How did you find him?
November 8th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Email is your friend
November 8th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
I’m glad to see that he’s blogging again. I hope to get a chance to talk to him more at a future DR.
November 8th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Unbelievable.
The guys makes a veiled threat on the life of the president-elect, and wishes for Americans to die in terrorist attacks. What will the reaction from BadgerBlogger be? Public condemnation of the remarks? A call for a retraction and apology?
Nope, just a link to his new blog. Classy.
November 8th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
AB… Bite me!
November 8th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
Thanks Patrick – the same thoughts were going through my head
November 8th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
And the class keeps on shining through. Thanks for proving my point.
Just so we’re clear about appropriate responses to public comments: making a harmless joke at Nancy Reagan’s expense = classless and inappropriate, deserving of rebuke. Saying you want innocent Americans to get killed by terrorists = hey, why don’t I ignore it and just link to your blog.
November 8th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
I bet it wasn’t really Peter who set up that “new” blog.
November 8th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
I would be so upset of you thought we were so classless that you never bothered to come back…
November 8th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Yeah, when someone confronts you and they are right it’s easier to just plug your ears and hope they go away then to actually try and defend one’s own position.
November 8th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
Actually it would be easier to just delete your posts.
November 8th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Easy, yes, but mostly just cowardly. Now what would be difficult and noble and show some integrity would be to defend yourself instead of just throwing a tantrum.
November 8th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Bluestater, I’ll take that bet, we can set up a Pay Pal account and each deposit our money and let them hold it in escrow. Please?
November 8th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
Let’s hope they keep him on a short leash.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Who would keep him on a short leash? Has freedom of speech already gone by the wayside? Granted, the comments on B&S were out of line, but other than that, he’s had very thoughtful, well thought out postings on his blog.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
AB is short for annoying bitch.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
They? The Obama Speech Police? The Fairness Doctrine hasn’t destroyed the First Amendment… Yet.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
My thoughts exactly – what the hell is this “short leash” mentality. Big Brother is watching? Not too far in the future, I fear.
November 8th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
Veiled? What Peter said about Obama was “I don’t hope for his success. In fact, I seriously hope this country gets attacked by terrorists over and over again and every possible bad thing that can happen does happen … to people like you. If I had the money, I’d put a bounty on his melon. Seriously.”
November 9th, 2008 at 3:20 am
Come on John, you knew he meant he would put a bounty on his muskmelon.
November 10th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
So then, there will be no accountability among his peers for what he said? You proudly link to his new blog, after he threatened the life of a Democratically elected public official?
This isn’t about free speech. He has the freedom to say whatever he wants.
This is about other people tolerating that speech, and approving of it, by linking to his new blog in a celebratory manner.
I believe that reflects very poorly on you.
November 10th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
I think it’s real classy when the President Elect has friends who were on the F.B.I most wanted list, and wish they had done more terror bombings and murders. Classy!
November 10th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
Nick I an sick of your condescending, argumentative bullshit. Since you have never liked or respected anything that has ever been posted here, why do you bother to come back? Is it just because you want to argue? Since I have had the pleasure [sic] to get to know you in person, I have allowed you more latitude than most, but I am through with that. I don’t care what you think, you don’t respect me, and God knows you don’t respect Glenn, so why don’t you just take your opinions somewhere where someone gives a shit.
I understand why some people argue points here, they really have principled differences, but you simply want to engage in personal attacks whenever you leave a comment. I don’t comment on your blog because I disagree with you on many, if not most things, so I chose to ignore you, why don’t you just do the same and go away.
As for Peter and what he said, I’m not going to defend him or what he said, and again I will say what he said was wrong. I also have known Peter and know that he has a passion for what he believes in, and what he said was done in a flash of frustration. Many of us were frustrated on election night (we were all there at Papa’s), he said something that shouldn’t have been said, but I am not going to condemn him. If that reflects very poorly on me, as you believe, so be it. It is just another reason why you should just go away.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:47 pm

Because moonbats tend to be nosey busy bodies who worry about what everyone else around them is doing. Freed from regular employment through social programs, they are thus burdened with an overabundance of free time. They have little to fill their lives with, so they spend it nagging and finger wagging.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
a man threatens the life of the president elect and then says he “seriously hope[s] this country gets attacked by terrorists over and over again and every possible bad thing that can happen does happen…” and this blog refuses to condemn him, and champions his new blog. then says “he said something that shouldn’t have been said, but I am not going to condemn him”
wow, i hope no one who runs this blog has any aspirations for any political office. if so, be prepared to defend your continued associations with someone who wishes death to Americans. sounds familiar, no?
November 10th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
Peter said something inappropriate at Drinking Right, too? What did he say?
November 10th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
I think it’s stunning that there’s been no repudiation of Peter’s remarks from the folks here at BB. I’m willing to bet if McCain had won the election and one of us liberals had said something akin to what Peter said about Barack Obama about McCain, you folks would be up in arms.
November 11th, 2008 at 7:04 am
And the trolls crawl out of the woodwork like cockroaches. Like I said, I will not defend what he said, he can do that himself. As for me, Obama will get more respect from me that President Bush has ever gotten from some of you.
November 11th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Where were all of you to repudiate the hanging effigy of Sarah Palin?
Where were you to cry foul when protestors decided to show up at Palin rallys wearing a “C” T-Shirt, in front of children?
How many of your have admonished Daily Kos for its outright made-up attacks on Sarah Palin?
Where was your fine moral outrage then?
November 11th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Jaeson, denigrating women and advocating violence against them on behalf of Obama is quite socially acceptable (see the entertainment-industrial complex, the National Organization for Women[sic], Obama’s own treatment of the women on his staff). The only people who are going display moral outrage over the treatment of Sarah Palin are the people who don’t care that they’re not invited to the hip cocktail parties anyway.
November 11th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
President Obama will also get more respect from me than many lefties have shown President Bush. I doubt I’ll accuse him of orchestrating a 9/11 inside job. Or of having New Orleans’ levy blown up after a hurricane to increase damage to black neighborhoods. I’ll probably never assert that “he does not care about white people”.
If I did, however, it would be fair. Right lefties?
November 11th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
All of a sudden we are supposed to repudiate one guy who says some angry things.
Was wasn’t Zach W.C.. calling for such repudiation before?? We all know the answer.
Liberalism is a disease.
November 13th, 2008 at 2:24 am
I do believe the “cockroaches” are choosing to be indignant over this because of their dislike for Peter. I guess the “guilt by association game” suits them just fine in this instance.
November 13th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Yes, Peter’s explained his previous death-wish on us all (“In fact, I seriously hope this country gets attacked by terrorists over and over again and every possible bad thing that can happen does happen … to people like you”) with the words “Do I hope we get hit over and over again by the jihadists? No. Do I believe we will? Sadly, yes. And the only silver lining in a black cloud that could kill millions of Americans is that it might take such events to give Americans the buyers’ remorse to once and for all send this bunch back to the kook fringe where it belongs.” Can anyone explain the difference between those two statements?
Roland, I’m not asking you to be indignant. I’m asking you to tell us what you think of Peter’s statements.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
People should not blog/type while frustrated.
Saying something out of frustration can sometimes be excused because the spoken word is fleeting…lost in the moment, hopefully taking the frustration with it.
Compared to blogging something out of frustration…those comments linger beyond the context of the moment.
I thought the comments were over the top. I’ve only seen the bits you all are blustering about, so I probably don’t know the full story. I don’t know if he meant them or not, I’ve never met Peter.
Guys like “Nick” go on as if we’re talking about a real threat to harm Obama…oh please, I highly doubt that…then demand we cut all ties and ostracize Peter. I think that reaction is a bit overly dramatic.
November 13th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
I have been humbled many a time, and have learned never to click “submit” or “publish” on any report, opinion, or comment – rational, reasoned, or otherwise – that you’re not prepared to defend forever.
‘Cuz I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, folks… in the Google age, much like Twinkies, what you hurl into cyberspace has an almost freakish and inexplicable shelf-life.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:56 am
I’m willing to bet if McCain had won the election and one of us liberals had said something akin to what Peter said about Barack Obama about McCain, you folks would be up in arms.
Nah…we’re pretty immune after 8 years of “Bill Kush”, “Buck Fush” and all the assassination fascination rantings. We wouldn’t be running around the blogosphere in packs campaigning to blacklist the offender…we’d probably just say, “see, I told you he was a jackass” and move on with our lives.
