As is typical with coverage of the new President, the author has to drone on about how people are so wildly enthusiastic for this guy. The meat and potatoes of this story take a back seat to the pop-star gushing.
Buried in the last couple paragraphs of this AP story (Short trip, long agenda: Obama darts up to Canada) is the fact that Obama is against Canada’s “oil sands” method of oil production. The US relies on Canada for more of its oil than all of OPEC countries combined. So what’s his agenda going to be on this issue?
