No Runny Eggs points out this funny little tidbit that should make Milwaukee Public School Teachers cringe…
Jim Stingl points out in this morning’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the Hamilton/Bell playfield run by MPS has been identified as being run by an outfit called "Milwuakee Public Schools Recreation Division" for the last couple decades. Nobody bothered to check the spelling until this past Friday, when MPS officials finally promised to take down the sign.
A 10 year old Boy Scout in New Muenster (Kenosha County, Wi.) was hit and killed by a hit & run driver. The boy was walking on the shoulder of the road, and when hit, he was thrown over 100 feet where he was left to die.
We need to find this killer soon! The thoughts of what Moose Balian did to Jimmy Gengler and his family came immediately to mind and we can not let another family go through that hell again. The Kenosha Sheriffs Department has the following description from evidence that broke off of the truck.
The sheriff’s department said investigators found parts of a burgundy Ford full-size pickup truck or Bronco built between 1980 and 1986.
"A 12-inch square portion of the grill will be broken out, as well as the passenger side headlight and turn signal," McCarthy said.
McCarthy said the truck is close to the same maroon color that the Sheriff’s Department squad cars used to be, and asked for residents to look for the vehicle and call authorities.AP Wire | 10/23/2005 | Boy, 10, dies after hit-and-run crash in Kenosha
A 10-year-old New Muenster boy died Saturday after being hit by a truck while raising money for his Boy Scout troop.
Kenosha Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the vehicle, and the boy’s name had not been released Sunday afternoon.
Kenosha Sheriff Sgt. Timothy McCarthy said the boy was out selling frozen pizzas for his Boy Scout troop Saturday afternoon when he was hit.
A passing motorist saw the boy lying in the road and a damaged bicycle and called the sheriff’s department.
"He had been hit by a car and left to die in the street," McCarthy said. "At this time our reconstruction shows he was walking south on the shoulder when he was struck. The impact propelled him over 100 feet."
The boy was taken to Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was transferred to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, where he died of massive head wounds and internal injuries later that evening.

"There is no way the operator and-or occupants of this vehicle didn’t know they hit this kid," he said. "We want everybody looking for this guy."

I almost feel sorry for the Vikings, they have totally fallen apart. How long will Tice last? I would be shocked if he lasted the rest of he season… He might not make it to the end of this game!
"Sometimes you wake up and you say, ‘Man, I didn’t have anything to drink last night. I didn’t have anything fattening. So why do I want to puke?"
-Vikings Coach Mike Tice
Now I admit that the Packers can’t brag about their season this far, but the Vikings were expected to win the division, but they have totally lost any team cohesion.
Some probably noticed that the Users On Line counter service that I was using stopped working a few days ago, so I have done what I should have done in the first place and installed the WordPress plugin, so the counter is now on my server and will be more accurate.
As of now, it is at the top, above the Badger, but I may move it to the sidebar later. If you click it, you should be able to see who is where, and if you are registered and logged in, you will see your username, other wise you will be a guest.
