The over 1600 people in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District who signed Kevin Barrett’s election paperwork to run for U.S. Congress must be so very proud.
According to a press release on the Barrett for Congress website, upon concluding his interview today (a joint appearance with another “congressional candidate”, Dave Redick) on Madison’s WORT-FM‘s A Public Affair program, Barrett turned in roughly 1600 signatures to the Wisconsin Elections Board; 600 more than the required 1000 to be listed in the upcoming primary as a Libertarian candidate seeking to unseat Democrat incumbent Ron Kind.
And so, I bring you Dr. Kevin Barrett, apparently now an “official” candidate for U.S. Congress in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, in his own words, today on Madison’s WORT-FM:
“I think everybody who’s been paying attention in the past several years knows that the 9-11 Commission Report was a fraud, a farce, a blatant obvious cover-up, and that we need a real investigation of the biggest crime ever to happen on American soil, we haven’t had one yet. And there’s no real debate about that. So, there should be a virtually unanimous level of support for having a new 9-11 investigation, and I intend to marshal that support.”
Kevin Barrett, in his own words today on WORT-FM, on the “true message” of his congressional campaign:
My first message is to “end the war”, to stop Ron Kind from continuing to put our soldiers over there in harm’s way and to slaughter the million-plus Iraqis who have been killed in this illegal, immoral, Nazi-style war of aggression.”
Self-proclaimed “congressional candidate”, Dave Redick, who kept shamelessly self-promoting his website, forward-usa.org, yet never really pointed out which congressional seat he was running for, apparently could not allow himself to be out-whacko’d, and chimed in with the following:
“I support what Kevin said, we must always remember that 9-11, in my judgment, was conjured, assisted, facilitated by the Bush regime… Maybe they didn’t originate the idea, but I have no doubt they knew about it, and I have no doubt that those buildings fell from controlled demolition. I don’t care how you fake photos, you can’t fake that pile of rubble all in one heap with small pieces. That can only happen with controlled demolition.”
The only person who apparently didn’t want to declare his allegiance as a “truther” in today’s WORT-FM interview was John Lennon, but that’s OK… according to Kevin Barrett’s website, Lennon has already endorsed Barrett’s congressional campaign. This dude just gets stranger and stranger.
Madison radio. Never a dull moment. You can download the audio of Barrett’s appearance on Madison’s WORT-FM at this link. Barrett’s comments begin at 11:38 into the program.
(If you’d prefer to stream the audio from the WORT-FM website, you can do so at this link.)

Bruce,
Dave Redick is actually challenging Tammy Baldwin in the 2nd Congressional District…as a Republican. Do recall, that Redick ran in the 2006 GOP Primary and then dropped out claiming some insane conspiracy or something.
Of course, only Dave Redick could make a Lorge look sane.

You know, I’ve listened to the audio of the interview a couple times, and (unless I’m missing something) they never really made it clear which congressional district Redick was a candidate for. Neither does his own website, which I’ve just updated my original post with in the content above ^^
Thanks, Kevin, for the clarification. I couldn’t figure out exactly what Redick’s role was.
Doesn’t change Kevin Barrett’s focus, that’s pretty clear. His comments are transcribed verbatim, and the audio to back them up should be clear to anyone interested.

How many of the 1600 are space aliens?

He’ll fit right in if he’s elected.

I look forward to them blaming the “Obama regime” when the next terrorist attack happens.

Yikes! I may never say this again.
I agree with Amy. The difference between intelligence and lunacy is that intelligence would appear to have a limit.
The Redicks and Barrets have been with us and always will be.
