Yes, the slacker is of course me ;-) Just wanted to take a moment to give a slacker update and to thank my friends Bruce, Glenn and Roland as well as those of you that still make BadgerBlogger a part of your day with your comments, open lines and emails. It’s been a rough two months for me, with so much to say, but I just haven’t been able to type it it. Typing is still a bit painful, but the control of my left hand and fingers is getting better and I can type more before that left paw gives out on me.

Also, since going back to work, I have had less time, my first week back, I put in a bunch of overtime, and then today is my first day off in two weeks. So I want to give my paw a little rest today and get back to a more normal posting schedule.

I have been twittering quite a bit, if you Twitter, you can follow me here. What’s Twitter? Twitter is sort of a cross between text messaging, a chatroom and a blog. It allows you to post very short messages and follow your friends and others as they follow your conversations. Some people have fun with it, there are news & media sources, all sorts of interesting things.

  1. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Hang in there buddy and stay with that physical therapy. Bruce, Roland and I will try to cover. Well, I will try as Bruce and Roland already do an outstanding job. By the way, I just got into this Facebook thing at the urging of a friend and am still working my way through it with my red and white cane, so if anyone asks to “be my friend” and I ask some screening questions before confirming you, don’t take it personal. It’s just my nature to be a little suspicious.

  2. Bruce Says:

Patrick, glad to hear you’re getting back into the swing of things. Trust me, we’ve been missing you around here.

As Glenn has now publicly acknowledged his recent Facebook venture, I feel obligated to remind our female visitors that Glenn is single, enjoys traveling, photography and watching movies, and loves furry kitty-cats.

This is gonna mess up your bad-ass persona, buddy.

  3. Phel Says:

Patrick, hopefully the worst is behind you now. Hang in there :)

  4. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Bruce, you let the cat out of the bag (pun intended). There goes my image.

  5. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Just remember, the Godfather liked cats too.

  6. Bruce Says:

I like cats, Glenn. I’ve been a cat owner every day of my life since I was 6 years old.

For those of you keeping score, that’s 31 years. Ugh.

  7. Patrick Dorwin Says:

Liar! No one owns a cat, they allow you to serve them.

  8. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

That is definitely a fact. If I come back in a second life, I want to come back as a cat (so long as I can be an indoor cat only).

  9. Anon Says:

And here I thought you’d want to come back as my dog…Glenn. ;-)

  10. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Good one. I’ll have to THINK about that.

  11. Chris from Racine Says:

I sometimes feel that my life has been reduced to serving 4 cats, one husband and one male child. *sigh* And people wonder why I’m on the internet so much! :)

    BTW - I still think you’re a badass Glenn!!

  12. Chris from Racine Says:

BTW Glenn, I truly believe that whether a cat is an indoor cat or not is solely the cat’s decision…

  13. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Could be Chris. I know where I’d rather be though. Warm; fed; and snuggled with. What more could a kitty ask for?

  14. HeatherRadish Says:

    Sashimi. Flown in daily.
