If you are reading this via BlogNetNews.com, please be advised that this is being done against my expressed wishes

He ventured forth to bring light to the world The anointed one’s pilgrimage to the Holy Land is a miracle in action – and a blessing to all his faithful followers

And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.

The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.

  1. HeatherRadish Says:

The original messiah was brutally tortured to death about three years into his ministry. I’m pretty sure Obama isn’t prepared to go that far on our behalf, no matter how much he believes what they’re saying about him on TV.

  2. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

And a child shall lead them.

  3. Peter Says:

According to the Cult of Obama, He is the original Messiah. I’ve been looking for the nail prints in his hands but so far I cannot locate them.

Personally, I’ll go with him being the Antichrist. The similarities between his ascent to power and that of the Antichrist character in the apocryphal Left Behind series is uncanny.

  4. Jeni Says:

Personally, I’ll go with him being the Antichrist.

Took the word right out of my keyboard, Peter! ;)

  5. AB Says:

Wow, Peter and Jeni, what an outstanding contribution you’ve made to political discussion in this country. Obama is the Antichrist. I hope that we can find more people with your stunning intellect to help advance the conservative movement. All it will take is a few more nuggets of wisdom like that and we’ll be able to show the left the error of their ways.

  6. Peter Says:

Anyone who wants to subject the U.S. to world government and the control of the U.N. is just advancing that agenda.

And I can outthink you over the table as well as drink you under it. Go crawl back under your rock.

  7. Peter Says:

Keep going with your orgasms over your Chocolate Jesus, the Messiah.

  8. AB Says:

The funniest part is you think I’m an Obama supporter (Well, that just barely makes the cut over your chest-thumping about drinking me under the table. What are we, 20 year old frat boys?). No, I’d just prefer that conservatives actually made insightful arguments to influence people to make better informed decisions, and not just call names like a child. But go ahead, dazzle me with your superior mind. “Outthink” me. So far you’ve called Obama the Antichrist and inaccurately suggested he wants to “subject the US to world government.” I’m very impressed, please honor us with more of that insight.

Hmm, “Chocolate Jesus”, where have I heard that before? Ahh, you must be Peter from the Texas Hold-em blog. Well, maybe I should wander over there and read some of your insightful work. Here’s a gem: “Barack Hussein Obama may claim world citizenship, but I won’t. I am a United States citizen only. I am not a part of it either. I’ll just worry about myself. F**k the world.. And everyone else who lives in it.”

Wow, you were right, you sure can outthink me. I could only dream of coming up with wisdom like that. Remind me again, why is Obama’s middle name relevant to anyone other than intellectual children without anything of real substance worth saying? And why is it that Ronald Reagan also introduced himself as a “citizen of the world”?

  9. gus Says:

AB, that was an awesome link that you provided. Nearly half way through his first elected term as President of the United States, Ronald Reagan lectures the U.N. and extolls the virtues of America. He didn’t ramble on about our flaws our faults and our duties. He doesn’t apologize to anyone for anything. He doesn’t wring his hands and he doesn’t pander. He is patriotic and clearly loves America.
He talked the talk and walked the walk.
    Obama is no Reagan.

  10. AB Says:

Clearly Obama is no Reagan, and I’m not comparing him to Reagan. I’m merely pointing out how silly it is for Peter to criticize Obama for referring to himself as a “citizen of the world”.

  11. Jeni Says:

Well, thank you very kindly, AB. ;)

  12. Peter Says:

    AB,

Was the ground cold when you crawled out this morning? I don’t care one iota what the French, surrender monkeys, or the Krauts or the Muzzies think of us. I ju8st want them bombed into submission and destroyed. Go live in Europe and enjoy your sharia law. You miserable anti American turd.

  13. Peter Says:

I am no world citizen. The Messiah wants to be president of the world. Screw the rest of the Muzzie appeasing world. And you too.

  14. AB Says:

Well gee whiz, I knew I wasn’t exactly up against Einstein, but I didn’t know it would be this easy. It’s too bad, I thought maybe, just maybe, I was talking to someone who had something intelligent to say and we could actually discuss real issues, but apparently all you’ve got is hateful, incoherent babbling. Let’s see, so far I’ve said that referring to presidential candidates as the Antichrist is childish and contributes nothing to the discussion, and pointed out that Reagan also referred to himself as a citizen of the world, and somehow that makes me “anti-American”. Your capacity for logic is truly stunning, I feel honored to be in the presence of such dazzling intellect. Through all of this what remains the funniest thing of all is that you assume that I’m anti-American, a liberal, and an Obama supporter. The idea that someone could disagree with your stunted worldview without being a bleeding-heart pinko commie apparently never crossed your mind.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’ve been doing some of that heavy drinking that you’re so proud of.

The scariest part of all this is that you’re allowed to teach children.

  15. AB Says:

By the way, I want to apologize to Patrick. I had no idea this would turn into such a hateful and nasty thread, but I have kept it civil, which is more than I can say for our classy friend Peter.

  16. Peter Says:

Go worship your Chocolate Jesus. I know you think he walks on water and is the Chosen One to save us. He’ll never be anything other than a crooked Chicago machine politician to me.

Go crawl back under your rock, you arrogant smarmy piece of human debris.

  17. AB Says:

And the classiness keeps on shining through. What a sad little man.

  18. Peter Says:

Yea, you lefties are the paragon of “class.” All the hate directed at us simply because of our viewpoints.

  19. AB Says:

You are delusional. So now not only do you incorrectly think I’m a “lefty”, but I am also somehow responsible for hateful speech from other people, despite the fact that the only hatred being expressed here is by you. It is truly amazing the way your mind works.

  20. TomK Says:

extra points should be awarded for working “smarmy” into the post

  21. gus Says:

AB is now playing the victim and attempting to manipulate Patrick. AB, after you apologized to Patrick for the thread turning nasty, you continued on and called Peter a “sad little man”. So much for keeping it civil.

  22. Sheboygan Insider Says:

Wow, AB! I don’t visit this blog often, but you’ve actually made this particular visit worthwhile.

By the way, if you were to visit Jeni’s blog, you would find that she doesn’t have a problem with the “N” word because it was in her grandmother’s cookbook. That’s just one example of the “dazzling intellect” she shares with Sheboygan.

  23. AB Says:

Playing the victim? This whole thing makes me laugh. I apologized to Patrick because I had no idea that calling out Peter on his nonsense would make him go completely unhinged. I don’t know Patrick, but I’m guessing he’d rather not have the kind of invective spewed by Peter on his website. I figured it would end there but Peter just had to come back for one more round of vitriol, which is apparently the only way he knows how to deal with being confronted. If you want to think that is “manipulating” be my guest. It is always easier to just assume ulterior motives when you don’t agree with someone.

And if you can’t see the difference between calling someone a “sad little man” (and what other way is there to describe a grown man who has a completely childish name-calling meltdown like Peter did?) and saying the things Peter has said I can’t help you. That’s not incivility, that’s just stating a fact.

And it’s still hilarious that he insists on believing I’m an Obama supporter just because I think it’s childish to call him the Antichrist and keep bringing up his middle name. It just doesn’t compute for him that you can defend a politician from ridiculous attacks while simultaneously disagreeing with their politics.

  24. gus Says:

AB, you’re melting. Try to be more civil K?

  25. Sheboygan Insider Says:

I can’t believe Patrick even allows the kind of hate-mongering coming from that clown.

But then again, look at how long it took him to ban “Mickey . . . “

  26. Patrick Says:

And look how long it is taking for me to ban you…

  27. AB Says:

Whatever you say gus. If you want to defend a guy who acts like Peter be my guest.

  28. Patrick Says:

Sometimes it pays to check the spell check

  29. gus Says:

AB, I haven’t defended Peter in any way. I was rejecting your illogic. I have commented on you and not Peter.

  30. AB Says:

    freudian slip? :)

  31. Peter Says:

The Left is the bastion of the hate and incivility on the Internet. And anyone who defends Osama bin … Osama Obama … Obamamama (by the way, those are the words of Ted “The Swimmer” Kennedy, the Senator from Chappaquiddick, after a three Chivas Regal lunch) is a lefty. Whether they want to admit it or not.

  32. Peter Says:

By the way, the Left and the Drive By Media is the one who brought all this on, by raising Barack Hussein Obama to the level of Savior, of Messiah, the Chocolate Jesus … with its fawning coverage, reporters acting like preteen girls at a Jonas Brothers concert (“He touched me!!! I’ll never wash that hand again!”) and the endless magazine covers with his Christ-like visage, some even complete with halo.

Spare me the sanctity. He’s nothing but a race-baiting, corrupt politicians from the extreme fringe of the 1960s … an appeasement monkey ready to treat the enemy as an equal for nonconditional talks during a time of war.

Heck, he’d have probably had nonconditional talks with the Nazis and the Japs during WWII as well. There’s nothing the Left will fight for.

  33. AB Says:

Peter: The Left is the bastion of the hate and incivility on the Internet.

And your point is? Way to stoop to their level. You pull out the “They did it first!” defense and then wonder why I call you childish.

Peter: Anyone who defends Obama is a lefty

And there goes that Nobel-caliber logic again.

Peter: various nonsensical rambling about the media and Nazis

Yeah! Obama would have surrended to the British! Obama fought with the VietCong! Obama eats babies and called my grandma a whore!

  34. Jeni Says:

AB, Peter is running circles around you (Go Peter GO!) – you really are starting to sound quite foolish. If you’re so proud of your stance and so sure you’re so right, why are you hiding behind a cloak of anonymity?

  35. gus Says:

    Nobel-logic???
Al Gore won the Nobel Peace prize. Yassar Afarat won the Nobel Peace prize.
Tell us more about Nobel-logic AB.

  36. AB Says:

If clearly showing how someone’s logic and reasoning abilities are both terribly flawed is foolish then I could see how you think he’s “running circles”. I don’t begrudge anyone the ability to be embarrassingly wrong, so feel free to keep right on believing such nonsense.

Jeni, let’s hear you make a reasoned and intelligent case for any of these things:

    1. How Barack Obama’s (who I do not support and will not be voting for, no matter how many time our resident Einstein repeats it) middle name is at all relevant to the discussion
    2. How calling Obama the Antichrist is anything other than childish name-calling that does nothing to contribute to political discourse
    3. How stooping to the level of the people one claims to despise by engaging in nothing other than name-calling and hatred is a useful and mature tactic, and why “the Left does it” is good defense of such tactics.
    4. How the mentality of “I don’t care about the rest of the world, I want them bombed into submission and destroyed” is a good point of view.
    5. How anything I’ve said or done is “Anti-American” as Peter has claimed I am.

Do those things and then you can claim I look foolish, or that he is “running circles” around me. Otherwise it is just empty rhetoric, you know, the kind Obama likes to use.

As for anonymity, I don’t have a blog. You want my name? It’s Aaron. I live in Milwaukee. I’m not a liberal, and I don’t support Obama. Should I post my address and social security number next?

  37. anonymousinsider Says:

I’m fascinated by all the repeated calls for anonymous people to “identify themselves” on this blog. HOW would you know if any of them were telling the truth? How do we know that you are who you say you are? It’s the internet, people!

I made the mistake of actually saying who I was, years ago when I ran my own progressive webpage (before I was in a sensitive employment position) and I got constant threats from web wackos. So I understand completely why someone isn’t gonna give you directions to their house or clues to who they are.

And, AB makes some good points. Let’s see if Peter can respond to them without calling AB the Antichrist. ;)

  38. gus Says:

Hello Aaron, could you tell me more about sad little men and Nobel-logic? You are filled with rhetoric yourself AB. This isn’t a popularity contest between you and Peter. You do make some valid points, other points you make are not so valid.
You seem to have a higher opinion of yourself than you’ve earned imho. I suggest you tone down your smarminess and rhetoric a wee bit and you’ll get more respect. You aren’t evil, you’re just a little full of yourself. Nice to meet you Aaron.

  39. Peter Says:

You have resorted to the Left’s bastion of personal childish attacks. You are clearly a lefty, no matter how you try to deny it. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.

Nothing but a sanctimonious self-righteous lefty. If indeed you are on my side politically, which I highly doubt, it’s why we lose time and time again.

The Left side of the blogosphere is nothing but a fetid, festering sewer of hatred, racism, bigotry, etc., directed at conservatives. They’ve advocated censorship, shutting down viewpoints of anyone who disagrees with them, resorted to sending people out to speeches and other functions to disrupt and shout down anyone who disagrees with them. Heck, some have even called for Nuremburg-style trials for anyone who dares to disagree with them over issues such as global warming.

They will use the (Un)Fairness Doctrine to silence speech on the radio and have tried and will continue to use campaign finance reform to shut down blogs with opposing viewpoints.

Especially with Barack Hussein Obama, the Second Coming of Christ, the Chocolate Jesus, the Messiah, the Anointed One, is elected by acclamation in November.

By the way, I think Jeni is referring to you not having a blog but rather resorting to being a parasite here.

  40. Peter Says:

By the way, I believe it was the PuffHo columnist who called for the death of Dick Cheney. And it was a taxpayer funded commentator who wished that Clarence Thomas\’s wife would feed him lots of bacon, egss and other high cholesterol products so he\’d die of heart disease like other black men.

Want more venom? Go check out the Kos Kids and the DUmmies. Or see what the British leftards are saying about Margaret Thatcher these days.

  41. AB Says:

You have resorted to the Left’s bastion of personal childish attacks.

    Wow, pot kettle anyone?

The hell I have. Calling someone out for faulty logic is not a personal attack.

You are clearly a lefty, no matter how you try to deny it. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.

You keep setting them up on a tee for me. Do you really believe such ridiculousness? Ok, I’ll use your reasoning. Gorillas have two legs and two arms. You have two legs and two arms. You must be a gorilla. Terrorists want to bomb their enemies into submission. You want to bomb your enemies into submission. You must be a terrorist.

You may want to look into these things called logical fallacies. In particular the one known as affirming the consequent, which is what you keep doing so egregiously here. I would expect that someone who teaches children about computers would understand basic logic.

If indeed you are on my side politically, which I highly doubt, it’s why we lose time and time again.

Yeah! If we just had more conservatives calling Obama Chocolate Jesus we could turn this thing around! Get McCain’s campaign manager on the phone, what we need is more bloggers who will blow people’s minds with fantastic insight into how Obama is the Antichrist!

I’ve honestly never witnessed such lunacy before. I’ve never seen a person who will just completely ignore any semblance of reason or logic and just say, “You don’t like what I said? You must be a !”

  42. AB Says:

Whoops, forgot to close the italics, should have had a in there.

That’s great Peter. People at the DailyKos say stupid and hateful things. I don’t think that’s news to anyone. And this has to do with me how? Do you know what mature and intelligent people do when they see that? They condemn the hatred, and don’t respond in kind. I see the terrible things that they say and can easily dismiss them. It’s not even worth the effort it takes to reply to them. But when people on your own side do it you should call them on it, because it does nothing but harm the cause. You’re doing an injustice to conservatism by stooping to their level, and then continually trying to defend it with “oh yeah, look what they do!” That’s what children do, not people who claim to be great thinkers.

  43. MoreRightThanYou Says:

“The Left is the bastion of the hate and incivility on the Internet.” – Peter

Peter, so you differentiate yourself from the Left by mimmicking their behavior and accuse others of sympathizing with them if they refuse to?

While politically we may see eye-to-eye, I’m not quite following your logic here.

  44. Jeni Says:

    From Rush’s quick hits:

“There is a new song by the rapper Ludacris (his real name is Chris Bridges) supporting Obama. In this song, Ludacris calls Hillary a b-i-itch, says that McCain should be paralyzed and that Bush is mentally handicapped. Now, Obama likes this guy — and, ladies and gentlemen, Obama met with him in his Chicago office in November of 2006 to discuss running in ’08.”
    http://rushlimbaugh.com/

    AB said:
I’ve honestly never witnessed such lunacy before. I’ve never seen a person who will just completely ignore any semblance of reason or logic …

Yes – apply that to the above, direct from the left.

anonymousinsider – I truly understand that some people feel their reasons for keeping their identity hidden are vital and fine, each to their own. My problem with it lies in the fact that our society has reached a point where people have to be afraid to say what they’re feelings or thoughts are. In a truly free society when due respect to all is shown (pipe dream, I know), no honest, law-abiding citizen should have to fear losing their job, friends, home, what-have-you for simply stating their heartfelt beliefs, much less for standing up for them.

When I read the Federalist papers and realize how open those great men were about their stalwart, unbending belief in freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, I find the necessity of anonymity to be a place we shouldn’t be in. Their writings are still there long after their gone for all to read and learn from and I bet not a one of them would ever have thought to feel fear or shame at disclosing their identity. That’s why it troubles me.

    Bit I digress.

  45. Jeni Says:

PS. We’ve lost the art of respect for one another that they taught us by example. Or tried to anyway.

And that should be, “BUT I digress”, sorry for the typo.

  46. anonymousinsider Says:

    Jeni,
I agree with you, and as much as I would like to say who I am, I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to do so. Partly because of the respect I have for my boss (and my desire not to have any of MY words be attributed to him), and partly because of my past experiences. Unfortunately, they have led me to believe sometimes people will threaten those who disagree with them just because they fear articulate, sane people on the other side.

I’m sure that, as a blogger, you know exactly what I’m talking about. And I hope you believe me when I tell you that almost every opinion I’ve expressed on this board I also express in public or at my job on a daily basis. :)

  47. Sheboygan Insider Says:

If you value your anonymity, you won’t give Jeni ANY inkling of your true identity. This evil woman will make stuff up about you if she can’t find real dirt.

  48. Patrick Says:

Sheboygan Insider, go somewhere and get a life.

  49. Sheboygan Insider Says:

I have a life. Don’t tell me what to do.

What are you afraid of that you need to run me off?

  50. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Sheboygan Insider – she still won’t go out with you, huh?

  51. Jeni Says:

anonymousinsider, I totally respect that – and I do believe you mean what you say and say what you mean, online or in public. Some of my closest friends are in a similar position as you and I understand their reasons which, I imagine, aren’t much different than yours.

I’ve been “hanging out” here a long time now and read many a post of yours, and you have a stellar personality and respectful way of stating your thoughts and I’ve grown to respect your posts a lot – and you, whoever you are. ;) Actually, I find your user name intriguing… ;)

  52. Jeni Says:

big_hairy_bubba we must have been posting at the same time… that was funny. :D

  53. anonymousinsider Says:

I’m glad we were able to turn this into a positive thread. ;) Group hug?

Okay, maybe not all of us are down with that.

  54. gus Says:

anonymousinsider, I don’t generally agree with your politics or your view of things, but, I believe you are a good and decent person. I’m sure of it. I don’t believe you are a nut or a lib kool-aid drinker. You are however liberal, and I’m not trying to be perjorative in saying that to you.
You have excellent values, and you care. You must be a great friend and professional in your field. You have high ideals, and I believe often times too high ideals.
But you are class. At the risk of taking this hug-a-thon too far, I believe you are classy despite your liberal leanings, and I fully understand that people of good will can disagree, but most liberals are intolerant tools. Most liberals today are not living in the real world, and most of them are not kind, classy nor decent. They are angry post-modern-hippies, who can’t abide a contrary opinion.
    You are decent.
    God bless you.
And God bless Jeni. Jeni is conservative, as I am, but, I don’t always agree with Jeni. But, I believe Jeni has been swimming upstream against a Sheboygan city admin and mayors office, that is self serving, corrupt, co-opted, and clearly not servants of the people. So naturally “insiders” want Jeni beat down.
That makes me loyal to her.

  55. Sheboygan Insider Says:

    big_hairy_bubba,

Answer me this. What reason could someone possibly have to try to provoke others into coming out of their “cloak of anonymity” on a blog? Why should SHE care, hmmmmmm?

Ohhhh, the stories I (and a number of others around these parts) could tell you about the insane measures Jeni has taken toward people whose identities she’s outed, or thought she outed, or tried to out.

  56. gus Says:

Notice Sheboygan Insider asks rhetorical questions as is typical of liberal losers.
Why would XYZ theorhetically do ABC……

Sheboygan Insider is a troll. Clearly Sheboy, hates Jeni, knows whom Jeni is, and doesn’t have the balls to confront Jeni without hiding.

I’ll put it this way. Sheboygan Insider, Jeni is known. We all know who she is, for good or for bad.

Why are you hiding and attacking from the sidelines??

Answer: Because you are not honest, because you are a coward, and mostly because you are a troll.

The only conclusion that is logical is that Sheboygan Insider is afraid to confront Jeni unless S.I. can hide.
    Jeni isn’t hiding.
    You are.

    Why? Weak. Pathetically weak.

  57. Sheboygan Insider Says:

Well, gus, then I guess you would have no problem coming out from behind YOUR “cloak of anonymity.” Let’s see it.

And don’t even think of questioning my honesty. Unlike your hero, I can actually back my accusations with PROOF and witnesses (legitimate witnesses, not people like you).

  58. Peter Says:

    AB,

I am finished arguing with you based on this old saw:

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

And Lord know you have enough experience.

Now go enjoy your man-crush on The Anointed One.

  59. MoreRightThanYou Says:

    AB,
If it makes you feel any better, I understand your point. All the hyperbole and insults are not very becoming,IMO.

I’m sure you are no lefty. You are a decent conservative who refuses to abandon your moral values just to make the libs look bad.

    Good for you!

  60. gus Says:

Sheyboygan Insider. You can prove nothing. You are a coward. You attack women while hiding. You’re afraid of your own shadow.

  61. Prosqtor Says:

Interesting they mention the Federalist Papers, which we now know were written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay — but which were published at the time by “Publius.”

Even the “Anti-Federalist Papers” were anonymous, most of the articles were initially written by “Brutus”, “Centinel”, and “Federal Farmer”.

    ;)

  62. MoreRightThanYou Says:

“You are a coward. You attack women” – gus

If you really believe that a man attacking women is cowardly, I believe you’ve exonerated Sheboygan Insider and condemned yourself.

Thanks for the “I can’t operate on this boy, he’s my son” moment.

  63. AB Says:

Of course you are done Peter. Because you’ve never actually argued anything, you’ve merely ignored every point I’ve made, dodged my questions, and responded to anything I’ve said with more rambling about lefty blogs and pointless speculation about what Obama would have done in WWII. I’ve come across some very unintelligent people in my life, but I’ve never seen someone who will completely ignore the issue a hand and just continue ranting incoherently against some imaginary villain. The entire conversation can be summed up like this:

    P: Obama is the antichrist
    A: That’s a dumb thing to say
P: You’re an ignorant lefty! You have orgasms for Obama! I can drink more alcohol than you!
A: I’m not a lefty, I don’t like Obama, how about you address the actual point
P: You’re a lefty! Obama wants world government! Chocolate Jesus!
A: What stunning insight. Stop babbling and try to form a coherent thought. I’m defending him from childish attacks, but I still don’t like Obama.
P: You love Obama! You love Obama! Various personal insults
    A: Stay classy Pete
P: You know who’s not classy? Lefty bloggers. They say mean things. You’re a lefty! You hate America!
A: What a sad little man
gus, completely ignoring Peter’s comments: Hey, you called him sad little man, you’re not civil
P: The left says mean things. You say mean things. You must be a lefty. The media loves Obama! He would have negotiated with Hitler!
A: Still waiting to hear why I’m responsible for lefty bloggers. How about instead of imitating them you take the high road. It would be better for the conservative movement.
P: OMG you’re such an idiot I won’t even respond to you anymore

  64. jamie Says:

    AB –

In general ignore the logical fallacy, ad hominem included.

  65. Jeni Says:

    Thanks gus – very much.

“I don’t always agree with Jeni.”

It would be a boring world if we agreed on everything, wouldn’t it! ;) A little respectful disagreement can make for some very interesting and enlightening conversations. Helps a person see things from a perspective they may not have otherwise taken note of, too. That’s why I like to read others thoughts – I learn. I may not always be swayed into agreeing with another’s line of thought, but at least can come to understand it and see their point of view.

I like the group I’m “hugging”…even when we disagree. :D

  66. AB Says:

And oh boy, I missed this great one from gus:

    Nobel-logic???
Al Gore won the Nobel Peace prize. Yassar Afarat won the Nobel Peace prize.
Tell us more about Nobel-logic AB.

Well gus, I’ll break out the handpuppets for you. There just so happens to be other Nobel prizes besides the Nobel Peace prize (which is very different from the other ones, and is highly politicized and not meaningful at all, Exhibit A for that being Yasser Arafat of course). It is one of the highest honors one can receive for achievements in various academic disciplines, and hence it conveys prestige and is generally viewed as a sign of great intelligence. That is why it is sometimes used a figure of speech to denote intelligence as I used it above. Why you would think this has anything to do with the peace prize is beyond me, but I guess it’s because you just had no idea about the overall idea of the Nobel Prize. It’s usually best not to comment on things you don’t know much about. But thanks for playing.

  67. gus Says:

AB, you need to grow up. You’re making an ass of yourself.

  68. AB Says:

So I see you’ve adopted the Peter strategy of completely ignoring the point when you’ve been shown the error of your ways and instead attacking the person. Your comment about the Nobel peace prize made no sense at all, why don’t you try to defend it instead of just name-calling?

    Answer this for me gus:

Why would you have brought up the Nobel peace prize as an argument against me saying “Nobel-logic”?

Where in anything I’ve said here have I demonstrated “illogic” as you said before?

I’ll gladly admit when I’m wrong about something, but you’ll need to have a real argument and not just empty conjecture. Try just one time to show how something I’ve said is incorrect. I’ve pointed out very clearly where people have made comments that don’t make sense, and I’ve called people out for resorting to the very tactics they claim to abhor. If that makes me “arrogant” or “full of myself” like you’ve said then guilty as charged. Being arrogant doesn’t make you wrong. If you don’t like my style of debate that’s fine, but if you’re going to say I’m wrong about something then prove it. That’s not too much to ask.

  69. Sheboygan Insider Says:

I see Peter is up to his censorship shenanigans again.

Why do you feel the need to protect Jeni so much, Peter?

Why do you allow the Sheboygan admin. to be defamed here by Jeni and Gus, but no one can even hint that Jeni is involved in “shenanigans” of her own, hmmmmmmm?

  70. gus Says:

Like I said AB, you are a child making an ass of yourself.
You made an ass of yourself when you used the term Nobel-logic. I illustrated quite easily how the Nobel committee is not the paragon of logic. Your rhetoric was kicked to the curb. But like the whining baby that you are, you continue.
Grow up AB. You aren’t impressing anyone.

  71. Peter Says:

I have never censored anyone. I refuse to debate with an idiot … and apparently that includes you as well.

So now we have two manure-for-brains morons. Enjoy each other’s company. You make a nice pair of turd merchants … or just plain turds.

  72. gus Says:

Sheboygan Insider, put down the crack pipe.
Show me noe instance in which I defamed you and the rest of the clowns in Sheboygan government. Just one, you blithering idiot.
BTW, you are just a troll.

  73. AB Says:

No gus, all you illustrated was that are you are clueless about the Nobel committee, and about the meaning of the word itself. The Nobel committees for the academic prizes are made up experts in the relevant fields. The committee for the Nobel peace prize is made up of European politicians, which is why you end up with people like Arafat winning the prize. It is completely unrelated to the academic prizes except in name. The academic Nobel prizes are seen as symbols of great intelligence, which is why people use it in the way I did. You could have just left well enough alone after I pointed out your ignorance regarding this fact, but for some reason you like to continue making a fool of yourself.

  74. gus Says:

AB, you are just proving that you are a child.
You made a moronic statement and I cleaned your clock. You tried to use the Nobel Prize to make a point, and you failed. The Nobel committee isn’t known for “logic”.
AB, you are clearly to emotionally unstable to take your medicine. So instead of being civil, you escalate. I’ve got your number Aaron, and you know it. Please by all means continue. You are melting a bit every day.

  75. AB Says:

This is hilarious. You make a little blunder because you’re ignorant about a topic, but you’re too stubborn to admit it, and then just keep on digging yourself deeper.

I guess you need me to break out the handpuppets again. Read slowly if you need to. Winning a Nobel prize is seen as a sign of great intelligence. Because of that fact people often use it as a figure of speech to describe someone showing intelligence or a lack thereof. It has nothing to do with logic specifically. Saying “there goes that Nobel-caliber logic again” means “there you go being not very smart again”. I’ll bet you’ve heard someone refer to a person as Einstein when they say something stupid right? Do you then ask them, “Hey, what the hell does theoretical physics have to do with this?” Because that’s what you’re doing here, and it’s going so far over your head that if you ever do figure it out you’re going to feel pretty silly.

The funniest part is that your original reply only mentioned the Nobel peace prize, which has absolutely nothing to do with the connotation of Nobel I was using, and that just proves that you had no idea what I was talking about originally but chose to pipe in anyways. So now you back away from that one and act like you were making some completely different point, only the different point is wrong as well. It’s like you got caught saying 2+2=5 and you defend yourself with, “Duh, I know that it’s 6, why would you say that it’s 4?” That’s some Nobel-caliber thinking right there gus. Oh no! The Nobel committee isn’t known for adding up numbers, what a moronic thing for me to use Nobel there!

  76. gus Says:

I think the meltdown is complete.
    Get some counseling son.

  77. AB Says:

Haha, I figured you would give up now. You’re no different than Peter, if someone shows you’re wrong you just attack the person. Ad hominem at its best. I know it must feel frustrating to fail so miserably when your opponent is so cocky, but I gave you every chance to bow out gracefully. Tell us again about the Nobel peace prize and logic. I’m impressed, you’re like the Euclid of debating. (gus: what the hell does planar geometry have to do with this?)

It takes a big man to admit when he’s wrong, maybe one day you’ll grow the stones to do it.

  78. gus Says:

    Yawn.
    Alfred Nobel invented dynamite.
    He regretted doing so.
His legacy like your fathers Aaron, is a joke.
As they say, “a little knowledge is dangerous”.
Aaron, you aren’t bright nor sharp. You have “a little” knowledge.
I’m fully aware of Nobel and his legacy.
I’m fully aware of boys like you, emotionally unstable and desperate to make themselves relevant.
    Yawn.
    Your slip is showing junior.

  79. AB Says:

If you’re fully aware then why were you completely unaware of the difference between the Nobel peace prize and the the other prizes? And why does nearly every post contain something completely irrelevant, in this case Alfred Nobel and dynamite, and his “legacy”. If you didn’t know that it’s a common figure of speech to use Nobel in that way, just say “I didn’t understand what you meant, I thought you were referring to the peace prize.” There’s no shame in that, I’m sure there’s plenty of figurative terms I’m not aware of. But continuing to act as if you had a point just makes you look silly.

How funny that out of this entire thread of comments you chose to hone in on one little blurb that you didn’t understand to somehow prove some point (and what exactly is the point you’re trying to prove here?), and despite repeatedly being shown the error of your ways you just fall back on good old ad hominem.

It doesn’t matter if I’m a “boy” who is neither “bright nor sharp”, that doesn’t change the fact that you are 100% wrong on this one. You’ve yet to even come close to disputing that.

Insulting someone’s family is also a pretty classy move. My father died 5 and half years ago this month, thanks for taking what was just a simple political argument and lowering it into the dregs of classless filth.

  80. gus Says:

    Wow. You are a nut.

  81. AB Says:

I think what you meant to say was “I’m sorry for getting personal and bringing your family into this, that was way too far, I apologize.” Well, someone with a modicum of class would anyways.

  82. gus Says:

    zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Wow.

  83. MoreRightThanYou Says:

Things I hate about liberal blog posters:
    - If you disagree with their political POV, you are stupid.
    - If you dispute their facts, you are a troll.
    - Rather than apologize, they will mount a vicious personal attack on you. They would take a bullet to the head before admitting they are out of line.

Things I’ve noticed about some conservative blog posters:
    - They are mimmicking these behaviors more and more (especially as of late).

A true conservative welcomes dissent. It just give them another opportunity to present their POV in an intelligent way.

Rednecks view dissent as a threat. They think by calling you stupid and insulting you repeatedly, they will somehow be right by default.

Rednecks and Lefties….share the same DNA. It’s weird.
