We talked here at BadgerBlogger just a few days ago about the conquests of Madison’s so-called “parka bandit.” Well, the elusive parka’d one apparently struck two more times over the weekend, according to authorities.

Score: Parka Bandit: 11 — Madison police: 0

How does this guy always manage to flee the scene of the crime, often on foot, without ever being intercepted?

I have little faith in Madison-PD to get anything right, except spin serious incidents into sounding humorous on their web-site.

I think I read the report wrong. It said he was arrested for HEROIN possession. The poor boy needs help. He is a victim.

  3. Gman Says:

well, supposedly this guy confessed to two of the robberies. We’ll see though.

  4. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

If I read this news account correctly, it appears the Madison Police stopped this guy on the basis of a description. Sounds like they learned something from awhile back when they were watching a house for a homicide suspect but didn’t stop a guy matching the suspect description when observed. This is a good thing, and the Sergeant who made this stop should be commended.

I sure hope they didn’t “profile” this poor needy addict. That would be wrong.

Because liberals believe the state should be the protector; people should not be proactive in defending themselves, but passive.

So of course this guy gets away with crimes again and again because no one’s going to stop him and - goodness knows - few in Madison are armed.
