Mark Belling made it clear that Brian Fraley will not be back to host his show again. Belling was hacked off that Fraley is being mentioned to run against the strongly conservative Tom Reynolds. He doesn’t want his show being used for personal promotion for someone that is against one of the few reliable conservative votes in Wisconsin.
For the record, I agree with Belling (and Owen) I will not support anyone running against Reynolds either. His constant votes on my side of the issues overrides his quirkiness. I like Fraley’s stance on the issues, but Reagan’s 11th commandment takes precedence.
Waukesha County Board Chairman James Dwyer is running for the County Executive job against Dan Vrakas. Jim Dwyer is now running two ads implying that former County Exec. Dan Finley is supporting him. This Is False!
One of the ads says…
[Jim Dwyer is speaking and gives this quote] “Dan Finley has said, ‘the best qualified person to be County Executive, is the County Board Chair.’”
This is FALSE, Finley has not said this about Dwyer taking this position. (Finley was actually talking about himself, 15 years ago!) Not only is Finley not endorsing Dwyer, Finley came on the Mark Belling radio show to demand that his name be removed from the Dwyer ads. Finley’s wife Jennifer also came on the Charlie Sykes show this morning and made it clear that her husband is not supporting Dwyer, as a matter of fact, Jennifer Finley is running Dan Vrakas’ campaign!
Dwyer also dropped several other well known Conservative names like Scott Walker and Margaret Farrell to make it seem like they are also on Dwyer’s side, in fact, these people are either neutral or support Vrakas. Two weeks ago, Scott Walker came out with William McReynolds to endorse Vrakas!
Jim Dwyer is trying to act like a conservative, but Jim Doyle is raising money for him, the teachers and public employee unions are also planning to dump huge amounts of money on Dwyer’s behalf. He has fought against conservative issues like light rail and even the Tax Freeze! In fact he traveled around with Doyle supporting his budget. Dwyer is a Liberal, but he knows a Liberal can’t win in Waukesha County.
The election is next Tuesday Oct. 18, Get Out and Vote Vrakas!

Jessica McBride has devastating coverage on the incredible double standard. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter covering this was contacted directly by Dan Finley, but there is NOTHING in the paper about it. Dwyer is refusing to remove this ad!
Milwaukee hit 100 murders, more than a dozen more than all of last year. The Milwaukee paper hardly reports these things anymore, it was reported in the “News in brief” section.
I guess they think that if they don’t report it, then it didn’t happen…

The move will further stoke the debate between media traditionalists who want to maintain strict walls between news and commentary and those who argue such boundaries are elitist and undervalue the work of “citizen journalists.”
Blogs, short for Web logs, are easy-to-publish Web sites where millions of individuals post commentary from political analysis to personal musings, creating a grassroots publishing medium that challenges the authority of established media.
