The Journal Sentinel has finally caught onto a story that has been reported by a Madison TV station on Aug 31 and has been swirling around the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Blogosphere for better than a week. The story if of course how Adelman Travel was awarded a huge contract with the state, while giving $10,000 to Jim Doyle’s campaign in the months leading to the contract being awarded, and the final $7,000 just 6 days after the contract went into effect. (none of the other companies donated to the campaign during this time.) The members of the board agreed that Adelman travel was not they top choice.

I have added a Shout Box to the sidebar. This works much like an instant messenger or chat room. All you have to do it type in a message and send it and you can leave a message for all to see. I can set it to only allow comments from registered users, but hopefully I will be able to keep it open for all to use, but if it becomes necessary I can control who is allowed to post. I can also edit/delete posts if need be.
Any word that starts with http:// will be converted into a link automatically, so no need to code your links. Also, Smilies/Emticons
do convert automatically as well. Go play with it and have fun!
UPDATE: For the SPAM problem
I have also installed Bad-Behavior, this should help alleviate our comment spam problems.
UPDATE: Registration Update
To test the Bad Behavior script, I am opening up the comments to non-registered posters again. I may have to throw the locks back on if the spammers get through again, but we will see how it goes for now.
