Dipping my toe into the 21st Century
Saturday, October 6th, 2007I finally got myself an iPod… I have had am mp3 player for a few years, but my old Rio has finally died on me. I’m not a music listener, but I really enjoy listening to audio books while at work, so a player that plays the special .aa audio from Audible.com. As I narrowed my search, I centered on the iPod Nano. So today, I have entered the genuine iPod world.
I went from my 512MB Rio to a 4GB iPod in a much smaller package, and this little thing even plays video with incredible clarity.
Yes, I know some of you have iPods with huge hard drives, but this little bitty thing is just right for me. And at work, I use an adapter that slips into the cassette player and plugs into the headphone jack, so I can listen over the stereo.
It is smaller than a credit card, and not much thicker. It is an all metal case, so it should be pretty rugged. My ears don’t do ear buds, but any headphones will work fine. I downloaded a TV show from iTunes and the video quality is really surprising, even small type on the video screen is very readable.
(BTW, mine is silver)
