Billed as one of the bigger mistakes of George HW Bush’s Presidency, Souter was considered a liberal. His leaving will allow Obama to nominate his replacement. According to David Savage at ChicagoBreakingNews.com:
“Souter’s career will go down in history as one of many justices who proved to be entirely different than what was forecast. ”
Hmmm…A New Hampshire Republican who turned out to not be so conservative…that’s a stunner.

Another of the idiot Bush’s picks in order “to go along to get along”. In my opinion, the worst Supreme Court justice in the 20th Century. We can thank the Bush crime family for the near demise of the Republican Party. First, it was; “READ MY LIPS - NO NEW TAXES”, then David Souter. Next, it was “Operation Desert Shield” and the guvmint purses opened up, followed by “Operation Desert Storm”, and the purses opened wider! Then when things got pretty hot, and the elections were nearing, a quick retreat, but it wasn’t enough. The election is lost to another husband & wife Commie team, and another tax hike! No attention to the Constitutions “ex post facto” clause, Blow Job Klinton made it RETROACTIVE! And Bob Dope and all the other Republicans followed like sheep. Sotomayor may actually be better than Souter, the jury will be out on this one for quite awhile.
