Alderman Michael McGee / McJackson / McJr is going to the State Elections Board to try to stop the recall against him. At least he has the right lawyer for it, Michael Maistelman is the one that lobbied this same Elections Board on behalf of Jim Doyle to manipulate their findings in their favor. This is still under criminal investigation by the Waukesha District Attorneys Office… Speaking of the Waukesha D.A., former D.A. Paul Bucher is now an attorney for McGee’s opponent, ViAnna Jordan.
McGee to ask for recall to be blocked
Milwaukee Ald. Michael McGee today will ask the state Elections Board to block a recall election against him, a contest that has drawn as much controversy as candidates.
In an appeal to be filed today with the state Elections Board, McGee and his attorneys argue that the city Election Commission should have delayed its ruling on the election in the face of an ongoing criminal investigation related to the recall.
About two months ago, someone got into my garage and stole my lawnmower… It was a very nice mower, only about 4 years old and did the job great. I was angry, but I controlled my self nicely, I thought. I didn’t even rant about it, or even mention it here on the blog. The grass was already cut for the final time of the season, so I have a few months to check out the off-season sales before I buy a new one, I was just glad that they didn’t get my snow blower…
Tonight when I got home from work, with talk of snow for the weekend, I wanted to make sure that the snow blower was all gassed up and ready to go when i needed it… Only one small problem… SOME DIRTY ROTTEN THIEVING BASTARD STOLE MY SNOW BLOWER!
I’ll bet my paycheck that it was the same person, he seen that nice snow blower sitting there, but he didn’t need that at the time, he was in the market for a lawnmower, but he knew where to get a snow blower when he needed it.
I don’t even know how long it has been gone. It is usually dark when I am in the garage, and the snow blower (and the lawnmower when I had one) are tucked out of the way, so I wouldn’t necessarily see them unless I wanted to, so it could have been gone for a week for all I know.
I’m sure glad we don’t have a crime problem here in Milwaukee, just ask the Mayor.
The answer is 11,152… The question is, “how many times were Milwaukee police called to Milwaukee Public Schools last year?”
That’s right, police were called to MPS schools 11,152 times during the 2005-06 school year. Let’s do some math… MPS operates on a 180 day schedule, so that means that police were called to MPS schools on average of about 62 times per day.
11,152 calls to police: ‘Shocking’
11,152 police calls to Milwaukee schools during the 2005-’06 school year. The Milwaukee Police Association and Ald. Robert Donovan released the figure, obtained by the union in a public information request to the Police Department.
