Yep, Barack Obama has been wishing that racist comments would have been yelled at McCain rallies, but since they haven’t happened, be just made it up.
Secret Service says “Kill him” allegation unfounded
SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him†when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Oabama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him.”
News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.
Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

I don’t think this one story disproves the negative tone that has been heard recently at Republican rallies.
I haven’t seen a video of the “kill him” comment, but when I first heard the story, I thought the audience member was talking about Ayers.
If I were a Presidential candidate and heard stories about people shouting “kill him” at the opponents rallies, this would affect me very deeply whether the story ended up being true or not.
I have seen the video where McCain asks the crowd who is the real Barack Obama and someone in the crowd responds “terrorist”.
When we are fighting a war against “terrorism” with all the hatred that is directed at terrorists, I think it is shameful behavior for politicians to attach the word “terrorist” (“Obama palls around with terrorists”) to a Presidential candidate.
This makes it sound like Obama is communicating with Al Qaeda or something when the true story is that he served on a board with a professor who took his opposition to the Vietnam War way too far 40 years ago when Obama was eight years old.
When the audience members say Obama is an Arab or that he is a terrorist, this is probably the reaction the McCain Palin ticket wanted, they just didn’t want it to be out in the open.
Their attacks and the crowd reaction to the attacks have backfired on them in a huge way.

Turns Out, “Conservative Lynch Mob” Narrative A Sham
Posted yesterday at the Northeastern Pennsylvania Times-Leader, apparently the only person who heard “Kill Him” at a McCain-Palin rally was the reporter who wrote about it. The US Secret Service aggressively investigates any death threat made against those under their protection. They investigated this report and found no one…not one person to corroborate Scranton Times-Tribune reporter, David Singleton.
Should reporters make the news? With organizations like MSNBC calling loud windbags “journalists” and “reporters”, the line distinguishing one who observes and reports versus one who bloviates has become blurred. We’ve seen time and again, irresponsible news agencies relying on unsourced news reports lowering the journalistic standard. How hard would it have been for Singleton to turn to someone next to him and say, “did you hear that? Are you willing to comment on it?” Being a reporter ain’t rocket science.
Surprising no one…much of the media, lefty bloggers, self-proclaimed guardians of liberty and other legitimized nutbags leaped onto the bandwagon to immediately label conservatives as an angry mob out to lynch Obama. Slapping history in the face and belittling the real struggle black Americans faced throughout the civil rights movement…this kind of hyperbole portrays desperation. I don’t know why, Obama is still leading in the polls.

Somehow I doubt that the mere fact that their is no evidence here is going to carry much weight on college campuses. A familiar feature of various “j’accuse” campus incidents seems to be that what counts is not whether something actually happened, but whether it could have happened.
That is, if the alleged incident matches the observer’s viewpoint, then it may as well have happened (even if it didn’t).
Consider, for example, the alleged rape of a black stripper by white Lacrosse team members at Duke University. How many believed it (sans credible evidence) simply because it fit their internal narratives of white privilege and black victims?
And so, for many, it doesn’t really matter whether the incident actually happened– because it could have happened, and therefore it might have happened and even if it didn’t, what difference does that make anyway?

@Bruce…to further echo my own point…had I been a reporter at the Pennsylvania rally and wanted to report that someone shouted “kill him” in reference to Obama, the first thing I would have done would have been to document any witnesses to it. It does nothing but bolster your story and your credibility. Absent any such corroboration…this story is far from credible. Poor journalistic standards is a big reason the dead-tree media is fading.

It’s been well documented that, during the Forrestal fire, two bombs were discharged from McCain’s A-4 aircraft. Now, McCain was in the cockpit of this aircraft after crashing aircraft on two previous occasions. Most pilots lose their wings after one crash. In his own book, Faiths of My Fathers, McCain says, “”I feared my ambitions were among the casualties in the calamity that had claimed the Forrestal.” In the aftermath of this tragedy, he was still putting his own interests ahead of anything else. Pity.

He re-entered the national conversation as soon as people realized there was a good chance he (Ayers) would have a friend and ally in the White House.

Years ago, before people outside of Chicago knew who Obama was, he had no problem befriending and working with Ayers. Only now, with cameras aimed at him, does Obama distance himself, downplay his relationship with and denounce Ayers’ terrorist ways.

What Bill Ayers is now is a broken down ultra-liberal hippy douchebag who used to be one of several persons who committed acts of violence in furtherance of a political cause…..I.E. TERRORISM! The Weather Underground were responsible for killing two San Francisco Police Officers, two New York State Troopers and a security guard. He was not convicted in court because of legal technicalities relating to investigators not following procedure and legal guidelines in order to obtain evidence…but this evidence was not forged. The absence of a successful prosecution does not alter the reality of what happened and who did it.
Ayers and his filthy hippy wife were fugitives for 10 years. He has shown no remorse for what he did. People like that deserve ridicule, isolation and probably worse. So what does it say about those persons who provide them prestige, status, funding, aid and comfort?
