    The West Bend Public Library has posted pornographic, sexually explicit materials on their website geared for minors; 6th - 8th grade. Mrs. Maziarka has filed a formal complaint with the library asking them to either put such materials in the adult section or have parental permission and also supply MORE books for balance, books on abstainence and being ex-gay.

    The ACLU is watching this closely. However, since we would like MORE books added that show the opposite view I highly doubt they will stand up and say..yes add more books on abstainence.

    Meetings have been scheduled and changed. Recently the meeting was scheduled for 3/26 and now Mr. Tyree wishes to cancel the meeting and states to Mrs. Maziarka that she needs to re-file since she has added books to her complaint. Although according to Mrs. Maziarka she has filed an addemdum according the rules specified to her.

    The library is stalling because they know that the majority of residents in Washington County would like this explicit material to not fall into the hands of 11 year olds.

    Washington County libraries are “Share” libraries so if you live anywhere in Washington County your children has access to such books.

    Ha! My anti-spam word was Reagan, a great, great man.

    Anyways, I am asking if anybody knows of any good videos that have a conservative view, the truth, the opposing viewpoint of “Global Warming” or Climate Change caused by us, humans.

    I am asking this because I am a public school teacher and Earth Day is coming up. At our staff meeting the other day, the usual tree huggers are toting the all school shown videos to be shown that day, and they sound even worse than An Inconvienient Truth by Al Gore.

    Last year our principal was wonderful and announced to make sure that anything on global warming shown to kids needs to be presented with the other side of the issue, since it is mostly a political issue. But this year, not sure why, that was not backed up by him, when some of us brave conservative teachers spoke up about it.

    Gosh, I am so sick of schools doing this!!!! I see it first hand every single day.

    I don’t know if I’d call it “a conservative view of the truth” but it treats climate as a subject for scientific inquiry instead of insisting the seas will boil as a punishment for the sin of human progress, so it’s definitely on the opposite side of Al Gore’s camp.

    Fargo ND. is about to be hit with a devasting flood that will likely flood most of the city. It is on par with Katrina as far as devasting goes, if it goes as forecast. Let’s see how Obama handles this situation and how the citizens handle the problem compared to the ingrates of New Orleans.

    Question for all? Several states including WV KS MN and others are considering legislation or have some drug testing requirements for state benefits, welfare and unemployment compensation.

    Just what Milwaukee County needs to save money and apply state benefits to those deserving other than milking the system.

    Your take? Your aldermans? Your County Supervisor?
