    So what? Obama will raise government spending through more government welfare/grant programs. McCain will raise government spending through perpetuating our ongoing occupation of foreign lands. Reagan also raised government spending despite his rhetoric (raising the government debt from $700 billion to $3 trillion in his administration). I’m not voting for any candidate who will raise government spending = aka I’m not voting for either McCain or Obama as neither is trustworthy.

    Really Patrick? This is beyond laughable. John McCain has absolutely 0 credibility on these issues. He helped George Bush triple the size of the federal government over the last 2 presidential terms. The reason the Congress is Democratic at all is because Republicans totally reneged on their promise to limit the size of government.

    If you truly believe in the things idealized in that video, then you’d consider a vote for Bob Barr, who actually believes in shrinking government. It’s a better bet than either Obama or McCain.
