It’s been a long day, so this will be short, but feel free to add your views.
John McCain gave a solid speech, it had some great points, and he defiantly drew distinctions between he and The One.
Several moonbat hecklers had to be removed, showing us once again, the class of America’s left.
John McCain is a true American hero and will make a good leader of the free world, and as long as he makes decisions like the one he made last Friday, we’re going be a better place.
By the way, I was watching Ch. 10, the PBS station, and they left the speech at 10:00… WTF?
WOW! What an ending!
I’m going to fight for my cause every day as your President. I’m going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank Him: that I’m an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach. Fight with me. Fight with me.
Fight for what’s right for our country.
Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.
Fight for our children’s future.
Fight for justice and opportunity for all.
Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.
Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America.
Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We’re Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.
John McCain and Sarah Palin will be in the Milwaukee area tomorrow, I can’t make it, but if anyone goes and takes pictures, we would love to see them if you would like to share, please send them to tips@badgerblogger.com We may not be able to post them all, but we will try to get some up. Also, if anyone wants to recount their appearance, we would love to hear about it too.

When McCain said all that:
“I’m going to fight for my cause every day as your President. I’m going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank Him: that I’m an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach. Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We’re Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history. “
I went through so many emotions – loved it. He impressed me tonight more than I ever thought possible.
And…”we never quit”.

I wrote this in an email to a fellow Palin supporter who reminded me to watch McCain’s speech:
“Sorry—I only lasted about 5 sentences before turning it off. I tuned in just in time for his paean to his bi-partisanship. He immediately had me yelling at the TV just like he always used to and reminding me of exactly why I have always despised his political decisions.
Bipartisanship is useless if it leads to giving the Left everything it wants and giving America the back of your hand.
Reaching our to the Left in order that “something be done†is worse than useless if it leads to bad things and bad policies and bad results for the country. Here we are again with the compromise with Kennedy that destroyed our immigration laws, the compromise with Feingold that led to restrictions of the free speech of private citizens at the expense of leftist activist groups, and the compromise in the Senate that ended any chance of President Bush appointing any federal judge below the USSC. Coming up is the compromise in the Senate that will terminate any oil drilling in this country ‘in exchange for’ $84 million diverted from the taxpayer to leftist environmental groups.”
Rousing finishes in a speech are useless if his plans in office are bad for the country. It’s going to be a rough 4 years for America no matter who is in the chair in the Oval Office.

I feel Mc Cain gave a speech that appealed to Moderates and was brilliant.
Here Why.
Obama was usual liberal causes with no plan how he was going to change anything. He promices 95% tax break to familes but no idea how he was going to do that.
McCain speech gave what we need to do better and plans to change. It was not angry but sold McCain on who he is. He is a Maverick that he believes in people who put the country first.
Was it the best speech in the world, probaly not but it was heartfelt, american, idealistic, and at times extremely moving.
The class and substance award go to John McCain.

This is a tap in.
Do you trust Obama?
Unless you are a Marxist, a fool, or John Foost, you don’t trust Obama. Why would you?
Do you trust John McCain?
Unless you are ultra-partisan one way or another, you do. He’s proven his character for decades.
The game is over.

I thought McCain did a good job of telling us why we need change. He tried to present himself as the change we need, but you don’t send a Republican to clean up a Republican mess.

gus,
Millions of us trust Obama. We are patriotic Americans who want legitimate governments, fair markets, and healthy environments.

Tell that to Sarah Palin.

If you are a patriotic American but yet don’t think we have a legitimate government, you are not a patriotic American, peaceisactive.

Wow, 38.9 million Americans watched John McCain’s speech! That’s more than The One’s speech last week.
