if you haft use it…. your out maybe 180 bucks the thug is dead your alive. I take a misdemeanor to the alternative anytime you have the right to keep and bear arms in your defence. dont show it unless your going to use it no one will ever know

  33. dad29 Says:

Big Hairy, the rules governing the use of deadly force are moral rules. The Houston TX case is (apparently) an example of NOT using the moral rules.

Shooting first is not a good thing. Period.

  34. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Some background on the victim (that would be the guy who got murdered by the thugs for those trolls who can’t figure out who the real victims are) from today’s Milwaukee Journal: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=694787. It doesn’t say as much, but you just have to know that the thugs shot this guy because he “disrespected” them.

  35. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Let’s try that link again: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=694787

  36. Dana Says:

Living near Omaha with the Westroads Mall shootings just strengthens my conviction; Numbers of victims and acts of this nature would decline if people were armed for self defense.

In Australia they used the Port Arthur massacre to remove weapons from the common law abiding citizen with no debate on whether the number would have been so high in this and other incidents if the victims were able to carry and conceal.

Now in Australia, one of the most violent in the western hemisphere, where the government is involved it is better to have a disarmed citizenry. You can see the same patterns occuring in the US.

What this will lead too? I will leave that to the conspiracy theorists.

  37. PCD Says:

I’ve done pizza delivery. While I whole heartedly support CCW, I don’t think it will help cabbies and pizza delivery guys all that much when the crook just shoots without giving the guy a chance to comply.

On the other side, the people who were involved in the shooting faced a quick execution for killers and people who actively aided the killers, and long prison terms at hard labor for the passive aiders, maybe things would change.

Please don’t go to the Omaha Westroads mall shooting. I get very emotional about it and I think my coworker and buddy is related to one of the victims, and he hasn’t been to work since the shooting.

  38. grumps Says:

Glenn, when you talk about sheep being the only victims are you specifically talking about the off duty officer at the Shell station over by the airport or are you talking about other sheep?

He had training and a weapon and, presumably, some situational-awareness. None of that helped him.

The testoterone-fueled raging in this comment thread presumes that somehow this middle-aged pizza delivery guy would have turned into some sort of Seagal-man and come out firing to be able to take down this crowd. Sorry, guys. This isn’t the case that makes your argument for you.

  39. David Says:

Using the logic of the leftists here we might as well take the guns away from cops as well. There is no guarantee that the officer being armed will save his life either.

  40. Dave_Sheboygan Says:

Noble Wray cheerleader and political hack David Blaska apparently doesn’t have a clue about crime in Madison.

    http://www.thedailypage.com/daily/article.

Blaska claims Wray’s Community Oriented Policy strategy is comparable to the broken windows theory of policing. Under Wray’s leadership, officers who have made numerous arrests have been ‘talked to’ by supervison.

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1853060/posts

Wray prefers a more “holistic” approach to policing, a strategy catering to community groups. Wray’s “holistic” approach is the antithesis of broken windows policing, which deals with unabashed holliginism by focusing on the minor problems creating disorder.

Could David “Blowhard” Blaska explain why per captia crime in Madison is at an all time high? Could it be that Noble Wray’s version of community oriented policing is a complete and utter failure? What about the low homicide clearnace rate in Madison, Mr. Blaska? Could politically correct promotions to the rank of detective be part of the problem? Why hasn’t the Kelly Nolan homicide been cleared? How can Wray champion the hiring of 30 additional cops out of one side of his mouth, but then advocate for diverting minority felony offenders from the criminal justice system?

This from a police chief who can’t come up with a plan to keep his own squad car from getting snowed in. Yikes…maybe Edward Flynn doesn’t look so bad after all.

  41. HeatherRadish Says:

That was the logic when they disarmed the police in the UK…

The scenario when CCW is allowed isn’t Steven Seagal, it’s that the young thugs think twice before calling for a pizza guy to rob/murder because they have no way of knowing if they’re going to get the pacifist wuss or the guy who’ll shoot back.

I’d solve the whole problem by refusing to deliver to neighborhoods where pizza guys get killed–hey, the USPS can refuse to deliver to select neighborhoods–but I assume that’s illegal in WI as well.

  42. bratty Says:

    I ditto what milwhowie said!

  43. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Grumps, this is what I said in my earlier comment: “Situational awareness is the key. Lambs don’t understand that primarily because they are bred to only see the good in people.”

Where do you read that I’m saying “sheep being the only victims”? And I wasn’t talking about the off-duty officer “at the Shell station over by the airport”. I’ve known good cops who became victims and have written about them on the Badger Blogger in the past. Situational awareness can greatly improve your ability to survive but is not a guarantee. It is however a key element to survival. Situational awareness coupled with the proper mindset to use deadly force when necessary makes your likelihood of survival even greater.

You wrote: ” He had training and a weapon and, presumably, some situational-awareness. None of that helped him.” This implies that somehow I think ALL cops know the concept of situational awareness. If you paid attention to my writings on this blog you’d know that, unlike others, I often distinguish between cops who seem to know their job and those who are just going through the motions. I don’t know which category this particular cop you’re talking about fits in as I don’t know him or his background on the job. I do know that there are a significant number of cops that I have been exposed to who are no more mentally prepared for these encounters than the lambs I referred to in my earlier comment. And get it out of your head that I’m somehow suggesting that when a thug has a gun pointed at you that you can somewhow quickdraw on him and kill him or do a Steven Seagal move and disarm him. What I am saying (and if you can get past your anti-gun, anti-ccw closed mind long enough to digest this) is that lambs are usually raised to see the good in people and are not usually exposed to this kind of thuggery early in their lives. They have not yet learned to identify the wolves and don’t understand the value of the sheepdog. Often times it takes exposure to a thug for one to understand that life isn’t a Disney movie and the bears will bite your hand off if you try to pet them. It’s wonderful to help people and try to see good in them but you need to understand that there are a significant number of takers out there who will see your act of kindness as nothing more than weakness and something to be taken advantage of. In many of our high crime neighborhoods, that is how it is and the good people living in those neighborhoods know that very well. It is the lambs who don’t, and they are usually people who don’t live in high crime neighborhoods or who have not yet been exposed to thugs.

Grumps, I once was a lamb too.

  44. Big T Says:

As usual the original post gets lost in the comment thread. I see two diametrically opposed groups here. One group offers no solutions while trying to condemn those who believe citizens should be able to defend themselves, with like force, from those who would shoot you for $20 or less. The other group has a potential solution that’s been tried in 47 other states and has made a positive difference.

To those who fear us going back to the “wild west days” How do you think the wild west was tamed?

  45. Dan Says:

Living in thew Wild West of Las Vegas, I have seen the effects of concealed carry. In the 1 1/3 years I’ve been here, there have been about 10 instances of a person with concealed carry or homeowners have put down the thugs who tried to rob them, break into their homes or businesses or attack the victim. There has not been one case of a person with a concealed weapon wrongfully shooting a thug.
It has changed my mind about CCW.

  46. Scott Says:

Dan, you’re going to confuse these Liberals. If there is one thing that holds little to no use for Liberals, it’s facts. They will more than likely argue that there has been an epiphany amoungst the thugs that crime doesn’t pay, before admitting they are DEAD WRONG on this subject.

  47. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Dad29 says Big Hairy, the rules governing the use of deadly force are moral rules. The first moral rule in my book is survival.

  48. big_hairy_bubba Says:

I’m with Glenn on the lambs and situational awareness. Neither wolves nor sheepdogs are infallible, but I’ve never seen “leg of canine” on a menu. You can’t turn a lamb into a canine by pinning a badge on his chest or putting a gun in his paw. And neither awareness nor firepower is infallible – the most you do is shift the odds.

  49. Larry Dallas Says:

An extremely violent weekend with multiple homicides while we have a card board cutout (Lurch) running our police department. The chief to be is nowhere to be found while the bodies are hitting the floor. This all occuring while the exhorbitant tax bills are being dropped on property owners. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?

I think I’ll spend my holidays elsewhere, and begin to look to the suburbs for a new residence.

  50. milwhowie Says:

Never fear you pc twits here. Us wary, observant and trained sheep dogs will doggedly try to protect your cowering jelly-filled, spineless masses. Just don’t get in the way of my barking .40 cal. or .44 special calmly aimed at whoever wants to harm you or your loved ones. We would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6. Governess Doyle cannot imagine how many solid citizens are defiant of his anti concealed carry drivel.

  51. dad29 Says:

    Survival’s good, Hairy.

    Sleeping well is also good.

  52. Patrick Says:

The fact is, guns are used hundreds of thousands of times each year by law abiding citizens, to prevent crime, and they usually don’t have to pull the trigger. Criminals are cowards, and if they think there is a good chance that the person they are confronting is armed, they look for a nice peaceful victim… Remember Christine Schweiger?

I could sit here and post story after story of people that used their guns to protect themselves, but some people don’t like to accept facts.

  53. mickey Says:

Hank the 8th said that carrying guns doesn’t make anyone safer. I beg to differ. The guys carrying guns who shot the Pizza delivery man, were much safer than him, and they were carrying.
Could the point be made any better?

  54. big_hairy_bubba Says:

The long dirt nap is reputed to be a sound sleep. I prefer to delay that experiment as long as possible. Exercise of deadly force won’t trouble my sleep, long as I feel in my own mind that it was justified. I’m just an old farmboy anyway, nobody special.

  55. Jamie Says:

I fail to see how licensed and trained armed people are going to be any more dangerous to innocent people than non-licensed and non-trained teenage thugs hopped up on drugs.

We need Joel McNally to weigh in with his logical retorts now and don’t forget Eugene Kane.

  56. mickey Says:

Joel McNutty believes that the WRONG people have been put away in the last couple generations. Because if the RIGHT (pun intended) people had been put away, we wouldn’t have all the crime we have. At one point, even the Urinal realized that Joel McFossil was a nut job. And fired him.
Libs believe guns cause crime. It’s a biased emotional illogical, head in the sand, unbalanced, unrealistic view of the world. I’ll give an example that only Mickey can.
If most of the victims of MILWAUKEE’S 100 plus murders are black. Then obviously being BLACK is the cause of the murders. Same logic. If only we had less “BLACK” on the streets, we’d have less dead blacks. The folly of such arguments is that one argument is moronic, the other is equally moronic, but NOT ALLOWED under liberal rules.

  57. Roland Melnick Says:

@HenryVIII: You said: “I wish that pizza guy could have turned the tables on those murderers.” Either you are a liar who really doesn’t give a rip about people who work under such conditions or you are just a typical liberal who can’t think logically. How do you propose he could have done that? All your “wishes” won’t change the fact that gun laws only prevent law abiding persons from carrying guns.

Grumps, without a gun, the delivery guy’s only hope was to become a larger than life Steven Seagal-type. Apparently you never noticed, but Seagal does most of his magic without a gun. You filthy libs really show how heartless you truly are on issues like this.

The reality is that criminals who want to run around with a gun committing crimes do so (on a daily basis in case you don’t read/watch the news). Yet somehow, people like HenryVIII and grumps think things will get worse if regular working folks are out there carrying a gun.

No one claims concealed carry is a cure-all. And maybe this poor guy wouldn’t have carried a gun even if he could have done so legally, but those of us who have true concern and empathy for people like him think he should have had the right to protect himself. Grumps and HenryVIII prefer to throw the sheep to the wolves and my guess is they don’t fear for their safety at work (assuming they do work).

  58. Roland Melnick Says:

And one more thing…I assume grumps’ reference to “testoterone-fueled raging” is another lefty reference to the “angry white male.” My response to that particular comment is “hell yeah I get angry when I hear a story like this!”

I think that is the perfectly normal reaction to learning about a man who had his life taken from him by a p.o.s thug for $20 and a pizza.

  59. PCD Says:

Lest I be mistaken for a anti-gun liberal, I think WI should have CCW for citizens who aren’t criminals as criminals are already carrying concealed weapons.

My brother carried in his car what he called “Hand Cannon”. It was. It was a 12 GA shot gun with a 18″ barrel, a pistol grip, no other stock, and an exposed hammer. Usually all he had to do was show the gun pointed at the miscreants crotch and cock the hammer to get the desired effect: A fleeing would be criminal with soiled pants.

  60. Bruce Says:

PCD makes a great point. Concealed carry isn’t about the use of the gun, it’s about the potential that the “innocent lamb” the thug is about to exploit may actually possess something that levels the playing field. And that equalizer is not something your governor (who is also a thug, but for some reason smiles a lot more than most street thugs, though admittedly his smile is slightly less “blingy”) believes you have a right to possess.

For as much as people bitch about Governor Doyle and the liberal democrats thumbing their noses at the taxpayers on concealed carry (and other issues), the piece of crap got re-elected in a virtual landslide, and no one even speaks of trying to organize a recall against him because they know there’s enough union thugs, shoddy engineering/consulting firms, and road builders who would rush to your Thugernors defense.

Governor Doyle is like that car dealer where everyone bitches about what a crappy deal they got, and their salesmen are schmucks, and their service department never gets anything fixed right… yet it’s the first place everyone goes running back to when it’s time to buy a new car because they’ve got a catchy commercial jingle. Wisconsinites love their inept liberals, and this place has turned into exactly what you’d expect it to when you give people like this power. A place where pizzas can’t even be safely delivered without the threat of losing ones life.

Good grief, what this place has become.

  61. Henry VIII Says:

Mickey, I see your point. Yes, the thugs had the upper hand, but you can argue that didn’t/doesn’t make them “safer” than anyone without a gun. Committing a crime doesn’t make you safe. They used their guns to perpetrate a heinous crime, but committing crime doesn’t make you safe. See my point?

Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner: I’m no liar, and I guarantee I think more logically than you. At least I can make a competent arguement without having to stoop to insulting people anonymously online. Let me know when you want to have an actual debate and not just spew your hatred of those who dare to think differently than you.

  62. Roland Melnick Says:

    Henry, you said:

“I wish that pizza guy could have turned the tables on those murderers.”

How do you propose some average pizza delivery guy do so?

  63. Peter Says:

Self defense is not a crime, nor should it be. Around here, we don’t dial 9-1-1. We shoot.

  64. Scott Says:

Peter, obviously you don’t live in politically correct Wisconsin, where the Governor thinks it’s the thugs who are being unfairly treated, and those who would dare protect themselves from becoming a victim of their actions are the ones who should be locked up. Liberals should never be allowed to hold any office above trash collector because their thought processes (as if they are even capable of cognizant thought) are so screwed up they have nothing but contempt for anything that has made America great. They are determined to destroy this country, and are not above treason to accomplish that mission. Liberals are ideologically bankrupt, and lack any morality. They are a greater threat to America than any communist ever was.

    Roland,

What Henry would have the pizza guy do is get the criminal eat the pizza and die.

  66. Roland Melnick Says:

I know what you mean PCD. I am waiting for HenryVIII to have an “actual debate” and demonstrate his powers of logical thinking. I guess it’s my fault that I suggested he might be a liar in my earlier post (#57), but there was plenty of substance to that same post which he chose to ignore.

HenryVIII, sorry I suggested you are either a liar or a harebrained liberal.

Now, do you care to respond to post 62 or the rest of post 57?

Even the the middle of a snow storm, crime didn’t take a vacation in Madison. There were two home invasion robberies, probably related to the drugs.

A decade ago, Money Magazine named Madison America’s number one place to live. Now it’s become Milwaukee junior.

    Dave_Sheboygan,

There’s more going on in Madison than most would ever believe… or than the media would ever look into.

I believe it was you who urged me to look into a certain police chief’s after hours activities in a certain larger city 60 miles to the east. Well, it only took the City of Milwaukee 3 months to respond to my open records request, but rest assured, the often told “missing property” tale is more than a rumor. The inventory control number provided by a poster here at Badger Blogger is valid, and the timeline is accurate.

If any of you want to confidentially help me start putting the pieces together on this one, tips@badgerblogger.com
