A little something from the latest press release from Scott Walker, the man that talks the talk and walks the walk…
Doyles Broken Promise Hurts Wisconsin Taxpayer
Executive Walker keeps his promises, Doyle does notWauwatosa…Milwaukee County Executive and Candidate for Governor Scott Walker
kept his promise to freeze property taxes, while Governor Doyle broke his promise
resulting in increased property taxes. A report by the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance
highlights the problems that are associated with saying one thing and doing another.During the heated political battle of 2002 Jim Doyle promised to fund 2/3s of the cost
of public education. He broke that promise and Wisconsin property taxpayers are stuck
with the bill said Walker. He continued, The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance reported
last week that Doyles broken promise on school funding resulted in a 7.2% increase in
property taxes.Adding insult to the property tax increase, public school enrollment declined 0.3% last
year and the per-pupil cost went up $477.Jim Doyle and his Madison liberal machine do not understand that Wisconsin needs a
property tax freeze that forces all levels of government to examine their spending habits
and increase their efficiency, said Walker.I have proven that an Executive can be trusted and freeze taxes. When I am elected
Governor I will keep my promise to freeze taxes and cut spending all four years of my
first term. I did it as the Executive of Wisconsins largest county, and Ill do it again as
Governor.
